We love it when a restaurant exceeds your expectations and makes you want to stay in town longer than overnight, to enjoy another meal. This clean, super-friendly establishment did just that! The wonton soup was definitely the best I have ever had; five dumplings easily recognizable as homemade, packed with tasty pork morsels, swimming in a gorgeous clear broth, seasoned perfectly with green onions. When the soup was brought to the table, the aroma instantly confirmed something special was about to be experienced. DON'T leave this restaurant without ordering this item!!!! The spring rolls, egg rolls (homemade) kept reinforcing how wonderful the food is here. We ordered the Singapore Noodles which was generous in its portion size, full of flavour, shrimp, chicken and pork and just the right amount of spicy heat. Others dishes being delivered to tables surrounding us gave further evidence that the kitchen can't help but produce deliciousness in abundance. Fresh, fragrant and tantalizing! Even the Chinese tea was noteworthy! Sadly we are in town for one night. Future detours will be made along our travel route to enable us to sit down to another meal. There's an urban legend, or maybe a rural legend based on the size of Gananoque, that has Bobby Orr playing in a hockey tournament in Gananoque where the current curling club (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/gananoque-curling-club-gananoque) is. It is rumoured that a scout saw him, took him to the Boston Restaurant (ehh? ehh?) and after calling his folks from a payphone, he signed for the Bruins there. That's the rumour anyway. Probably good that it has something going for it. Of the Chinese restaurants in Gananoque, the Boston was the roughest of the three when I was growing up. It's changed a bit now, and still has the old look. The food is quite decent, as good as any Chinese food to be found in Gan. Delivery is available, as is take-out. It's what you'd expect. They tend to lean towards more non-Chinese dishes as well, bending a focus to more Canadian fare (burgers, fries, etc.). It's worth a stop, for sure. I'd also challenge anyone to determine if there's truth to the Bobby Orr myth. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. If you value your life, AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Just ate here about an hour ago, and after the first 10 minutes that I had finished my meal, I already felt it sitting badly in my stomach. This place is overpriced, gives small portions, takes way too long to serve their food, and is absolutely shitty. I wanna hold back on the curse words but I cannot because that's just how bad this place is. I also don't want to be rude, but their English is terrible here. Sorry, but if you're gonna have a business in this country you're gonna at least need to have understandable English. I'm visiting Canada from the SF Bay Area. If I can, I will give half star for its' food and service. We visited 1000 Islands NP and stop at 555 King Street for lunch. Food is ABSOLUTELY terrible and way overpriced. They also tried to trick us to pay double on tips after they included 15% of tips in our bill. After we paid and get ready to leave, they tried talk us to rent rooms in their tiny inn. Very disappointed! My partner and I were on a staycation for our birthdays not far from the restaurant - give or take 15 mins drive. We had stopped by to get a menu and asked if they delivered to the location we were at. The owner who was there at the time said yes. We placed our order over the phone for delivery, should have stopped then as the person taking the order stated they did not deliver to the area were in. We advised her the owner had said delivery could be done and thus finalized the order. My partner met the owner at delivery and paid, upon reviewing the receipt we were shocked to see the total as it was not what we anticipated - $75+ - for what would be one of the worst meals I have ever paid for. We were charged $15 for delivery - yet on the back of their menu it says FREE delivery on orders $30 before tax. When I called and spoke with someone at the restaurant I was advised they did NO FREE deliveries. I advised her the information found on the menu which appears to have been revised on Aug 2020 stated the opposite. She told me they never have had that and they even charge for local delivery. I was beyond upset and advised her that is false advertising. The only solution I was given was to speak to the owner as she is the one that decides per order what is to be done. I think we will not be ordering or visiting this restaurant if we are ever back in the area. The food was terrible - overpriced for low quality! We do not recommend this place at all. Worst Chinese food I've ever seen or eaten ! Please save yourself and take a 20 minute drive. Yo Kingston to VIP or Silverwok you won't be disappointed . If there was a O rating this places wins ! Had general Tao Chicken was deep fried tiny pieces of chicken with a batter with some sort of sauce second dish was Cantonese Chow Mien was just noodles very little veg a few shrimp and dried out BBQ pork . Pleasantly surprised by quality of food here! Having moved to the area recently we enjoyed it so much we've dined there 3 times in the last 5 weeks. EXCELLENT value for the money! Went out for a walk after getting into town and saw this place and decided to give it a try. I should have read Kerri's Yelp review first. The service at this place is a disaster. We placed our order and after 20 minutes no food and the guy in the next table who was there before us asked a waitress what happened to his order. He had been waiting 30 minutes. They immediately brought him two plates but it was my spring roll and cashew chicken. They another waitress came out with a different dish and roamed around the restaurant trying to figure out whose meal it was. After a while they figured out it was for the guy who got my meal. The waitress took the plates off his table and put them in front of me. I saw he didn't touch them so I ate the spring roll that obviously was prepackaged despite the menu description as homemade. It was also dried out. As for the cashew chicken - there was very little of either the dish had no Chinese vegetables but had very large pieces of broccoli, green peppers, carrots and green beans. The sauce tasted like turkey dinner gravy. The strangest tasting Chinese food I have ever had. As I am typing this review about 40 minutes after leaving the restaurant my stomach is feeling a little weird. This the first time I have ever given a restaurant a 1 rating but this was one of my worst restaurant experiences ever so the rating is well deserved. read more
