Paid for LAX in airport pickup specifically to get driver assistance with baggage, Driver alleged no parking was available and could not come in terminal. Fifteen minute trip cost $460 - equivalent Uber quote for SUV while I waited for Boston coach was $58 and promised faster pickup. On top of it the bill comes and has a parking charge. This is the FIRST negative review I have ever written. If there wes an option for zero stars that wouldn't been my choice, that's how mind blowing their customer service treatment was. I use car services multiple times a week, professionally and personally, happy to pay the premium for the "luxury ". There are two main issues. First - I believed I was booking a ride to the airport (which I used Boston Coach for a month prior and cost me $200, same exact ride I kid you not) instead this time, they charged me for a 3 hour minimum, without communicating this to me. So instead I was charged over $400 for an hour ride that was half that price a month before, completely unethical. Second - when I called to ask about my bill, my customer service representative was so rude, contentious and condescending. I am in utter disbelief as I write this. And to top all of it off they charged me a Covid fee!!!!!! What a horrible experience, I have never had a worse experience as a CUSTOMER.... I have used Boston Coach over the years, I do not mind paying for a premium service - I do mind being surprised by hidden fees. 1. The fee was quoted as $128 inbound and $131 for the return plus 20% gratuity and tolls 2. When I received the email from them the charges were over 187 and 190. 3. $60.00 in fees was a great deal more than I expected and what I discussed with the booking agent 4. I called them and they ignored me 5. I emailed them and they ignored me 6. I paid with AMEX and filed a Credit Card dispute 7. Boston Coach sent AMEX a detailed invoice. 8. There was a Fuel SURCHARGE of $13 on each invoice REALLY GUYS???, gas costs less than bottled water. 9. There was a toll charge of $9.70 on the inbound trip, we did not use the toll road. Will use UBER next time, sorry Boston Coach, I will not use your services again....your financial practices are too murky. read more

BEWARE OF DISHONEST UPFRONT PRICING QUOTES. Very dishonest about upfront pricing. I was quoted ~$100 for a trip to the airport from my home and was told that this pricing was not final. This was totally understandable as I assumed there would be some tolls/other mileage charges that may vary. About a week later I noticed I was charged $220 after all the fees were included, almost all of which were completely predictable. There is no reason, other than pure greed and predatory dishonesty, that these fees were not included in the upfront pricing. Examples include a $40 holiday charge for riding on Christmas (again...understandable, but outrageous this wasn't included in the upfront pricing) and numerous lines of general service charges that were all round numbers, and clearly calculated before. If you are planning on using this service, please ignore the price you are quoted and assume you will pay significantly more. read more

I used BC a few months ago for my family from Logan airport to Andover, MA because my employee apparently recommended them. When I made a reservation online they gave me an estimate about $100. The taxi arrived there on time and helped us with several pieces of heavy luggages. They even had a toddler seat for my son. The driver was friendly and helpful. However, they charged me more than $200 at the end and it did not explain why. read more

Our Company signed a contract with Dav El Boston Coach. Within 60 days they increased administrative fees by 25%, Operating Surcharge by 15-20% and markets by 15%. So a flat rate say Chicago-land to O'Hare was quoted at $115 is really $150. They then say we get a discount on the fare, but not get the discount on the total, just the base. Also they are charging the passengers $5 for every trip even if not an airport trip. So really, they are fraudulently overcharging customers. Oh, and don't be a 1 min late cause that will cost you an extra $8.50. Not a service that I would ever recommend. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

Fuel Surcharge Ripoff! I recently used Boston Coach for a ride to the airport in an SUV. When I booked the reservation, the "estimated total cost" was provided to me, with a disclaimer that additional fees may apply, including a fuel surcharge. The amount of this fuel surcharge was not disclosed (even though Boston Coach on the phone says that it is disclosed as 13% - not true - and that it might be adjusted if fuel prices are at a certain level for a number of months...). On their site FAQs, they describe the surcharge in the following way: "The fuel surcharge, which is applied to the base fare as well as to any stops or waiting time, is based on the average cost of fuel at the time of the ride. It will therefore increase or decrease with fuel price levels." The price of gas is at years-long lows (just aver $2 per gallon and less than that in a number of places. The fuel surcharge on my bill was $46. So let me run some numbers. Let conservatively assume that gas is $3 a gallon. That means $46 will buy over 15 gallons of fuel. A Cadillac Escalade (the vehicle used), at a conservative 15 miles per gallon, will be able to go 225 miles on this amount of gas. I live 60 miles from the airport. Even if you assume that the Boston Coach garage of 40 miles from the airport, the round trip could not possibly exceed 200 miles. So, I paid for all of the fuel and then some. That's not a surcharge, its an extra fee that not justifiable in any other way than trying to get more profit out of a customer. I spoke with a billing agent at Boston Coach and someone in customer service, but they are unyielding an unapologetic. Chances are you'll get good service, just be aware that you will also get an extra 13% charge on your bill. Since they serve mostly corporate clients, this fee seems to go unnoticed or at least unchallenged (except by the law firm of Pelton & Associates, PC, who have a web page soliciting clients who believe they "have been charged an excessive or unfair fee surcharge" by Boston Coach). While the actual service I received was 5-star, there is no way that I could justify that kind of review rating. Boston Coach, let's consider the extra four stars my "surcharge"! read more

