My husband and I went to Botta on Friday night with friends. They only make roman pizza on friday and saturday. The menu had options that we have only seen in Italy. It was noisy and small but the service and food was some of the best we have had. It was by far the best pizza we have had. It is very much like the fresh and delicious pizza we had in Italy. We had a wonderful, fresh salad and meatballs for starters. They were also delicious. My husband had a sandwich on freshly baked bread. He said it was good but it did come out well before the rest. The pizza and the sauce was not greasy like so many restaurants make in the US. Botta may have a few kinks to work out based on some of the other reviews, but with food this good, we could ignore a lot. We will be back and hope they do well enough to get a bigger place! read more

Botta is the real deal! The last time we enjoyed pizza this good was in Naples. My wife, Nancy (who was raised by Italian grandparents from Naples on Long Island), and I ordered the Margherita pizza and the Meatlovers pizza and both were spectacularly tasty. The owner - Enrico - insists on fresh ingredients and this quest for perfection is evident in every bite. He honed his cooking skills in Naples, and Viera is lucky to have a pizzeria of this high quality in our backyard. The service is first class - Kevin treated us like family. Food, yes!! Everything else, no. The pizza is truly amazing and easily a top contender for best in the area, but do yourself a favor and get takeout. The service was shockingly awful with four servers for such a small restaurant. The atmosphere is very odd, including the clubby music choice and awkward table set up. The wine was terrible with cheap, stemless glasses and they only give you tiny plates for the entire meal. I got an email that my order was ready 5 minutes after placing the order for pick up. I live about 10 minutes from the store. By the time I got home the Roma white pizza was stone cold. It tasted like it was made possibly an hour before. The meatballs were ok, but the bread that came with them was cold and chewy. When we've dined inside, it has taken up to a half hour to get the same pizza. So how could one have gotten ready in 5 minutes. Obviously, it wasn't fresh. That was $38+ in the trash. What a great addition to Brevard. A quaint little pizza shop with an open kitchen concept. Our server was very gracious and answered all of our quirky questions. Four of us split the Caesar salad ( menu says it's for 2 people but we couldn't finish the whole thing) and Romano and marscapone dip to start. First the Caesar- made with house made Caesar dressing and an amazing chimichurri anchovy sauce to die for! (We had it on the side for dipping) just the right amount of saltiness to cleanse the palate. And the. Came the marscapone dip which was pure heaven!!!! Very fresh earthy herbs that complemented the silkiness of the marscapone (which we also used as a dipping sauce). We (4 of us) planned on 2 pies (as they offer 2 types of crust), but after eating the apps we chose just 1- the meat lovers pizza with the "soft crust" ((which I will say was quite deceiving as it looked as if it should have been a hard "bendable" piece of pizza but was surprisingly soft to the touch). The herb ricotta, the bite of the fennel sausage definitely takes the cake! We also ordered a side of "mixed mushrooms " that were unique to say the least- none of that "canned dirty tasting shrooms" here- sautéed shiitake mushrooms are the way to go for pizza!!!! Ending the meal with a cappuccino was the perfect end to the perfect dinner. Run don't walk to this place. Service was terrible. My husband got his meal at least 20 minutes before me. No one ever came to check after his food came. Pizza was the worst I've ever had. Soggy, unfinished crust, some kind of disgusting mushrooms I couldn't even eat it, and I love pizza. And very expensive-- could have had a very nice fine dining experience for less. Food is very good but overpriced. I mean personal pizza costing upwards of $30 is a bit much. Both pizza and salad were very good. Inside seating resembles something like Chipotle style seating. Servers were attentive but I did have to flag one down on a not very busy Friday afternoon in order to place our order after waiting around 15 minutes. We've been wanting to try Botta since they opened, but they've always been slammed. I now know why! We went one evening and were seating immediately. We assumed they were open to the public - but it turned out to be a private family NYE party. Much to our surprise, the owners graciously asked us to join them at a table!
