The barber I originally started with moved on, and I've been getting my hair cut by Juan ever since. In my opinion, Juan is a true master barber and one of the best. More recently, I started going to Robert whenever Juan's schedule doesn't work with mine. I'm extremely picky and very routine when it comes to my hair, so I was pleasantly surprised to find someone else I trust just as much. My 16-year-old son has also become a loyal follower of Robert. Now that he's interested in girls, the haircut suddenly matters a whole lot more! Robert keeps him up on all the latest styles, and my son loves coming here. Honestly, every barber in the shop seems skilled. I just haven't made it much farther than Juan and Robert's chairs! Great barbers, great atmosphere, and you can tell there's real pride of ownership. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Ask for Isak -- you won't be disappointed!…read more I randomly found First Choice Barber while looking for someone who could do a creative design with my haircut, and I'm SO glad I called. I was connected with Isak, and from the very beginning he was confident that he could do exactly what I was looking for. I came in with a design in mind, and Isak absolutely delivered. He was incredibly skilled, took his time, and paid attention to the details. The design came out even better than I hoped, and he kept enough length on top to give me a really fun, textured style. I walked out feeling AMAZING. But honestly, what made the experience even better was Isak himself. He was warm, personable, confident, and just an all-around wonderful person. I immediately felt comfortable with him. He reminded me so much of my little brother, which made the experience unexpectedly meaningful for me. Isak, thank you for making my haircut such a great experience. I'll absolutely be back! First Choice Barber is lucky to have you.

When I got in I checked in for my appointment and was seated immediately. My barber shared his name, buti missed it. I explained what I wanted (bald up to line all around). I appreciated the foil shaver to get it as close to bald as possible. The facial and hot towels were really nice. When I had them on, my barber walked away without saying anything so I assume that was normal. The massage part? He had a hand held massager which was nice, but kinda short. No face massage though which by the name of the service I expected. I tried to look online for any details of exactly what each service covered, but could not find anything. They had two beard trims, one regular, and the other deluxe, but I didn't get it since I couldn't find the difference. I also enjoyed the straight razor line up of the beard and neck. It was very thorough and he did a great job. The price though? As someone who would like to get a haircut monthly, this was too rich for me. It was a nice way to treat myself for sure, but maybe once a year .

I had a very disappointing experience with this salon and won't be returning…read more At my first appointment, I booked highlights. The stylist, Rachel, told me we could only do part of my hair that day and would need a second appointment to finish. I trusted her professional advice, even though the end result was clearly uneven -- highlights only on the top of my head and none underneath. Even though I wasn't happy, I still tipped her and politely booked a second appointment to fix the bottom section. At my second appointment, things got even worse. I waited about 15-16 minutes, only to be told there was a "miscommunication" -- I had been booked for the wrong service and with the wrong stylist. I had specifically requested Amber to fix my hair, but she was already with another client. So not only was my hair not done correctly the first time, but my time was completely wasted the second time as well. I drove there for nothing and left feeling stressed and frustrated. Overall, this experience felt very unprofessional and poorly managed. I gave them a second chance and was still let down. I won't be coming back.

She has been going to the "the best hair Solon in Peoria" for a long time and almost always Lisa is the stylist who sees her. Almost always Stephanie is the receptionist who handles our appointments. I have two observations to share: 1. Her hair looks beautiful after every visit. She loves it. I love it. That's worth the trip in itself. But there is more. 2. She is treated with sensitivity and love. It is more than customer care; it is human caring and understanding and patience. There is no fee that can buy that. It comes from another motivation. If you want quality of service that is packaged with character, look no further. I will never take her anywhere else. How can you beat the best?