Staff is super incompetent on booking a reservation. They originally told me that they had a bus available to fit my party. A few hours later they told me that they made a mistake and that they didn't have the bus. They wanted to charge me extra for their mistake. I had to finally work with a manager to settle it all. They even booked my pickup and dropoff wrong. I then called to obtain a receipt. The guy on the phone was burping on the phone and yawning. Just so unprofessional. He couldn't even locate the reservation and was not helpful in trying to help me find the reservation. Really disappointed. read more

My history with this shuttle/limo company goes back to when they were Harrison Global and even before then when I used one of the several taxi companies that were swallowed up in their acquisition binge. When they were smaller they were very rough around the edges, with rude dispatchers and a wide range of driver personalities. Over the years, they've matured, their fleet of cars became more polished, the dispatchers became more professional, and for both corporate rides and personal rides to and from the airport they were largely a pleasure to use. With the Boston Coach acquisition, they've inexplicably managed to get much more expensive and less professional. I get that in the age of Uber/Lyft a company might want to differentiate themselves, but going after the suburban/corporate market with worse service and higher prices is peculiar. Despite being a customer for nearly 20 years, Boston Coach managed to bill me for rides that never took place, jack up prices for airport rides for me and for other family groups to $150 to $250, and threaten to have their drivers leave the airport for not being contacted immediately after the scheduled arrival of an international flight (news flash to Boston Coach: check to see if the flight is delayed, and you should know it always takes international passengers longer to get through immigration/customs and retrieve their bags). Dispatchers have also lectured my wife when their driver went to the wrong terminal (and colleagues of mine have similar stories) of being treated rudely by dispatchers along the lines of "do you have any idea how to find the limo area in the airport?". In the past, I wanted to give these guys the benefit of the doubt because their drivers still remain courteous and the vehicles are nice. But the overall customer service experience has gone so far downhill and the price/value tradeoffs are way out of line. I wrote an email once in response to a particularly bad international flight pickup and....crickets. If you can expense their service for a corporate trip, then Boston Coach may be passable (though I would think twice if an important client or executive is traveling with you) . Otherwise, don't bother. Actually, even if someone else is paying the bill, look hard at alternatives. read more

This company was purchased by Harrison Global in the past few months. I used Harrison for over 5 years and never had significant price increase. One way from Newton Center to Logan airport was consistently $63.00 plus airport fees, tolls and gas which came to about $75-78. When I called today (2/11/2014) the price for one way was increased to $110!! (And I do not know if airport fees were included). Regardless, it is about a 90% increase in charges - maybe mostly due to the merger and new price structure. They suggested I use their taxi service instead. Needless to say, I will not be using their services anymore. UPDATE 2/12/2014: Boston Coach just called and updated my account to honor my longstanding rate. They said the rate in the computer was incorrect. I don't know if it was a clerical error or just the "squeaky wheel" that made the difference but they did the honorable thing, which I consider good business. I will now be using them again, as they are always on time and the drivers are always amicable. read more

BC picked us up from Logan as storm Neptune was coming into to town. We were one of the last flights in and we sooooo glad to be met by them as the roads were already pretty bad. The trek to Arlington was not easy and our driver was AWESOME. I drive in the snow and don't mind bad conditions but for this trip opted for cabs only to find that many of them were not running. * AWFUL SERVICE * Hotel to the wedding- wedding to reception- reception to the hotel- all EPIC FAILS * Driver disappeared for 45 min on a 2 mile destination(no highway required) * Left the grooms 80 year old grandparents in the cold rain after church * Left the grooms 90 year old grandmother at the reception instead of taking her back to the hotel * The entire bus load of guests from the hotel - church was LATE for the wedding (1 trip) * The groom was on the phone with Boston Coach 2 times on his wedding day looking for the DRIVER From past experience, Boston Coach was my go to for anything because of the excellent customer service and drivers. This was by far the WORST experience dealing with a vendor I have ever had. Knowing there were major service issues and after several phone calls with Customer Service, they had the audacity to CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD the FULL AMOUNT. Absolutely pathetic. UBER is better than Boston Coach as far as the drivers AND Customer Service. Shame on this company. DO NOT USE them especially for coach services. read more

