Thalia did an amazing job today with the haircut and beard, but also was flexible with the schedule as I was trying to not miss the World Cup kickoff. She treats her clients well. Thank you, Thalia. read more

Decided to treat myself a little today I made an appointment for a haircut - Mens Fade (Skin/Bald Fade) & Facial / Face Massage. When I got in I checked in for my appointment and was seated immediately. My barber shared his name, buti missed it. I explained what I wanted (bald up to line all around). I appreciated the foil shaver to get it as close to bald as possible. The facial and hot towels were really nice. When I had them on, my barber walked away without saying anything so I assume that was normal. The massage part? He had a hand held massager which was nice, but kinda short. No face massage though which by the name of the service I expected. I tried to look online for any details of exactly what each service covered, but could not find anything. They had two beard trims, one regular, and the other deluxe, but I didn't get it since I couldn't find the difference. I also enjoyed the straight razor line up of the beard and neck. It was very thorough and he did a great job. The price though? As someone who would like to get a haircut monthly, this was too rich for me. It was a nice way to treat myself for sure, but maybe once a year . read more

While in the area picking up a coffee we saw V's Barbershop and decided to stop in and see if they had time for a walk in. My son was in desperate need of a cut before school starts back up next week. Lucky for us they had an opening within minutes. The shop was very nice and clean. They offered us a free soda or water which was nice. My son's hair looks great. We'll definitely come back in the future. It is hard to find a good barber. read more

just finished getting a haircut and beard trimmed. I've had several barbers over the past several years and Boris at the Glendale location rates with the best of them. Very attentive to detail and easy to talk to. thanks Boris... read more

V's Barbershop Arrowhead - This is the worst med/high skin fade I've ever seen. Horrible. - Barbers Near Me - Glendale, Arizona

Friendly and intelligent people. Also, as a senior I was charged $30 after having a nice discussion with my barber, Boris. The price is more than reasonable compared to others that I checked out that were asking $80!!!! Yeah. I'm not kidding. Highly recommended! read more

Boris was awesome! He did an incredible job! Definitely coming back to see him. My haircut is perfect before my wedding. Thank you!

The owners of this location fired their top two barbers, Vadim and Marina, and are lying to customers who call in to schedule with them, saying they quit. Of course they would want to retain the customer base, but when you only have 6 full time chairs, you can't get rid of your highest earning employees, without cause, and expect your business not to take a hit. Especially when the two barbers you fired have been in the business for decades and have very loyal customers. To the owners: Those customers who are specifically asking for them are THEIR customers, not YOUR customers. They spent years cultivating relationships and trust with their client base. It is unethical for you to try to steal them by lying. Their customers followed them from other locations to yours, and will do the same again. To customers of Vadim and Marina: If you call to schedule with Marina or Vadim and someone at the shop tells you they quit, they are LYING. If you need help contacting them, hopefully you can find an easy route, if you don't have their contact information. I'm kind of glad the talent is going somewhere new anyways, the new owners and new front desk people completely ruined the atmosphere of that place. read more

I am not a person that is typically loyal to any particular barber. I usually will just go to who ever is open and available with my schedule. After I have been to V's Barbershop and had KC give me some sound advice on what to do with my hair I have kept coming back since. He provides great service, friendly attitude, and will give great advice. Shop is very clean and I have not had any issues with scheduling an appointment. read more

Having recently moved from Orange County, California to the Phoenix area, I was on the hunt for a new barber. I was privileged to discover KC at V's Barbershop in Glendale! His professionalism, vast knowledge of hairstyles and friendly nature took me in and my hunt is now over! Thank you KC for filling in that gap! KC is extremely professional and very friendly! I received a head shave and beard trim that was perfectly executed and exactly as I wanted it. The hot towels were relaxing along with a nice vibrating massage. The shop has a comfortable atmosphere akin to old time barber shops, and the products used remind me of the good old days. I highly recommend you book an appointment with KC and you will enjoy the experience! read more

I had the greatest experience here. The hot towel is icing on the cake. My barber hooked it up with a beard trim and shave, which I didn't book. I'm going to be doing this haircut and beard service again. read more

I want to V's today. I haven't been able to find a good barbershop in the area yet but this place is definitely my favorite. The staff was very welcoming and I got a quality hair cut! Highly recommend. read more

According to his bio "When Jim Valenzuela "V" opened the first V's Barbershop & Shoeshine in 1999, he simply wanted a traditional barbershop to take his son for a haircut." I must admit it's been a reversal for me. I now take my 92 year old father to V's for the royal treatment. It doesn't matter who you get (although he prefers Jack and Diane is my preference) you always get good conversation, va quality cut and the full treatment of an old fashioned barbershop. This is not your typical "training ground" for new stylists. You'll see the same barbers giving the clientele their special touch. They also give back to the local schools and little league. So support the local guys and gals. read more

