Jody, the salesperson was fast and informative in the numerous questions I had on the bike. I showed up in the morning, signed the papers and was out of there within the hour. If your bike is for sale at Moto Authority and HAS NOT SOLD one reason might be the outrageous…read moredocument fees the new owners are gouging buyers with. Buyers are going to pay NM excise tax on the purchase price of the vehicle and registration fees no matter where they buy a vehicle BUT at Moto Authority buyers get gouged with an excessive document fee for Moto Authority making the trip to MVD. Moto Authority gets a commission for selling your bike and on top of that they gouge the buyer with an excessive document fee for their time. They should be satisfied with the commission on the sale of a bike they have no money invested in. They do provide floor space to display the bike and their overhead and operating costs are real BUT the sales commission should cover the trip to MVD. Moto Authority says that "For Over 17 Years: New Mexico's Preferred Choice for Motorcycles..." BUT that reputation was built by the old owner. The new owner(s) acts like a car dealer with inflated after the sale fees. When you want to sell your bike the smart move is to spend $5 and advertise your bike on Craigslist. The buyer will pay you directly and you won't pay commission to anyone. Then the buyer goes to MVD to pay the tax and registration fees without paying a document fee. That's MORE money in YOUR pocket and more money in the buyer's pocket. 10/11/25 EDIT to the owner: Your "document fees" are excessive and that is a FACT. If your consignment customers don't list their bikes on Craigslist and keep more money in theirs and the buyers pockets then they deserve what they get at Moto Authority. Your "pride" in your document fees won't get you what you think. I supported Moto Authority in the past and always got a fair deal from Steve but I wouldn't buy a quart of oil from you.

Now home the bike has no brake lights, The front fender was attached with screws that could not be tightened as one screw fell off on the ride home, the ignition switch was not repaired adequately, no pinstriping, and no assurity bond. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE THERE!!! You will be conned and wait a very long time for any repairs, they will take your money and forget you. FORGET THEM GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I ride a hyosung gv250 which needed a lot of work since moving here in February. I brought it in…read moreto have it checked out because it was constantly stalling, needed an oil change, a brake fluid flush and the hose replaced and one of the braces for the wind shield cracked so I wanted to see if they could repair it. I picked it up the next day, all ready to go. They completed the oil change, adjusted the throttle to fix the stalling, put air in the tires because the pressure was dangerously low, flushed the brake fluid and replaced the hose, replaced the spark plugs (he said he was surprised they even still functioned) did a complete inspection to make sure everything was working as it should. They were super informative and didn't mind answering any questions I had. We even got into a great conversation about what type of motorcycle my husband should get! Although they weren't able to repair or replace the brace for the windshield, they completed all other work efficiently and showed no bias in dealing with a woman; which I have had issues with before. All the extra work and assessing they did, I was only charged for the oil change, brake fluid/hose and spark plugs. I will be back and I recommend this place for everyone, especially women riders looking for a home to bring their bikes!

We googled auto repair and arrived here to helped immediately. A full diagnostic was done as the dash lights were detecting 4x4 problems due to tire issues. They went out of the way to get 2 new front tires for us even though we had to wait 3 hours they reccomended places to grab lunch and wait out of the heat. We expected a high bill being a mom and daughter on the interstate and with the diagnostics, but our bill was VERY reasonable. These were good and honest people that I highly recommend.
