Andrea immediately returned my call, provided a thorough phone consult to gather information about my baby and me. She set up an appointment for an in home consultation within 72 hours. Andrea came to the house, met with me for three hours and completed a very thorough assessment. Andrea answered all my questions, was incredibly patient, kind, and supportive. She had really helpful suggestions on nursing positions, pumping strategies and recommendations. Andrea weighed the baby after nursing and evaluated my pumping amounts. I never realized how much science/math goes into the process. Andrea wrote a full report which she shared with my Pediatrician and OBGYN. Andrea helped resolve my baby's weight loss and has been a constant support in my breastfeeding journey! She continues to be an amazing resource and support postpartum, providing education/resources around nursing and pumping. I am so thankful for the referral to Andrea! I would strongly recommend Andrea whether it be you first baby or third!

Andrea did two home visit for me and my son - first to help with a nursing strike and bottle preference - and second, what I thought was another strike, actually turned out to be reflux! Andrea gave me a new bottle system, SNS and other tools to use as a part of the care plan she created and walked me through to help work through the nursing strike - and with the reflux, she helped me understand the cues my son was giving me that he wasn't feeling good about eating, and referred me to my physician. With both visits she sent the care plans to my OB and my son's Pedi. Truly above and beyond with her in home service and follow-ups via email/phone. I couldn't recommend more highly if you are considering having an LC come into your home!

Jennifer communicated very well with us before the appointment and during it. She has a background in education, so she explains things in a fantastic way that made me and my husband comfortable. She taught me how to latch, how to check for hunger cues and other things. She is patient, knows a lot and very organized. I am SO HAPPY with her. At the hospital I saw couple IBCLC (lactation consultant) and they were not as helpful as Jennifer - not even close. If you need her service, please do. Reasons I gave her five stars: - she fixed our son's feeding problems right away, during the home visit. - she validated every problem/concern we had, and provided concrete executable solution. Never vague. Never hand-wavy. Never dismissing any issue. - she provided help not only for feeding, but also in exercising and sleeping. - she wrote up detailed reports after the visit. Details for my two experiences: - The first time was when my son was 11 days old. He wouldn't latch during breastfeeding, and Jen taught me how to properly latch, and how to observe his suckle & swallow ratio. She also helped me with selecting pumping flanges. - The second time I called her was a different issue. Little one likes to be breastfed but just wouldn't take a bottle. Only 0.5 to 2 oz per feed. We tried everything we can for a month but in vain. Like last time, Jennifer came to our house, and viola, my son took a full 4oz under her guidance! That's never happened before! Now that he is eating enough, he's also sleeping longer and I'm also getting enough sleep.

Informative, empowering, respectful, approachable, individual, caring, encouraging. But, at this point I've had my baby. I had a natural (no epi, no pitosin, etc..) birth at a major hospital. It was an amazing experience (seriously) and I owe that in large part to Zina's teaching and guidance. This is how Zina's classes helped: 1. My husband and I had learned what was happening at different stages of the birth process, and could make informed decisions once we got to the hospital, we didn't feel like we were being told what to do and instead were an active part of the decision-making process. 2. I felt confident and excited, instead of apprehensive and scared (if left to my own devices, I'd just feel scared). This made such a difference. 3. Probably the biggest difference was that when the time came, my husband and I were a team. It's natural for a partner to want to help, but oftentimes it's hard to know how, especially with how birth is portrayed in movies. Zina's class gave us a 'toolkit,' and having those options and ideas at the ready for when you don't really have time to think was key.

These 5 classes just flew by and I did not expect to learn this much. I feel prepared and empowered to help my baby come to this world. And this is not just me, my husband absolutely loved this class and feels like he can really help and that we can do this as a team- all three of us I highly recommend this class, Zina is a great teacher and overall an amazing person. I feel so lucky to have found this class and if I have any issues with breastfeeding I'll know who to call!

But even better than being a great massage therapist, Bonnie is incredibly knowledgeable about all things birth and pregnancy, which made her an amazing doula. I had the opportunity to work with Bonnie and her partner Karen for my second birth (they were not available for my first birth and I didn't have a doula then, and I ended up with an unplanned C-section) and I can't recommend them enough. I attempted a VBAC for my second birth, and it was an intense experience, but having Bonnie and Karen by my side made all the difference and perhaps the reason for my eventual success after being very close to having another failure to progress. They are very responsive, with you throughout the process, come visit your home to give lessons prior to your birth which also helps with preparing your home for the experience, come to your home again when you're in active labor but do not want to go to the hospital too early. They provided encouragement, guidance, and they're especially knowledgeable about the different birthing positions throughout the entire process. I don't think all doulas are capable of providing such critical support. It was an entirely different experience from my first birth when there were so many wasted opportunities to do something to help with progress. If you're considering hiring a doula for your birth, I highly recommend Bonnie and Karen - they are simply amazing!

Bonnie supported us through my pregnancy- answering questions, giving resources, and recommending tools and processes for a smooth birth experience. She came to our home for a Spinning Babies session which was so helpful to learn in our environment where we planned to do early labor. We had an online class with Karen, and she helped us prepare for life with an infant. This started conversations for us beyond birth, and it was wonderful to connect with Karen prior to our birth. We ended up working with Bonnie and Karen during labor, and they are a great team. We felt supported and cared for throughout.
