We decided to visit this location of Boston Pizza for a late lunch. First impressions: great location in the mall with lots of parking and a spacious patio. Despite the warmer weather, we opted to sit inside and take advantage of the air conditioning. I didn't feel like pizza for lunch (shocking, I know), so I settled on the Grilled Chicken Clubhouse and the fiancé convinced me to try the Rose Sangria Smash. I'm not sure if the establishment was short-staffed (I only saw one waitress plus a few more individuals solely responsible for bringing out the food) or if we can during the slow period; table service seemed inexplicably long. The waitress did apologize at least once and assured us our order was on the way. The Rose Sangria was a hit. I don't normally go for blackberries, but it gave the drink a refreshing summery finish. Chicken Clubhouse was solid. No oozing out of secret sauce, tasty chicken & veggies combo, though there was less cheese and garlic taste in the baguette than I would have thought (I'm sure my fiancé would have thanked the restaurant for going easy on the garlic in the bread). There are not too many choices for a late night meal if you are in the Surrey area, therefore, this place is usually my go to option. The service is always good here, the ladies know what they are doing. As for the food, sometimes they are a hit and miss. Anyways, here were the food we ordered during our last visit; 1. Oven baked wings with Memphis hot sauce. I think I tried hundreds of places for wings and at the end of the day, I think BP's oven baked wings are still one of the best. Decent size, fresh and juicy! 2. French onion soup. I am a soup guy so I love all soups, this one is okay. 3.nachos with seasoned ground beef. Everything fresh so that's good! I don't order this one much but turned out better then I thought. 4. Peach lemonade quencher. A little weak, not much flavour to this drink. 5. New York steak with mashed potatos and coleslaw. The steak was fresh and juicy but the coleslaw wasn't so good. 6. New York steak with spaghetti and extra bolognese sauce. Steak was good, spaghetti was okay, nothing to complain about. Overall, the good this time around was pretty decent and the service was very friendly and attentive. I think I like this location better out of the 5 locations in Surrey. We a party of 6, went to celebrate my daughter's 20th birthday. Food was great but the worst service. Wasn't very busy for a Monday evening, from the time we first sat down, we didn't get asked for drinks or water til 15-20 min.. then when we got our water and we asked if we can order our drinks and appies and food, then no plates or cutlery. I had to politely ask for everything .. plates, cutlery, more water .. service .. as they just walked bypassing our table. Update: responded to Joanne's comment but have heard nothing from them! Sigh, another disappointing experience at this location of Boston Pizza. We came at 11:17 on a Friday for a bite and a drink. They don't serve alcohol till 12 (bylaws) but we ordered drinks and food anyways (plant based pizza on cauliflower crust - which I confirmed was vegan as well as their cauliflower crust - a regular pizza, and a half spaghetti and meatballs with tomato sauce). NOTE: We were the only people there at the time besides another table and a single guy that came around 12:15. We didn't receive our drinks till 12:10 (after asking the waitress, Nikki, again for them). Our meals came around 12:15. My "plant based meal" came with cheese. This pizza took over an hour to remake (being told the vegan cheese was frozen). My friends' pasta came with meat sauce (she was too hungry to send back). She also ordered a twisted tea (on tap) which the waitress said she needed to check on. She served the drink anyways and it was off! The waitress needed to be asked several times for things and didn't seem to be bothered that we were getting frustrated. We received our bills in full, paid, and left. Worst location - decor is outdated, staff are rude & non attentive, and the food is sub par at best, also they don't go with standard Boston Pizza policies/standards. The entire establishment feels very grimy and gross feeling, nothings really clean or maintained, atmosphere of location is very uninviting / makes you want to wash your hands constantly. I went on my birthday, it was just me and my partner, we got appetizers, drinks and were wanting to just get me my free birthday dessert at end of food/drinks. It was NOT a busy day, not a lot of people, it was around just a slow evening in the dining area and just a few small groups in the bar/lounge area. We were constantly being overlooked by employees, our server was very dismissive, rolled his eyes a bunch, seemed so bothered that we were there, kept sighing at our requests (which was just our order lol) and whenever we tried to order he would seem irritated entire time. Like i justify having a bad day, but its the day of my birthday, i just came to have a small nice evening and I was more than nice but was completely shit from the atmosphere and the server behaviour. When i asked if i got a complimentary birthday dessert as it was day of and if i could have it he said to me at the table " ugh, right now?" And as i said yes, he brough the most depressing looking sundae that was freezer burn icecream in a bowl, with m&ms and some chocolate sauce on top. This place definetly needs some updating when it comes to both restaurant decor and menu items. I