I was getting a constant error code and could not resolve it following the manual. When Randy arrived, I detailed all that I had done to that point. We ran uninterrupted hot water for 30 minutes with no fail (error code). I said maybe it settled down and asked Randy what my charge was for his coming over. He said "You did everything I would have to fix it, so no service charge"! Unbelievable! A week later, the error code was back (and no reliable hot water). Randy came out again, checked everything on the units intake/exhaust system and found no reason for the error code. He dug in further and found a dip switch that was not set up correctly by the original installer. He spent 90 minutes working on the unit, ran a test with all faucets running hot water at the same time, and it worked perfectly. This time, I ask what I owed for his professional service and he said "our regular service call fee . . . $75.00". Every other company in Salt Lake would have charged that (or more) as their portal-to-portal hourly fee! Everyone at Brozwood was smart, efficient, professional, and really made me feel like their only customer. I'll call them again for and HVAC/Plumbing issues in the future and I'll recommend them to anyone that asks for a help with their home.

We met with Blue Best late in 2024 to discuss our concern with air temps in our house, specifically temps in our living room and kitchen, which have high ceilings and southern exposure and become uncomfortably hot in summer. We were very clear about our concern, and the salesperson spent hours assessing our home and assured us his proposed system would solve the problem. We accepted the ~$14,000 bid to install a heat pump solution based on that assurance. By summer 2025, the living room and kitchen were still too hot on most sunny days. Despite many service visits and repeated adjustments (baffles, registers, fan speeds, etc.), the issue was never resolved. Blue Best ultimately stated the system was operating as designed and implied the problem was with our home, not their installation.  In our opinion, Blue Best is very good at selling a solution, but not so good at ensuring that solution meets what the customer needs. Two independent HVAC contractors opined: -Our ductwork is in good condition. -The thermostat, furnace, and compressor Blue Best installed were not properly matched. -Basic industry-standard load calculations (e.g., Manual J) were apparently not done, which would have shown the system was undersized for our home's layout, windows, and sun exposure. Blue Best has declined to remove the system or refund our payment, instead relying on fine print in the contract. We are now pursuing legal options. We have since spent ~$12,000 on a mini-split system from another contractor, which works as intended. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Blue Best and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

My neighbor recommended Calaway Heating & Air in St George, UT. My air conditioner lasted 27 years…read morebefore having to be replaced. I did not have time to do my own research as my dad was in the hospital and I had to leave, so I trusted my neighbors recommend. It was installed 5/17/21 by Calaway Heating & Air, Kellen and another young man. Later on that year, around November, water was coming through the ceiling in my garage from the attic . My neighbor went up there, and said the drain pan was not aligned properly. He fixed it the best he could . In October 2022, when the another company repiped my house they found a big gap behind my new air conditioner unit in the attic. The repipe company took pictures for me since I was unable to crawl around the unit in the attic. Since the gap was in the back, I never knew how bad it was. After two summers I was wondering why my bills were not lower since I had a new air conditioner. The unit was not even attached to the plenum. I had to send Kellen pictures before he sent someone out to fix it. I asked Calaway to reimburse me $240.00 that I paid for the service plan I purchased since I did not use it, and they refused. They offered me service or air filters that I did not need. I just wanted to be reimbursed. The repiping company found more errors. They told me that the furnace to the top of the coil to top of plenum was not aligned properly and what my neighbor did was a temporary fix, and I could have more water problems. I was not able to afford any more work (As I'm disabled and on limited income) and pipes were bursting in the area including two houses next door to me. The temporary fix did not last long and I had to have the unit resealed and leveled December 2023. 9 hours and $1500.00 later my air conditioning unit is now secure and draining properly. Not only did I have to pay another company to fix their errors. I had to pay to have my ceiling fixed not once, but twice from water leaks. Calaway heating and Air cut corners, did not do their job properly and they do not care. I emailed the manager asking for a refund of the service plan, and I never got a response. I guess this is how single disabled women get treated. They don't even deserve one star.
