Dr. Gary Reznik is AMAZING…read more I've never seen people as professional as Doctor Gary Reznik, MD FACC is. When we want to choose the best expert in California, who doesn't want the very best? Surprisingly, the Dr. Gary Reznik was recommended everything! I read enthusiastic reviews about Dr. Gary Reznik, and it is true. He extensively explains all alternatives, so his patients can make the best educated decision for themselves. And he seems not only extremely knowledgeable and dedicated but also genuinely compassionate. I really like how doctor gives eye contact, answers questions, ask questions, explains procedures - it made me feel comfortable. He genuinely makes you feel like you're just consulting with an old friend. I think Dr. Gary Reznik is one of the most knowledgeable, smart, productive, generous, caring individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His talents and creative thinking regarding analysis and consideration of highly complicated medical issues are unparalleled. If he sees a problem, he will address it immediately and thoroughly. Again, without causing fear mongering. My experience with Dr. Gary Reznik was consistently empowering. He did a ultrasound and explained my ultrasound results thoroughly and used easy examples when explaining what inside the breast and how things work. The follow ups are awesome as well. And you would never feel abandoned with your disease and concerns while the world continues it's jolly turn. Thank you greatly Dr. Gary Reznik! But I also have to focus on intellectual skills of Dr. Gary Reznik, such as ability to make difficult diagnoses and emotional intelligence, such as the fantastic ability to collaborate and effectively lead teams. By putting together, the best team of medical professionals and paying attention to every detail Dr. put the patient first. First in safety. First in care. About his center. Very nice, clean, conveniently located center. Many times, I have had my check-up at this center. And I can honestly say that it was a great experience in every sense. In addition to his being a fantastic doctor he has friendly office staff always makes you comfortable and accommodating. The front desk staff was professional and patient. At the same time, I received an attentive and warm attitude of staff and doctors, an excellent and quick diagnosis with a detailed explanation of all important issues related to the health of my heart. Every communication before, during and after this process reflected their gold standard of patient care. They are really quite amazing. It was like we had been friends for years. He tried calling the number listed on their ZocDoc page and only reached an answering service -- no help at all. After all of that, Jordan/Jordyn called me and was immediately dismissive and accusatory, insisting there was "no way" any of that could have happened because they'd been sitting there the whole time. There was zero empathy or concern for a new patient's experience, just attitude. My husband and I were both planning to switch here after our previous primary moved out of state. After this interaction, I can confidently say it will NOT be with this office.

I'm incredibly disappointed with Dr. Gladstein's care…read more Requesting to speak with the doctor on-call for APLA on a weekend, I never would have imagined reaching someone more concerned with finishing his morning run than actually having a conversation with me about why I needed medical care. But Dr. Gladstein was the doctor on-call, and he was short and rude. He called me back immediately after I called the after-hours service, and there was a problem with him getting through to me, so he chose to lecture me via voicemail on how to use my phone so I could receive his call. Seriously? He got voicemail. How about, "Sorry I missed you. Please call the service again and then be prepared for me to call you back very quickly." ?? And then when we did connect: all talk, no listen. Denying things I said that were true. Talking over me. Not hearing me. Not trusting that I knew anything about my own health. (I'm not trying to be a doctor, here; I'm trying to be a good patient advocating for and collaborating on my own care.) After my (amazing) primary care doctor retired, I'm looking for a new primary care physician. I had been told Dr. Gladstein was a "traditional" type of doctor. I now know that was code for "bossy know-it-all who doesn't let the patient speak." Dr. Jay Gladstein may be technically brilliant, but he doesn't have the care, patience, or empathy to deal with people - and isn't caring for people what doctors do?

My concerns started before the procedure when I was told the anesthesia was not typically covered by insurance and that I would need to pay $500 out of pocket. I later found out my insurance did cover it. His anesthesiologist just didn't take my insurance. While I should have verified this myself, I felt the information provided was inaccurate. After the procedure, Dr. Davidson called with my results and said everything looked good. I mentioned that I was still experiencing a sour, acidic feeling in my upper stomach, but I felt my concerns were dismissed. When I asked again, his response came across as irritated rather than helpful. I was also disappointed by the billing. I received a charge for an "office visit" for the brief five-minute results call. When I questioned it, I found it was coded as a complex office visit that typically lasts over 45 minutes, which did not seem appropriate. After I challenged the charge, it was removed. Although the procedure itself went well, the follow-up care, communication, and billing experience left me disappointed. I will not be returning.