Really disappointed in Boston Coach. I used them for my wedding this past summer. Communicating with them was difficult to say the least, getting Samantha on the phone was nearly impossible and we had to communicate almost solely via email. We decided to take matters into our own hands and w laid her out a VERY detailed itinerary for the day (to be more specific, we sent her an excel spreadsheet). One of our main concerns is that my grandmother is dying from colon cancer, so we rented a limo for her on standby so that she could leave the wedding whenever she was feeling ill. Well, grandmother was very ill shortly into the reception and Boston Coach had already left the venue. When my father pressed them as to why, the driver stated he was never told that the limo would be on standby and he had another job to get to. My dad took the time to call Boston Coach, in the middle of my wedding reception mind you, and they said they were sending another car ASAP. We waited 30 minutes before getting a call back from them saying that the new limo had "broken down" on the way over and would not be able to make it to pick up my sick grandmother. Instead she had to wait the entire length of the reception to get picked up, my family felt terrible. As the bride, an apology from Samantha would have been nice, but I actually never heard from her and had to hear this story from my father. I reached out to her 2 months after the wedding- we were told we were getting a "gift" which we never received. Samantha responded to my inquiry as to why she never sent the gift, she said she never sent the gift because she didn't know our address. Are you kidding me? Talk about horrible customer service. There are much better companies in the Boston area, save yourself the disappointment. read more

One way from Logan to southern NH (50 minute drive) was expensive enough -- then the receipt I got via email adds on an "administrative fee" of $8 and a "fuel surcharge" (surcharge???) of $30 -- plus the driver wasn't there when we arrived, I got put on hold when I called to find out where he was and no one ever came back (the driver finally arrived), and three times when I called to talk to someone, I listened to music and "we're busy" messages until I finally hung up. $275 for a trip that is a tenth of that on the bus -- and bad service and ridiculous billing add-ons? Plus the website says they have a no tipping policy and the driver said that wasn't true and the website is "outdated". Use them again? I don't think so. read more

Watch your billing - they charged me for a stop that never happened. They did adjust my bill after two calls with very nasty customer service reps. Almost made me feel like how dare I question their billing.....Prices are very high. On the positive side, very nice vehicles and they arrived when they said they would. I used them for a recent trip to LA since I wasn't familir with local car services. Not again - I'll take a little bit more time to do research. And to think they're owned by Fidelity! read more

Reserved a stretch limo for my daughter's wedding this past weekend. The reservation was made months ago and confirmed 3 days before the ceremony. I was shocked when the bride pulled up to the church visibly upset in a small sedan and her 2 photographers hopped out of a cab right behind her. After the ceremony, a second sedan was outside to supposedly help with transportation. Fortunately we had hired a motor coach from another company to take the entire bridal party and photographers offsite for pictures. The company admitted that when they changed software programs this summer, my reservation was not entered in correctly. They told me I would not be charged for the second sedan. Seriously you mess up my reservation, leave me dealing with an upset bride and all you can do is tell me I won't be charged for something I didn't order. Will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

While at Logan Airport, I was rudely hung up on and had a reservation. It took 3 calls to get the person back on the line and they charged me for the ride plus another $116.45 for some preauthorized charge which should have come off my card and was still there. This company is overcharging people and I work for a company that uses them all the time and no discount for this. Uber and taxis are looking better and better all the time. I have no use for Boston Coach/Harrisons. read more

I am posting this review about Boston Coach Limousine service of Everett Massachusetts. On March 4, 2015, I called them for a ride from Logan airport to my home on Cape Cod. I asked the person who took my call what would be the cost for this ride. After giving her my address, her response was that it would be approximately $140. I gave her my credit card, booked the ride, was picked up and driven to my house. On March 7, 2015, I received a copy of the invoice and to my shock and disbelief it was for $316.49. This ride took 1hr. and 32 min. The invoice included an administrative fee of $8.00 and a fuel surcharge fee of $35.49. Needless to say I was livid. I called the company to complain and was told to speak to client relations. Client relations said they would look into the matter but it would take a couple of weeks. For 7.5 weeks I called numerous times and was given different excuses as to why it was not resolved. Finally they told me they had listened to the recording that was made when the trip was booked and agreed that I was told the trip would cost approximately $140 and they were in error. Even after acknowledging the error they would only reduce the amount by $44.07 which came from changing the drive time to 1hr. and 30 min. My final charge came to $272.42 Not only was this an outrageous charge, but they quoted me an estimate and then proceeded to charge me twice the amount. Their customer service is terrible taking over 7 weeks to finally get an answer. They misled me with the erroneous quote and then wouldn't honor the original agreement. This company should be avoided at all costs. There are less costly alternatives and better companies who care about their customers. It is amazing how a company will do this to a customer over such a small amount of money. They obviously do not care how they treat people. read more

Sent Limo on wrong night and therefore when I landed I had to call to get a car to pick me up. Person answered the phone said they would do an incident report and I'd receive a call back in a few days. No one ever called back. Then I got charged twice (for the original car and the one the next night). Called to complain and they wouldn't issue a refund. To make matters worse they subcontracted the second pick up out to another local company who charges less than what they (less than what Boston Coach charges) and they still charged me what they would charge which was $195!!! Long story short; one car ride cost me $400. Not to mention when I was dropped off at the airport on the ride in, the driver didn't even get out of the car - he opened the trunk, I got my own bag out of the trunk and off I went.
