They already came highly recommended, but when I reached out, they were SO nice. They came out as quickly as they could (most companies told me 2-3 weeks!) but they called me several times to give me updates as to whether they could try to get to me even sooner than my scheduled appointment which was only 1 day after I called! Joe and Corey were truly amazing - firstly, they were incredibly communicative about their ETA. When they arrived, they did a thorough diagnosis of the HVAC unit and even took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and why. They took care of the issue with ease and made a lot of recommendations to prevent future damage. They also offered to look at some of the other AC parts and my AC filter just to make sure I was maintaining everything properly - a service they did not need to do or take more time for. They ended up staying just chatting about best practices and were just about the friendliest repair people I have ever dealt with. I own two properties and have been through SO many bad or iffy contractors and repair people so it's such a relief to find reliable and high quality service providers. I will use Fong and Sullivan every time I have an issue and cannot recommend Joe and Corey enough.

Called another company who sent 2 guys for 3 visits because it just didn't get fixed. They charged us ~$2000 for replacing two things + labor, and the problem still wasn't fixed. At that point I decided to pivot. Went on a local FB page to ask for advice/names, and SSM came highly recommended. I called them on a Sunday and got an actual human in the office! (The other company has an AI assistant who sounds real. It's creepy.) Bruno from SSM came today, did a lot of diagnostic work, and figured out that the problem was electrical. We were charged just $232.50. Bruno took the time to explain things to us, and didn't try to sell us things. I did have to call and email multiple times to have the issue resolved, but it was resolved. Hopefully others have a more positive experience with this company than we did: They came to our home in May 2024 for AC "tune up" for the season. I was told that the system was in great order by the tech and supervisor with him. They charged me for the service: $169. That very same day the motor on our condenser failed. The part was under warranty, luckily; although they tried to charge me for the part, until I reminded the billing department I looked up the warranty myself. They did charge for the labor (169 again)-- despite the motor failure occurring the day they tuned up the system. November of 2024, we realized the Honeywell control board for our heating system had failed. Our system was about five years old at that point. Schulz techs replaced that part and charged us 455 for the service, which we paid shortly after receiving the bill. We paid using their online payment system on 11/17/2024 and payment processed 11/18/24. Eight months after they replaced the control board and we paid for the service, they sent another invoice for that same part from 11/2024 for 296 dollars. The original bill was for parts and labor. We found a far better company to use. We will not use Schulz again. Luckily my husband has his credit card statement and invoice to show we paid previously. Maybe just an error, but it isn't the first issue with this company.

I decided to…read moreinquire about the furnace tune up which require me to be on a service contract with them which is understandable. First time my furnace got tuned up in Jan 2021, my Nest thermostat end up not working after it was tuned up. It can't be a coincidence that it stopped working after the tune up. I call Atlantic to have them come back and take a look and was told the issue wasn't cause by them. I was also charged like 150 for having them come back to look at the issue they probably was caused by the technician. I ended having to buy a brand new Nest thermostat out of pocket. I was assured by Atlantic the oil prices would be competitive with other companies. In the past I have checked their price vs other companies and it was in the same range. But May 2023, I got oil auto delivered at a 3.59/gallon for 133 gallon for a total of 479.03. I checked other companies like Eastern Petroleum, they were charging 2.62/gallon!! I would have paid about 356 for the same delivery. To me this is unbelievable that there is a huge proce difference among other companies. Normally the invoice they drop off would have the price summary but this last delivery didn't have it at all. Why was this price summary left off on purpose?? I got same invoice via email when the delivery was just finished and it showed the breakdown. I decided to call Atlantic to cancel by service contract and told them the reason why. This was an opportunity to make things right and try to retain me as a customer. But there was no resistance so the service was cancelled and they told me thank you for having them as an oil provider. I can say thank you for ripping me off!! You will never have me as a customer ever again.

My tank never dropped below a quarter full, and the delivery dudes were like ninjas. The big issue I had was after my introductory twelve months, I got the Comcast treatment - prices jacked up, my annual free inspection evaporated, and I had to call three times to get an involuntary maintenance fee removed from my bill. In the end, oil is a commodity, and most companies offer a similar auto-delivery service. As it goes, I found another biz with a similar offer; however, the new biz lets you pay online (AP is USPS only), and even their list price is $0.20 less per gallon than Atlantic's going rate. The tank's an eyesore, and I need to modernize, but til then, it's a battle of who will charge less.

We were getting our furnace replaced and we went through the Mass Save HEAT Loan program. Dave has dealt with that many times and was a big help getting us everything that we needed from him and helping understand what exactly we needed to do. They removed the old and installed the new. It was a big project and they did great and left no mess. But a week later we noticed that our heat wasn't always kicking on when it should be. THIS WAS NOT ALL TOWN'S FAULT! I called and they sent someone over. He discovered a complicated problem that I didn't fully understand but the bottom line was that condensation was not draining properly and so the machine would eventually shut itself down. He fixed it for the time being and thought it might be all set. It was not. I ended up calling Dave on a Saturday when we were not even home (a family obligation) and told him that it had happened again. We had left a door unlocked and they were able to get in and fix it again. This second time was when they discovered some possible problems in the machine itself from the factory. Unfortunately their remedies only lasted about half a day and it was cold again the next morning. The main reason I was so concerned was that we had a baby in the house. I called Dave early on a Sunday and he and two others were there ASAP to give us a holdover fix that should last a few days because he had determined at this point that we needed a whole new machine. At no further cost to us, Dave and the guys came back a few days later, installed the "extra" new furnace and got rid of the bad one. Haven't had any problems since and this whole situation could have been a real mess. But Dave and his guys made a tough situation as easy as they possibly could and took care of everything for us.