don't like to eat here because all of their entrees (besides the pizzas) are frozen. I've also heard some horrific stories of food quality so I refuse to have a meal here. However, I did have the pan cookie and it was delicious. If you're craving a warm cookie with ice cream, come here! Very dissapointed that we ordered 2 and they were only able to give us one??? It continued to be our date night place of choice for many years we even befriended servers and managers so we contemplated having our wedding reception here but went a different route. That should tell anyone that we were BP enthusiasts. However things changed at this location and the personnel changed as did the quality of the food and service! During Covid we supported BP with takeout but as the quality proceeded to get worse and worse we didn't go as frequently we kept saying this is the last time but we always gave it one more chance. Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I've ever had! Group of 12 treated like shit! Waiter didn't care and after profuse complaints to the manager, not even an offer of a discount. And even though we had a reservation, they didn't have a table ready for us so we accepted an area in the bar. I come here around twice a month after Paintball to have some brews and good eats with my friends. I enjoy Boston Pizza, and go to many all over the place, but this one is always hit and miss. I order the same thing every time - Bandera Pizza Bread, and Chipotle Wings, with a beer. Can't go wrong. Right? The Bandera pizza bread is sometimes cold, or hard. Other places it's always nice and soft and delicious. The service is also hit and miss, sometimes our glasses stay full, othertimes they are empty until we wave a server down to refill it. Not really a problem, but service is service! Anyone who hasn't tried Boston Pizza really should. Though the prices are increasing (where is it not increasing, though?) the food is always consistent. Service is bad and slow no matter if the place is busy or not. The food is not as good as other locations either. We tried take out once and it was bad as well. Went to Boston Pizza for lunch today. There was six of us and after waiting 20 minutes the waitress forgot our drink order and still had not taken our food order. Although she said 'sorry' you could tell she really didn't care. We walked out. Better to leave than spend money on a meal and be angry about it. This location has always been amazing to me. And has seen all my ups and downs. The staff here are very friendly. However they should have someone seated at the front desk so that they don't keep customers waiting too long. And they always check up on you when your at your seat so that your glass is never empty. There's a good amount of seating so the wait isn't usually long when you go during their peak hours. The food here is amazing (fully cooked) and the flavours are on point. Last time ever. Tonight they ran out of some of the key ingredients but instead of asking if we'd like something else, they just sent us a pizza without all the toppings. (All the $ was still on the bill though). When we called to tell them we noticed a mistake they told us they ran out of some toppings earlier in the evening. I went here for my sons birthday with 17 people. Waitress off the start complained she was tired cause she had already worked from 6 (it was 945pm). People ordered their drinks. She complained how many drinks she had to carry out. More then half the table ordered water. People ordered their food. Food started to arrive. I asked her if they could sing for my sons birthday, she said no I'm to tired to round up the other waitress. I'll give him a free ice cream. Food starts to arrive. Everyone got there food except the birthday boy. The appy's I ordered, she took from me and said," oh those belong to the other table." And took them away and gave the half eaten tray to my sister. She wouldn't accept it of course, I tried calling the waitress back saying I had also ordered appys for my son and I, She threw them out and got a fresh order for my sister. I said, " well where are my appy's?" And said and where is my sons food? Everyone is almost done eating and he hasn't gotten his food! The waitress said," Oh that's because I forgot to order it. I'll do it now." I went to speak to the manager and told him I was really upset what was going on with the service and the missing dinner. The manager said," well it's not my fault. I dont understand how this location managed to have a 2.0 rating. I wouldnt even give it 1 star if i had a choice. The worst Boston Pizza I have ever been to! Came here just to get a drink and an appy but the "service manager" informed us that the kitchen is already close after waiting 10 mins of waiting to get seated. Only boston pizza that I've been to that doesnt have any hostess/host that welcome guest per their arrival. Mind you, a waiter just looked at us and ignored us then proceeded to clean tables and talked to his other coworkers then left to go to the kitchen. Funny thing tho, as soon as I brought up our issue to the service manager that welcomed us, two other employees came to the front as we leave. Why werent there any employees at the front when we needed to get seated in the first place! when i went with my partner, (two in the afternoon) the hostess sat us, the waitress took our orders but never came with the drinks. I had to ask the hostess for our drinks. the hostess brought them. we were the only