The problem comes after your office visit and they try to pressure you into buying glasses or contacts here . They also went as far as putting a hold on ny VSP benefit when I only wanted an eye exam. I went to use my VSP plan at another eyewear provider and they said this fine office put an authorization hold on my benefits so that I could only use them at this provider.

The office staff always greets me and is very pleasant. Eyes are very important to me and I have complete confidence in this doctor and the doctors she has referred me and my family over the years. My husband has a serious condition and was referred to an excellent specialist. My elderly mom also has a serious eye condition and was referred to excellent specialists. Sue has been helping me choose frames that are both attractive and comfortable. She accurately measures and fits the glasses. I love this office. I can't understand the negative reviews. Sometimes you get the attitude you give. No one has ever been rude to me. Only time I was referred to another doctor was when my family or I needed care this office could not provide.

The normal doctor was out of the country so there was a stand in. That person was nice and clean, but missed that I have a prism in my lense. When I pointed it out his response was "Well it's very small." I don't care how small it is, he missed it! I picked out $200 frames and after insurance (which is quite good) the price to me was still over $800! That's ridiculous. I have a basic perscription with one 'small' prism! Once I said no to that, the persons attitude changed, and she turned her back on me ; I became invisible. Two days later I get a call saying I needed to have a special test done to see if i am going to have an occular stroke! Oh and insurance doesn't cover it. Funny that was the same 'dire' phone call my husband received. He did the test and it was nothing. I suspected fowl play here. So I got my exam notes over to a different doctor and he says there is nothing to indicate that I need to have that scan. And yes, the cost of those glasses frames was way too high! WARNING !!!! Watch out for these money grubbing people. They are not putting their clients needs first!

The support staff were excellent, from the receptionist Lorna in the doctor's office to the eyeglass staff in the Vision Center, Cheryl, Kenny, and Danny. Cheryl even saved me money by her re-checking of my insurance plan. Kenny and Danny did a great job ordering and fitting my glasses. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would go there again.

They called me the day of at 2:30 to see if I could come early so the doc could leave earlier...I thought that was a little unprofessional but ehh. Perhaps I would too if I had a job that allowed something like that. Upon my arrival (at 4 as I couldn't make it earlier), they saw me immediately and even charged me a lower fee as I've had contacts before despite being a first time patient here. That was nice. Doc also gave me an extra "trial" pair of lenses. Always appreciated cause contacts are expensive and my insurance doesn't cover much. Overall, I plan to come back next year for my annual exam/prescription. I don't wear glasses so I can't speak to that. Staff were all friendly and down to earth.