Barber was super nice and had great conversation. With that, I scheduled a basic beard trim. I wanted the lines cleaned up but not changed at all. He took so much hair off my cheek line and brought it down about a 1/4inch to where it looks like a handle bar mustache. My beard has some length, but takes an extremely long time to grow. It'll take weeks to correct this. I wish I noticed it in store so I could ask for a refund. I tipped well trusting everything looked fine. He also trimmed up my eyebrows without asking. Gave me no time to say anything and stop it. I was also just so shocked in the moment. Never had any trim my eyebrows and I've never even seen it at any other barbershop. read more

Definitely don't recommend this place if you are looking for anything other than your basic cut ( which you can get at great clips). I go to barbers for my boys so I can get exactly what I want. I asked for a medium fade and noticed they kind of just did whatever they wanted. I asked for line up for my son and one of the older gentlemen looked at me like I was silly for wanting my sons hair to be lined up he obviously didn't know what he was doing. I asked for them to fix my other sons hair which the lady that was there did to the best of her ability. I felt I was being talking about because I asked them to fix the haircut. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and I definitely would not bring any of my sons here again. I was told to show a picture next time but in my opinion a medium fade is a medium fade. If you are looking for a basic 10 minute cut then this is the place for you. Attached pictures of the haircut that was supposed to be lined up. read more

The lady running the desk should really learn to inform her staff of the services booked and not be so sour faced. Also when a client tells you what they want. you should listen and not do what you want. i would never come to this place ever. read more

The new owners have taken this V's in a bad trajectory. They fired their top two barbers because they pushed back on some new policies. Poor leadership for sure! Not to fear. Vadim and Marina opened shop in the same parking lot. I have been going to V's Arrowhead since 2004 AND I would go a minimum of 2 times per month and sometimes once a week. I will never step foot in this location again. read more

The person answering phone in the morning lies with no shame. Asked him for something very clear and then he literally gives me the exact opposite as I asked. I was extremely specific and he LITERALLY gave me the exact opposite. Idk if he's the owner or whatever, but it's frustrating going to a place and making sure you ask for what you want and when you show up, you see that he lied. read more

Called to ask how busy they were for a walk in they said to come right in, 30 minute wait, then when i stepped up to the chair the man joked about my long hair asking why i need a haircut, didnt seem confident handling my hair at all, showed him a picture of what id like and he glanced for half a second and got started. Literally 5 minutes later he hands me a mirror and asks if i like it. I felt uncomfortable with the handling so I just paid and got out of there, maybe i could have pressed harder for a better cut but the way he was asking what more i wanted I didnt feel comfortable sitting and explaining to the guy how he was supposed to cut my hair in such a quiet but populated environment. Picture of what i got vs what i asked for read more

I don't normally go to a barber, with the exception of my cousin when I visit in Colorado, but now that I'm growing my beard longer I decided to check out V's since my stepson goes there. It was a great experience. The entire staff was attentive and Vadim did a great job on my face. He evened out my beard and did a great job lining everything up. Just as important though was hearing how other clients were treated there and knowing, by the conversations, that they were regulars and appreciated the work done there. I will definitely start being a regular. read more

Quick, Clean Cut by a Pro Barber Was in the area for dinner and stopped in. I only go with places with real barbers due to some bad experiences in the past. I had also read some good things in Phoenix Magazine's Best of issue about this place. A gal checked me in, invited me to take a seat, and asked it I wanted some water. She said it would be just a few minutes, so I took a seat. Very comfortable, lots of magazines and TVs, and a pool table in the back. I wasn't seated long before a barber finished up and invited me over. Hank cut my hair and we got to exchange some stories about Chicago. Cut my hair perfectly in about 20 minutes while I watched How It's Made... on TV. Will be back! read more

My husband's hair & beard were butchered here. He was specific to request just an inch off his rugged beard that took him 4 years to get to the right shape & size. He left looking like he went to a butcher shop, not a barber shop, with barely over an inch of his beard left & oddly shaped. He regrets trying a new barber. I tried to convince him to go back in (especially after paying so much) but he was just done. Customer service was not anything to brag about either. We were a walk-in because the appointments were full but we were mostly ignored for about 15-20 minutes & told twice they were skipping him to take other walk-ins who would not take as much time. I guess we should have left at that point but he was hoping for a good experience. So sad. They did take their time & used hot towels, which was nice but even the haircut was one of the worst of his life. read more