table in at 2pm so i wondered where our waitress was. she came back and took our order and then we never saw her again. the hostess ran out or food for us, we sat with empty glasses for over 30 mins. the waitress never checked up on us, never refileld anything did not even walk by. i flagged down the hostess and said i want to pay, and she said let me get your server, and i said no. id rather not deal with her. this is the only time i tipped zero percent. i never tip zero. honestly if she just checked up on us once I woulda left her at least 10% i ended up handing the hostess ten bucks because she did all the work. bless her. it was really upsetting too since I had been at this location many times and the waitress was familiar with me and my partner. its been a few months now, I hope they have since changed their attitude. its just really sad to be waiting for a 7up for 30 minutes while i stare at the waitress joking with the day manager and cooking staff and literally doing nothing. ive never received my food before a glass of 7up and a glass of water before. read more

The last few times we have been here service has been slow and mediocre overpriced food. Tonight was the last straw. We went at 530 on a Saturday night hoping to grab a quick pizza. Nobody in the place except for a baseball team of around 20 people. We live close to this location, so it is convenient even though the service is usually fairly poor. Tonight was the worse! Horrible service - was there for over 2 hrs for 5 peopl. No forks on the table, meal took over an hour and 2 were served, and then a 3rd with first the wrong pizza. They found the correct one 5 min later. Another 7-10 min, the other 2 were served,. We had to ask for refills, wait for boxes twice for leftovers, wait for dishes to clear which we piled first because it was so long. We had 2 people serving with a third to bring a few dishes. The excuse was it was Monday night (with a Canucks game & Monday night football over Christmas vacation ) and understaffed. They said the servers had to help in the kitchen because it was busy. Actually - we saw 5 tables with people! As compensation, they lessened the bill by 11%. When I questioned the service manager, she said they felt it was acceptable because we waited 30 min for food. I corrected her and said it was over an hour and she replied "our clocks must be wrong, I have been in the kitchen". For the price, this is the absolute last time for this location! I have eaten at Boston Pizza for decades. Wife likes the food, I can take it or leave it. The service at this restaurant is the worst of all of the ones I have eaten at. When we normally go there the food is generally cold and service is slow. If there is a large party there (15+) turn around and run. It will take at least 45 minutes to get your food. Also won't honour coupons properly (had free kids meal coupons). Last visit a couple of days ago made us swear to never visit this one again. We did something wrong (I suppose) and the waitresses gave us all looks like we should drop dead on the spot. Wife never says anything about this stuff but told the manager straight up we won't be back. A new manager who ended up waiting on us was good. He apologized all over the place, gave the kids an extra treat for messing up their order. He also said he was shocked by the waitress and that morale was extremely low in the place. This is reflected in the customers. Other BP's are usually quite busy with waits at peak times. This place is usually pretty empty. Should says the people who seat you are quite nice. Right from the moment we called to place our pizza delivery order, this place was a nightmare. The girl on the phone could not count pizzas and had to have the order repeated 5 times. She also had no idea what a green salad was!? We ordered at 6:38, mind you due to the lack of knowledge and capability of the girl on the phone, it did take 15 minutes to order. So let's say order went in at 7pm, at 8:02 we called to ask if we could add on drinks if the order hadn't left, we were told it had. At 8:35 we called to see where it was, "it was on its way". Keep in mind the hotel we were at was 5 min from the restaurant. At 8:50 I called and asked for the manager. He claimed to have loaded the car about 25 min ago. The delivery employees blamed our 3 different cards for their machine not working, but gave us our food. They restarted their systems and did another delivery and came back 20 minuets later. The only reason I'm giving even one star is because you can't give 0. I usually order take out from this restaurant and I would have to say that they've gotten my order right just as many times as they've gotten it wrong. They're constantly forgetting dips or adding meat to the food. They do not take any refunds so we usually end up with vouchers but if your always messing up our orders why would we want to order from you again? Last night was the last straw, I ordered a Perogy pizza with no bacon, Santa Fe ranch and cactus cuts for my brother. When he brought the food home my pizza had bacon on it, I tried to call them but no one would pick up, being out 15 bucks with a pizza I couldn't eat we drove back to the restaurant. Once there they told me that they wouldn't be able to make me another pizza and gave me a voucher. I told the manager that this wasn't the first time that this had happened and offered the tip of double checking the food before it left the place. She was not pleased but agreed.
