I sent a message late last night asking for a quote, and got a quick reply this morning (Feb. 29) at around 7:20 am offering to come by between 8 and 10. I didn't see the email until 10, but he still came within an hour, around 11, and was done by 11:40. Dylan was fast and efficient and friendly, cleared exactly the areas that we needed cleared, and charged a very reasonable price, including giving us a seniors discount! I highly recommend Dylan and Wild Yard Landscaping for snow removal, especially for seniors. We intend to get a quote later this year, after the snow is gone, for other landscaping work that we want done.

I just moved from Edmonton to Vancouver and as you know so much has changed due to Covid 19. It is affecting everything! Such a stressful time. Bob of Alberta First Choice Moving Systems was the only person who actually come to my one bedroom apartment to give an estimate of how much my move would cost. Social distancing was observed. My son helped me with all this and he collected several bids from different moving companies. Alberta First Choice was the best bid. I have 3800 pounds of stuff! I am almost 60 and it is all my precious memories and things... I bought U Haul boxes cause they are the best deal, around $2 for the large ones. I bought 45, used all but 7. I bought really good duct tape. You don't want your stuff falling out of the bottom of boxes on the street. Cheaper duct tape is not a good idea. This moving company wraps your furniture in heavy blankets, pretty sweet really. The day the moving gentle men came to load up my stuff was amazing. They were super fast and polite. They observed physical distancing and wore masks. These guys are strong!! I have lead crystal (seriously, I collect it at thrift stores). I tried to even the weight out in the boxes...if I had heavy things like books on the bottom of a box I put light things like towels and clothes in the rest of the box. But they were still pretty heavy. Sorry guys, I tried, lol... When my stuff arrived in Vancouver the moving guys unloaded it super fast and carefully. I had cleared the whole kitchen area to put the boxes as they arrived so it was less chaotic. And because the boxes were all the same size they could be stacked neatly. All the furniture went into the bedroom to make it easier to organize later. 2 drinking glasses broke during the move but only because I did not pack them properly. I got tired of packing and just kind of threw the last ones in a box. An Ikea dresser got wonky when it arrived after it's journey but I had moved that dresser 2 or 3 times already and moving is tough on Ikea furniture. My son was able to fix it. No problems. But everything else was fine, which is amazing when you consider it was all packed by me, I am no expert, and it had to be driven in a giant semi truck 1200 km in the winter over the mountains! So I am finally unpacking my pretty things here in Vancouver, and my new place is looking pretty great. Not fancy, but cozy and comfortable. I want to really thank Bob and his great team of guys for helping me make this big move in kind of scary times, most of the world on lockdown due to the virus...I wish you and your families all the best!! JT has an expletive mouth and attitude. In no uncertain terms, he told me to take down my review. I did for a while, but I will not have someone tell me what I can or cannot do! Having undergone numerous relocations, I have not previously encountered such a shortfall in packing quality--no blankets for furniture or mats on our plank flooring (which we requested). They literally threw our cutlery in the box without wrapping them and broke my canister set, among other things. To be more specific, items were not sufficiently wrapped or secured with tape, and the packing of the kitchen, storage room, and bedrooms was left unfinished. Upon the delivery of my belongings, several pieces of furniture were damaged, exhibiting scratches, dings, and a broken nightstand. Additionally, the bed was assembled incorrectly, which required us to call the store from where we purchased the bed and have them rebuild it. Not only that, but garbage spilling from the paper shredder created a considerable mess in the office area. I was quite dismayed when our request for them to return and complete the work was met with laughter and a statement that an additional charge would be incurred. Roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed pototatoes, corn, cabbage rolls, buns and two appe pies. Enough food for eight to ten hungry people for $150.00 We ordered this for Christmas 2010 and it was great Mom wasn't stuck cooking all day in the kitchen (she got to enjoy time with the grand kids), so we decided to do it again in 2011. Unfortunately, that was a bad decision. The turkey was ok but had a weird spice that it was cooked with, the stuffing tasted horrid, the mashed potatoes were burned brown in the serving tray, the cabbage rolls were charred black on the bottom, luckily you can't screw up corn and they bought the pies elsewhere. Being Christmas day there wasn't much we could do... Our Christmas dinner was horrid but we made the best of it. Their website has a contact form so I filled it out that night wanting only an apology at the least. No response in three or four days. My father took the tray of burnt cabbage rolls back to them but there was no management in the store when he was there so he left his name and number, no response. Before this year I had given recommendations to use them every time some was looking for a caterer, now I recommend you avoid them like the plague!

We like certain things certain ways so we do like to jazz up the mashed potatoes and change out the perogies and cabbage rolls for my mother's instead, putting D'Arcy's perogies and cabbage rolls away for another meal or time. And we add a special dessert or two because I agree that the 3 small store bought pies don't cut it. If I could suggest improvements to the service I would like to see them allow for substitutions for certain items like the perogies, cabbage rolls and pies but they won't do that at this time. Instead of the 3 pies, I would prefer one large exquisite pumpkin pie or apple pie or other great choice of desserts. They can get them from Costco just as easily. They could use generic or their own logo'd packaging and use Costco's products. Would be a much better presentation. I went there a few years ago for window tinting and PPF, which my MB dealer suggested to go here…read morecause they bought all there cars there (found out later MB guy lied to me after i got my shitty Service from Adrenalin audio and said he never said to go there..) but that's a different F#$ up.) I got them to do 5 windows and headlights, and 3/4 Hood film, after i went to pick up my car and notice that there was a dent in my fender that wasn't there before (As i just bought that car) Ray the Co-Owner of AA tried to play dumb and said "Oh That was there before line.) So we agreed he'd fix but he still charged me for it.. as i was picking up my car the 2nd time i notice that they scratched my hood just above where they had did the film, as i got back into my car i had seen my car temp was a full running temp as it should not be from only driving it around from back of the shop. I got out to ask Ray about it and again made some BS excuse for it as he was backing up from me looking scared. Finally i got home and did a go around check the over all state of my car and notice that the passenger side had scratches on the rear door and damage just under my gas lid door on the dog leg of the quarter panel. Figure Ray took my car Joy riding and drove the living shit out of it, MB looked of the car and checked the last time the car was driven and said the car had hit the rev limiter many times in the time from when Ray had my car. I called and was ghosted/Blocked all my calls back to him..Too bad i didn't know the other co-owner of this, bet he'd like to know too. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE !!!! bunch of lying pricks.
