It's been a while since my last review, but I felt it was time to confirm that the level of service at this barbershop is still unparalleled. The barber I originally started with moved on, and I've been getting my hair cut by Juan ever since. In my opinion, Juan is a true master barber and one of the best. More recently, I started going to Robert whenever Juan's schedule doesn't work with mine. I'm extremely picky and very routine when it comes to my hair, so I was pleasantly surprised to find someone else I trust just as much. My 16-year-old son has also become a loyal follower of Robert. Now that he's interested in girls, the haircut suddenly matters a whole lot more! Robert keeps him up on all the latest styles, and my son loves coming here. Honestly, every barber in the shop seems skilled. I just haven't made it much farther than Juan and Robert's chairs! Great barbers, great atmosphere, and you can tell there's real pride of ownership. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. read more

Consistently the best place to get a haircut. Higher price point but always high quality. I'm a hairstylist who refuses to do men's cuts for my boys. My husband and kids come here. read more

Third time in a row I've gone and three different barbers fail to do a beard lineup / cleanup. Charging $83 for a cut this subpar is insanity. read more

Been going here for years. Cameron is awesome I never have to worry about him messing up my hair or beard

Robbie is the best, he was recommended by two of my friends. Super happy with hair cut, chill vibes and was in and out quickly. Thanks again! read more

Shout out to Sophia, she was awesome! Been coming BBS for the better part of a year now. I was randomly paired with Sophia from a walk-in and now I'm not going to anyone else. Great stylist, great at communicating with you throughout the haircut, and fun to converse with. Had a random conversation about rooibos tea and its effects lol. Nevertheless, great stylist and better yet a great business, would give it ten stars if I could. read more

I've gotten my hairs cut from this shop multiple times. I usually get a mid to low skin fade and blended with the top with a little trim, no lineup. The quality of the cut is good, but could be better, hence the 4-stars. Another reason is the value - it's a bit on the $$$ side. It's also usually very busy so sometimes you'll have to wait a while (if you don't have an appointment with a specific barber). I suppose that's a good thing because you know they are good. But if you have to wait an extended period of time and your fade is still uneven, that's when the value doesn't "line up"; if people are lining up for a barber shop, they have to pick up their speed to get through the cuts but the quality suffers. So if you want it fast and cheap, it won't be good. If you want good and fast, it won't be cheap. The thing is, my haircuts are typically decent (fade on one side is not always even with the other, blend can be a little rough on the edges), but it's hardly fast and is not cheap. I'm paying about $45 (after tip) for a 3.5-4 star haircut. Nothing against the barber, because he's usually great. I'm just a bit of a perfectionist so I'll notice the little things. So unfortunately, 5-star reviews are tougher to come by from me. Overall vibe is great. They recently remodeled the shop so everything looks brand new. So you know they're doing well. I'll keep coming back and would recommend Bossman Barber for people whoever lives around the area and wants a good professional haircut from a barber and can afford it at the higher end. This ain't no Great Clips. It's definitely earned a solid 4-star. read more

I asked for a simple haircut and the barber said he didn't know how to do it so he gave me to someone else and they absolutely fricked me!!! and gave me the dumb and dumber cut read more

Went in for the first time yesterday and had an amazing experience. Robert was awesome and friendly, and I was super comfortable despite being a girl in a barbershop. Got a skin fade haircut was good, but I think $40 before tip for a skin fade is a bit crazy. A haircut should be one price not more for a certain kind of fade. I have gone to other barber shops and it's not like this. read more

Honestly I struggled with this review ! First time in and the staff isn't the most professional! I can totally get over that ... The loud obnoxious talking and the way they come off can ruffle some feathers ! But my poor amount of stars is for the actual hair cut I got ! I hate it it's awful .... Now it's just hair and grows back .. but I really look for a nice relaxing vibe from my barber and this was not it ! Also the gentleman that gave me a fresh shave sucks at using a straight edge razor ! He butchered my neck ... The amount of Nix left by him was ridiculous... take your time and do it right ! Also don't ask the client to tighten skin for you .. your the barber and should know and want to do all that yourself ... The only reason I'm not leaving 1 star is because it is a family owned and operated business .. so for that I am gentle with the star review .. But I won't be back and I hope I can find a decent barber on the west side .. read more

Love this place! Finally found a place who knows what they are doing! This is my go to place for my son.

