A service technician was scheduled and arrived to do the work. However, to my disappointment, it turns out that they don't actually run or monitor a panel in the building where the service was needed. Essentially, I paid a fortune for absolutely nothing. It would have been much more professional if they had informed me upfront that they do not have a panel in this building, or at the very least, asked me for details about the panel and requested a picture. When I contacted another company afterwards, the first thing they did was ask for a picture of the panel before sending out a service technician. It's frustrating to encounter such a lack of communication and professionalism. I expected better from a company that claims to provide these services. Needless to say, I won't be recommending them to anyone in the future.

When I calculated that the expense was greater than the service I received, I decided to stop the monitoring. Even though Professional Alarm was told my system no longer worked, they have continued to bill me for the monitoring for over six months, even after being told that the service was no longer being provided on several occasions. I refused, and when I tried to contact them to make sure I would no longer wanted the service, which I sent daily starting 7/16, they ghosted me. I called the company today, and again, they kept trying to sell me a continuation their service, refusing to take no for an answer. She went so far as to ask if there was another family member who could take over the contract, seeming to imply that I'm not competent to handle my own affairs. She claims that I never asked to have my service and payments for it discontinued, so they will charge me for another month. When I asked for sn email that gives me written confirmation of my request and end of service, she told me I had to call another number. Surprise! It goes directly to voicemail and I've gotten no return call. Thus is a company that should be avoided at all costs. They provide terrible service and customer service, and are basically committing highway robbery.
