Both areas have started to sprout, not just a little bit but the whole area, 15' x 4' and 8' x 8'. When I called the store they said they could not guarantee the bales would not sprout the seeds. My garden it now covered in what I assume to be barely. I would suggest that you go else where for this product as the bales I purchased at Willow have seeded the whole area. This product just creates more work and does not accomplish what I wanted which was to stop weeds from coming up during winter.

When I asked her about it, she rolled her eyes and laughed instead of offering help or kindness. For a place that promotes itself as supporting animal rescue and community compassion, the interaction felt judgmental and out of touch -- especially toward someone clearly trying to care for their pet on a limited income. It left me feeling small and unwelcome, and that's not what community care should look like. If you want to support local animal welfare, there are wonderful groups in Victoria doing great work with empathy and integrity, like Victoria Humane Society, ROAM (Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing), or Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders. I'd encourage people to donate or volunteer there instead.