Last year I lived in another state, where my haircut price at a barber shop went up from $18 to $25 due to inflation. When I moved to Peoria a few months ago I looked and asked around for a good barber shop. That is how I found Bossman in the Four Corners shopping area in Peoria. Last month was the first time I went there and my haircut cost me $35 (without tip). I thought it was quite high, but the barber I had (Cameron) was a friendly guy and did a great job. Therefore, I went there again. Today, after I got my haircut I was given a bill for $42.50 !!! There was a sign taped to the top of the front counter stating prices had been raised due to inflation, but there were no details as to how much. The list of prices on the wall still had the old prices, so that's what a customer sees when they first walk in the door. Cameron is a great barber, but this is an outrageous price for a simple men's haircut with no added services. Sorry, but this will be the last time I go there. read more

Sofia was great. The haircut was great. I had to leave in the middle of the cut I paid and I came back an hour later because I had an emergency and she didn't give me 2 much of a time so that was also great as well so all in all only place I go but 1st time I've had Sophia and she was wonderful read more

Camryn is the best! So efficient and cordial. Great barber. The shop cuts him so short and he deserves so much more. They won't schedule him for appointment which loses so much business. Only accepting walk in is such a waste of time and that why I'm rating this shop a 1 star. Get with the times. So unprofessional. Camryn if you see this lmk when you move shops!! read more

Amazing haircut experience! You will not be disappointed! Treat yourself to an experience.

Terrible customer service. I regularly go to a different barber shop and thought about giving Bossman a chance. I walked in 35 minutes before they closed and they immediately turned me away as soon as I walked in saying they were "done for the day". Why post your business hours as being 9am-5pm If you really close at 4:30? Wasted my time coming here - would not recommend. Very rarely do you find a business that is happy to turn away a paying customer like that. read more

I've been going to Kendall for my last couple of cuts and I Won't go anywhere else now. Kendall doesn't absolutely fantastic job on my side part with mid skin fade. I'm very satisfied and i'm very picky about my haircuts. I will usually go to a different Barber every 10 days until I find Somebody that I like.. Can't recommend Kendall Enough. Great atmosphere and vibe as well. read more

Extremely professional and skilled barbers. I went there while on vacation with my brother and father. Their haircuts were very clean exactly what they wanted. I want to specially thank Cameron for the work he did on my hair and beard. He was very clear about how he was going to cut my hair to achieve the results I was after. I was asked how I wanted my hair to be faded and at what angles I wanted my beard to be. I would thoroughly suggest Cameron to anybody looking for a new Barber. I would like to note as well that there was a fair amount of time involved with my haircut as I was asking for quite a lot of work. It also cost more than an average haircut. If you are looking for a generic haircut, I'm sure you can find a sports clips somewhere. But if you want a clean and professional look from barbers who take pride in their work, try Bossman Barbershop! read more

Two stars is generous. Ask for one cut get another. Won't be back. Doesn't matter what the vibe is for a good hair cut.

My husband and son have been going to Bossman barber for years now. They don't get their hair cut anywhere else. We had one experience where my son's haircut did not turn out the best but I think it was because it was a new hire and the shop was quick to make it right for us. They have great customer service and great haircuts. I would highly recommend. read more

I am very unhappy with this barber shop. I have gone to this barber about 4 to 5 times now over the last 2 years and they have never given me a haircut i was happy with, And when i say something the barber will start to explain his reasoning for the things he did. I showed the barber a reference pic and explained what i wanted done to my hair, i asked for one inch cut off, he proceeded to cut my hair until it was one inch long. He Told me what he was gonna do. They did things i didn't ask for and don't want to change it when their done. I sincerely gave this barber a chance but after what they did to me this last time, I am never going back. I wish i could give .5 a star. read more

I was looking for a new Barbershop in my are. I stumbled across this shop and thought I would check it out. As I entered the shop I was all decked out and I thought wow. Talking to the Receptionist I ask how much for a fade? I was told 33.00 I left thinking wow that high but it is the fanciest barber shop I had ever been In. Now I'm not old but, but I just want a good hair cut. I decided to try it out. Stephen cut my hair and did a great job. as I was checking out the price I was charged was 36.00. I explained to the receptionist that I was told 33.00 she said well you got a fade. I said still that's high, she said well we put a lot of money on this shop. I thought ok the. Two weeks later I went back a to try it again because I did get a good hair cut. after a good hair cut I went to pay again and was charged 36.50. I looked at the receipt and said what is the .50 for she said I know Right it is a charge to use the credit card machine. I said after these prices tour charging to use the visa machine. and Paid. I was waiting to tip Stephen who had gone to the bath room. At that point the OWNER was asking what was wrong. The Recp told him I asked about the .50 charg. this is when he attacked me verbally and told me if I had a problem I could go across the parking lot and get my hair cut at Great Clips. He then said I have done nothing but caused problems since I started coming. which this was only my second Visit. point being I'm the customer and just had a simple question about the charge. he didn't even aske me what my conceven was he just attacked me in front of his customer. watch out at this shop I recommend 4 other people to this shop and called them back to say this owner is crazy and rude as FU"". so he said his rent is high, good luck paying it as you lose business. You just lost 4 clients. read more

Honestly, all I've heard are good things about this place. I finally go in after figuring I could use some touching up. The women here have zero idea how to cut a man's head, absolutely clueless. I repeated myself about six to seven times, asking for a simple buzz cut and my entire head is shaved down to pricks. Would never go here again to get my hair cut by a woman. Ever male worker does a great job though, that's why I give this place 2 stars, highly recommend, they know what they're doing. read more
