Andrea immediately returned my call, provided a thorough phone consult to gather information about my baby and me. She set up an appointment for an in home consultation within 72 hours. Andrea came to the house, met with me for three hours and completed a very thorough assessment. Andrea answered all my questions, was incredibly patient, kind, and supportive. She had really helpful suggestions on nursing positions, pumping strategies and recommendations. Andrea weighed the baby after nursing and evaluated my pumping amounts. I never realized how much science/math goes into the process. Andrea wrote a full report which she shared with my Pediatrician and OBGYN. Andrea helped resolve my baby's weight loss and has been a constant support in my breastfeeding journey! She continues to be an amazing resource and support postpartum, providing education/resources around nursing and pumping. I am so thankful for the referral to Andrea! I would strongly recommend Andrea whether it be you first baby or third!

Andrea did two home visit for me and my son - first to help with a nursing strike and bottle preference - and second, what I thought was another strike, actually turned out to be reflux! Andrea gave me a new bottle system, SNS and other tools to use as a part of the care plan she created and walked me through to help work through the nursing strike - and with the reflux, she helped me understand the cues my son was giving me that he wasn't feeling good about eating, and referred me to my physician. With both visits she sent the care plans to my OB and my son's Pedi. Truly above and beyond with her in home service and follow-ups via email/phone. I couldn't recommend more highly if you are considering having an LC come into your home!

Jennifer communicated very well with us before the appointment and during it. She has a background in education, so she explains things in a fantastic way that made me and my husband comfortable. At the hospital I saw couple IBCLC (lactation consultant) and they were not as helpful as Jennifer - not even close. If you need her service, please do. Reasons I gave her five stars: - she fixed our son's feeding problems right away, during the home visit. - she validated every problem/concern we had, and provided concrete executable solution. Never vague. Never hand-wavy. Never dismissing any issue. - she provided help not only for feeding, but also in exercising and sleeping. - she wrote up detailed reports after the visit. Details for my two experiences: - The first time was when my son was 11 days old. He wouldn't latch during breastfeeding, and Jen taught me how to properly latch, and how to observe his suckle & swallow ratio. She also helped me with selecting pumping flanges. - The second time I called her was a different issue. Little one likes to be breastfed but just wouldn't take a bottle. Only 0.5 to 2 oz per feed. We tried everything we can for a month but in vain. Like last time, Jennifer came to our house, and viola, my son took a full 4oz under her guidance! That's never happened before! Now that he is eating enough, he's also sleeping longer and I'm also getting enough sleep.

Informative, empowering, respectful, approachable, individual, caring, encouraging. But, at this point I've had my baby. I had a natural (no epi, no pitosin, etc..) birth at a major hospital. It was an amazing experience (seriously) and I owe that in large part to Zina's teaching and guidance. This is how Zina's classes helped: 1. My husband and I had learned what was happening at different stages of the birth process, and could make informed decisions once we got to the hospital, we didn't feel like we were being told what to do and instead were an active part of the decision-making process. 2. I felt confident and excited, instead of apprehensive and scared (if left to my own devices, I'd just feel scared). This made such a difference. 3. Probably the biggest difference was that when the time came, my husband and I were a team. It's natural for a partner to want to help, but oftentimes it's hard to know how, especially with how birth is portrayed in movies. Zina's class gave us a 'toolkit,' and having those options and ideas at the ready for when you don't really have time to think was key.

These 5 classes just flew by and I did not expect to learn this much. I feel prepared and empowered to help my baby come to this world. And this is not just me, my husband absolutely loved this class and feels like he can really help and that we can do this as a team- all three of us I highly recommend this class, Zina is a great teacher and overall an amazing person. I feel so lucky to have found this class and if I have any issues with breastfeeding I'll know who to call!

From the beginning, she validated those fears while also giving me the confidence and encouragement I needed to believe it was possible. My labor ended up being long and emotional -- nearly two full days -- and she stayed by my side the entire time. Her knowledge of labor positioning was incredible. She was constantly helping me find positions that encouraged progress while also paying attention to what felt best for my body. Nothing about her approach felt rigid or "textbook." She truly supported what felt right for me in the moment. She also helped me delay my epidural with techniques and coping methods I had never known about, which helped me go much longer than I thought I could. During the hardest moments, she remained calm, positive, and deeply supportive while also holding space for the emotional intensity that comes with a VBAC journey. Another thing that stood out was how well she worked with everyone in the room. She collaborated seamlessly with the hospital staff and guided my husband in ways that helped him stay involved and supportive, creating a true team environment during labor. After such a long and emotional experience, I'm incredibly grateful to say I had a successful VBAC2C, and I truly believe her support played a huge role in making that possible. If you're considering a VBAC, especially after multiple C-sections, having someone like her in your corner is invaluable.

My husband and I had been playing with the idea of hiring a doula, but as we got closer to my due date, we realized we would truly benefit from having that support. I reached out to Karen, and right away we began working with both her and Bonnie -- and I'm so glad we did! From the start, we had a group text and every question I had was answered quickly and thoughtfully. As my due date approached, I felt completely comfortable reaching out about my symptoms and getting guidance and reassurance. On the big day, Karen came to our home and helped me get comfortable and work through each contraction. When we arrived at the hospital, Bonnie was there to support me through the birth. She brought snacks and a colored lamp to help create a relaxing environment. I truly felt like she was there just for me. She worked beautifully with the nurses to ensure I was comfortable and made sure my voice was heard. Throughout the entire process, we felt understood, supported, and completely at ease. We are so grateful to have had them as part of our birth story. I truly can't thank them enough.
