I've been a lifelong devotee of massage and have been to countless massage therapy clinics, spas, etc. over many years. Since 2009, I've been coming to BIH, and they've provided skilled, effective services through pregnancy and after injuries. Over the years, I've seen many of the staff and can honestly say I've never been disappointed. I was surprised to read a couple of the low-star reviews, considering I've never had a single negative experience with their front desk or billing office. They have excellent communication, and are friendly and professional. I've recommended this clinic to friends and colleagues, all of whom had positive experiences here, too. As a result of a rear-ending car accident, I saw Theresa at BIH and was very pleased with her expertise, professionalism and delicate touch. However, it is very challenging to get recurring appointments, especially during after usual work hours. While I'd love to see Theresa again, it looks to be weeks before I'd be able to do that again, unfortunately. read more

I was sent to BJ by my Occupational Therapist for massage therapy for severe thoracic outlet syndrome on my right side. The pain was incapacitating. BJ has been right there to provide massage and therapy through arm and shoulder surgery and lateral whiplash after a car accident. He has also been there to help me heal through back surgery and worked with me as I've had to learn how to stand sit and walk differently. I've learned about muscles, fascia and how to soften my muscles from within and breathe to allow deeper and more effective therapy. His office staff is always polite and professional even through some insurance billing issues after a car accident. I have also had wonderful therapy from Jennifer when BJ was on vacation. I'm very thankful for my experience at BIH. I came initially with a shoulder injury. I found all the therapists helping me were well-trained with massage and muscular/skeletal anatomy. They used their understanding and experience strategically, in a direct and gentle manner, so my shoulder could heal. My shoulder is now better than before the injury. I appreciate how the therapists have helped me understand that there is a physiology of comfort associated with deep, diaphragmatic breathing which helps me release stored stress. The therapist search for tight muscles and tissue where stress is being held. They gently hold their position and ask that I "breathe" until they feel the stress being released. This was confusing at first, I didn't know what that meant. But now I realize that deep breathing creates a physiology of being comforted and I use my mind to direct where I want the comfort to be directed. Most of time I can't feel the change myself, but the therapists tell me when they notice the change. It's an amazing process. I appreciate it because I believe it is cleansing and renewing me internally from the toxic, damaging, and corrosive effects of stress in my tissues. The overall effect is I feel much more open, relaxed, and free within myself. I look forward to seeing many of the therapists during this upcoming year. Each of them find different areas of stress within my body. Each has different approaches and techniques as they work with the same area of stress. I find that the collective experience of working with several of them is much more beneficial than just seeing one Thank you, BJ and Patty, for assembling such a wonderful team. Bothell Integrated Health has been a life saver! The massages I've been getting have greatly diminished my lower back pain to the point where I've been able to return to my normal routine, including going to strenuous weightlifting and Spinning classes at my gym! They are passionate about healing and teaching. They know how to work all the kinks and knots out - even finding areas I wasn't aware of that were contributing to the pain I was feeling. They've taught me preventative measures so I'm much less likely to injure myself - such as how to properly bend my legs when picking things up. After my last massage, I felt incredible range of motion and went straight home and cleaned my three bathrooms without any pain or fatigue. I hurt my neck in a sporting event 3 months ago. It was diagnosed as a "whiplash" injury. I am a health nut and love massage in general. I was in an automobile accident and found out about the joys of whiplash. Real problem, real pain. The spa massages I usually enjoy weren't cutting it so my doc recommended this place to me. First of all it is a clinic not a spa. The folks that work here know ALOT about the human body and injury. A very different and exceptional experience. I don't want to overhype them, but they healed my pain and I can not believe how much better I feel. Pain-free for 3 months and counting. The office staff is friendly, too, even when they are really busy. It is a busy little clinic healing lots of people. I felt appreciated all the way around. I went back to Bothell Integrated Health for massage due to injury and pain. Again, they were wonderful, from the therapist BJ Erkan, to the front office staff. My medical needs are complex and yet he was able to assess and treat me great. The front office people were again so friendly, treating me like family. This is THE place to go for massage. read more

If I could give zero stars I would... I've been going to this place for over 12 years for 3 different accidents overs the years. The massage therapist are excellent but the office staff with accounting are awful. Somehow, my lawyer had miss some of the treatments when they settled with the insurance company and I thought all bills were paid. Come to find out I got a bill and called to inquire why and this was back in Dec. Finally got into the lawyer's office to find out what happened and clarify everything was legit with regards to their bills being missed. Lawyers don't work very fast and everything was verify and now it's mid February. So I called in to pay the missed payments and they had sent it to Collections! They didn't once call me on the phone and I had recently moved so of course did not receive any mailings. Instead of saying sorry about that, they doubled down like I was trying to stiff them when I'm calling in to make the payment. Seems like all they care about is money... Didn't even care I had been going there for over 12 years and I didn't have any troubles in the past about paying. Really sad now that I have to find another place to take care of my wellness too. Based on the star names I am choosing to give a 3 star as "A-OK" as opposed to the 4 star titled "Yay, Im a fan" as I was not the one who actually went in for services, my husband did. I wanted to update my previous review. After submitting that review I was contacted by BJ at Bothell Integrated Health who had read my review and wanted to make things right. He had done his homework to find out what had happened. He gave me a sincere apology and offered to make it right. He also assured me that he would make sure that the staff was informed of what happened and that the company would make necessary changes to make sure that future customer would not have the same experience. He sounds very passionate about his profession and desire to help people. He even went above and beyond to talk with me about a muscle pain i was experiencing and took the extra time to give me a list of staff members that he felt would best suit for my specific need. I really appreciate his willingness to make it right and go above and beyond. I wish more companies took customer satisfaction (when the customer has an genuine complaint) as serious as BJ did. I went here twice for treatment of a foot injury prescribed by my podiatrist. Gwen seemed a little tired and not into massage - very light. Mike was wonderful but was out sick two weeks in a row. The first time the office called and left a message in the morning of the appointment. Sorry, I work and didn't get the voicemail. Second time they called my sister to cancel an appoint she had with him for that same day. They never called ME to cancel. I phoned the office after receiving a bill that they sent to my sister. Patty in the office is a horrible, overbearing and argumentative shrew that kept talking over me. I was so hot I called her the "B" word - I have no intention of ever going here again and do not recommend it. My sister and I have moved to Mill Creek Massage - much better place, more professional and also Regence contracted providers.
