Amazing addition to the neighborhood. Onisha is knowledgable, friendly, chatty (in the best way) and put me totally at ease. She's not pushy and doesn't try to sell any products or upsell you on any services like so many higher end spaces do. The space is great - she's the only aesthetician, so when you book your appointment, the entire space is yours (though I'm sure if appointments are booked back to back with somebody else, there might be somebody waiting - my point is, there's not going to be a crowd!). Brazilian was affordable compared to the competition. Brows are pricey, but also very involved - I don't feel like I'll need to go back to get them done for a really long time because she took such great care to map everything out just right, and I know where to tweeze now without ruining the shape. I'll be honest, getting your brows done with someone new for the first time can be nerve racking. Right when I walked in ( her incredibly chic studio) she was warm welcoming and friendly. She took the time to discuss the type of look I hoped for and worked her magic. My brows have NEVER looked better. She truly is an artist and I won't be letting anyone touch my brows in the future. I went to Bossy Brows for years for eyebrow arching. Even when the price went to $45 for a simple arch and tint, I continued to go. I referred my sister for ombré over two years ago. She got them refreshed earlier this year. There is a subtle part of her eyebrow where consistent pressure was not applied. I don't need to be an "expert" to see the shading was not done properly at her visit. My sister contacted her and she was advised there was a $99 "assessment" fee. A fee to correct what you didn't do properly?? As I had a relationship with the owner and I anticipated the convo would go left, I decided to contact her. Overall, a disappointing conversation. Passive aggressive. Not owning her work. Claiming she advises clients "it's art". So you want compliments all the time but when advised of a service not don't properly you say it's art like my sister's face is a gallery. She didn't even want to see a picture. Her "assessment" fee to set up a tray. Any other business would absorb the cost. She decided to refund my sister a portion of the total cost and send her on her way. So a business owner who trains others decided to refund a cost but not take ownership of her work? In the beginning, she was good and the minor premium in price was acceptable. Now, her prices are outrageous, her work not at the level it once was and her customer service, I witnessed first hand, is disgusting. She was arguing with me and didn't want to see my point or at least compromise. And as the owner, the decision stops with her. No escalation and she knows it. Trust me it's not the cost, it's the principle. I wholeheartedly do not recommend. Being wrong and strong won't sustain a successful business. And now with our economy, I won't pay a premium money or recommend a business for poor customer service. A friend did ombré in February. I recommended her business. This is the best place I've ever gone to get my legs waxed. I'm so excited she opened in my neighborhood. The owner and operator Onisha is friendly, fun, professional and has such a light touch that I barely felt anything all, seriously, how is that possible?! Onisha is simply the best! My eyebrows have never looked better. I am extremely particular with my eyebrows and was very hesitant to try a new spot, however Onisha is very good at her work and made me feel at ease from the moment I met her. My skin is so sensitive from the retinoids I use so she patch tested my skin to see if the wax would be too harsh and then ultimately tweezed my brows. I have been trying to let my brows grow back in after several bad waxes at random nail places. I have been searching for someone I can trust to work with my brows while waiting for them to grow in so they are not such a giant bushy mess. I was very impressed to say the least. I made the 45 min drive to Bossy Brows. It was pristine inside and the decor was clean lines, simple but super cute! Onisha is super duper friendly and so accommodating. You can tell she loves what she does too. I told Onisha my concerns and we decided to tint and wax. We had great conversation about botox, fillers etc and before I knew it, the wax and tint was over. It was such a positive experience. I am so happy with my brows! I was blown away when I looked in the mirror for the first time. I no longer have to fill my brows in every single morning. She also made sure to work around the hair that seemed like they were rogue but were important for when the other hair grew in. Only place I will go for my brows!! So thankful I found Onisha, I was lost and struggling for a while until finding her. She is extremely talented, does a careful job and it always turns out flawless. She fills it in for you too and she's helped teach me how to better fill my eyebrows in on my own.
