Stitching on shoes.

Review for Bedos Leatherworks - Steve Doudaklian The transformation of my vintage Florsheim Imperials is truly night and day. These shoes arrived at Bedos Leatherworks worn and tired, and what Steve returned to me looks like a masterpiece fresh out of a bespoke workshop. Steve didn't just resole them--he completely recrafted the shoes from the ground up with unmatched skill. The welt work, stitching, and finishing are flawless, far surpassing anything I've ever seen from factory production. Every detail was handled with precision, and the shoes now look better than when they were new. On top of that, Steve went above and beyond by creating custom shoe trees, beautifully stamped with the Imperial logo. It's that level of detail and pride in craftsmanship that makes his work so special. If you want to see your shoes not just restored but elevated, Bedos Leatherworks is the place. Steve's artistry proves that true craftsmanship can breathe new life into classics--and even surpass their original glory.

The finished product!

I recently had a pair of Florsheim Yuma Loafers, which I purchased in 1983, completely restored by Steve Doudaklian, who owns Bedo's Leather Works. The shoes were in miserable condition. He painstakingly refurbished them, replacing the heel and every other component that showed any sign of deterioration. He featured my shoes in one of his latest videos. Rarely do you see such a wondrous piece of art. I'll have these shoes for the rest of my life. Thank you so much, Steve and Bedo's Leatherworks.

I first found Steve/Bedo's Leatherworks through their YouTube channel and all the repair work videos Steve posts. Really gives you a lot of confidence in someone when you can watch them work and the attention to detail Steve gives to everything. My beloved Fossil messenger bag was starting to develop some holes from so much use, and having been a follower on youtube for so long, I sent it off to Steve. And, man, he worked wonders and saved my bag--now it's ready for another ten years of service! I really can't recommend Steve enough--top notch work and a nice guy to boot.

I regret only one thing - that our scale only goes to five stars. If I could award more, rest assured Bedo's Leatherworks would receive the full measure permitted me. What they have done for my family is amazing. 13 years ago...we went though a pretty tough spot, medically. I bought my wife a pair of slippers. Long and short - she wore them nearly every day around the house...for 13 years straight! By the time I noticed, they were so knackered that they were barely two straps of leather dangling from her feet. What can I say? She had an emotional attachment to those slippers as they had seen her through a very challenging time. Regrettably, she has been facing some new challenges recently and her old friends were at their end. Thankfully, I've been watching Steve's excellent video series on the store's YouTube channel. It was about two months ago that I thought...if anyone can rescue these poor bedraggled slippers, it would be Bedo's Leatherworks. Over the intervening two months, he worked nothing short of Santa's Magic on my wife's slippers. Yesterday, we picked them up and surprised her with the final unveiling. She was ecstatic. I was beyond pleased. Please understand...money is not the driving force behind this restoration. It was the desire for a caregiver spouse to see his wife smile. And smile she surely did. Thank you to Steve for being the incredible artist and master craftsman he is. She will wear these for many years to come. Slipper well, my friends.

The thickness of the quality leather

I asked the owner to build up a leather sheath for an old knife given to me by my father. Mind you while the knife isn't a family heirloom, but it is a good back up camping knife. Regardless, he charged me $100 upfront for the sheath and to say that it is a cheap quality product doesn't begin to describe the poor craftsmanship that went into this. The leather is ridiculously thin, and poor quality. It doesn't even properly hold the knife. Unfortunately I cannot post video but see the pictures, mind you he charged me $100 for this. When I challenged him, his response was that this is good quality leather and that he would give me a discount on future purchases. No worries, I'll never be back. Please see the pictures. For scale, I am using a penny...

I had a men's leather jacket repaired and restored, replaced zipper and lining and reconditioned the leather. Excellent timely work.

If I could rate this business Zero, i would. Poor ethics, unprofessionalism, continuous moving date of pick up, rudness.

Every fashion-maven knows that finding the perfect shoe at the right price is a Cinderella moment…read more Once this match made in heaven occurs, savoring your designer shoes requires researching the best cobbler who will take care of your red-soled babies like his own. Well, I've found the best cobbler on the 2nd floor, over the McDonald's in Tyson's Corner Mall. This place can repair, protect and revitalize your shoes. From giving your designer digs a rubber or their interesting shiny red sole to new welting for your cowboy kickers to stain protecting. They do it all and quickly.

I stopped by The Shoe Shoppe in Tysons because I have a pair of slingback heels that I love, but…read morethe back strap constantly slips off my foot and makes them almost impossible to walk in. I really wanted to wear them to my cousins wedding and this shop came recommended. I originally thought the strap needed to be shortened, but the staff suggested a different fix. They told me that adding a pad under my foot and a non-slip band on the strap would solve the issue. It helped a little, but not completely leaving me somewhat disappointed. In addition to not receiving a complete fix, what really disappointed me was the service or lack thereof. The man working there barely looked up from what he was doing and never asked me to try on the shoe to see the problem for himself. He gave short, vague suggestions and seemed uninterested in actually helping. I had to walk back and forth to the shelves three separate times to find the products he mentioned, rather than him taking a moment to show me where they were. The whole interaction felt dismissive and rushed. The shop itself is tucked away inside Tysons Mall, so it is easy to miss unless you are looking for it. While it is convenient if you are already nearby, I would not make a special trip back. For a store that specializes in shoes, I expected more attention and care. The experience left me unimpressed and still struggling with the same pair of shoes.
