It was really strange that my first restaurant in my favourite city in Spain was called "Boston Burger". No, I did not eat any burgers, nor did I eat anything that reminded me of my eating experiences in Boston. I came to this place while I was on an afternoon stroll with a girl from Shanghai who currently is a student at the Universidad de Sevilla. She said to me,
"We can go for tapas or paella. Where do you want to go?"
I was not too sure. I ate tapas nearly every day, was a little tired of eating tapas every day and I have not eaten paella much. I said, "Paella." She took me here, sat at the patio outside and showed me a paella menu. The paella did not look impressive, just looking at the menu, but I was more interested in the "menu del día" (menu of the day), which is a special where you can get two dishes, a drink and some bread for a little under €8. For my two dishes, I still ordered a seafood paella, and a "chuleta" (pork chop) with fries. My friend got some sort of dish that had string beans and what appears to be chicken inside and a "pez espada" (swordfish).
I thought my paella was decently good, thought the seafood was decent, and the rice was cooked right. It was probably not the best paella I had in Sevilla, but sufficient. The pork was tender and flavourful, and the fries were decently good and almost addicting to eat. My friend seemed to have liked her dishes as well, thought one of her dishes was okay, but thought one of them was decently good.
Atmosphere was decent, probably the most irritating thing about this place was sometimes flies tend to come over, but it was not that bad. We talked about a lot of things for a while, such as identities, Chinese and Spanish cultures.
This place is at a great location. It's very close to the major landmarks in Sevilla, such as the Real Alcázar, La Giralda and the Torre del Oro. If you want more information about this place, this link might have details on the menu:

Overall, this is not high on my recommendations to get paella in Sevilla, but I think this is a solid choice and you should definitely consider the menu del día, since the prices are reasonable. read more
