Huge fan, we came in before the lunch crowd, and one of the managers saw that we had never been there before so they introduced themselves and kind of showed us the entire menu. It was a really nice experience. The restaurant is clean and inviting. We decided to each get a small soup. I got the clam chowder. My husband got the lobster bisque and we split a roast beef sandwich. It was delicious. The sandwich comes with chips and a pickle, and they brought it out to us to their little outside patio while we waited for it Overall, it was a really pleasant experience and good bang for the buck. I found Boston Chowda and the best chowders and soups by chance! The sandwiches are all great, especially their specials, and with a soup are the best tasting at any price or deal. My goto Reuben is piled with meat and the best cheese and sauerkraut and dressing, and I had to try their special chicken sandwiches on next visits. It's never cheaper to buy lobster, so $17 wasn't bad. The roll wasn't too creamy, it was definitely all about the meat. It seems like half of the roll was one big piece of claw. I left full and happy regardless. The staff was very friendly and it seemed to be like a popular lunch place! Would eat here again for sure. The flavor of the chowder was very good, lots of potatoes; but where were the clams? Seriously I think there was only a couple in there. The one that I did notice was soft and perfectly chewy. But that's the only one that was big enough to even notice. The bread was great, soft in the middle, crunchy on the crust. Except for the spillage over the sides that made it soggy. Walked in around 12:30 today and the line was out the door. I waited and it was moving very slow. However, the employees were working hard, hustling, and busting hump. The whole time they were pleasant and never got flustered. And it was busy. Great little place that I discovered on Yelp while visiting the area. My first impression was that this was a good decision for lunch. Boston Chowda has a great menu with lots to choose from the menu. I had the medium chowder which was thick and delicious, with a good balance of clams and finely diced potatoes. Very good. I also had the Lobster Roll and was pleased with the price for being inland and had a generous amount of lobster meat for this Midwesterner. I also observed that the restaurant was very clean. Fish and chips are so good, the portions were large. I go with my wife and get one order fish and chips and 1 Vermont corn chowder and she gets clam what there famous for.
