HORRIBLE experience with Trademark Construction and Flooring!!!…read moreAs with most sales they were fine when they were making the sale but when they made a mistake and re-sold flooring I had paid for in full, I was the one who suffered - losing both money and time in having to find a replacement. They refused to refund me the full amount when they could not provide me the product. I paid in full for flooring from them & they said they would hold it for me.  There was no deadline given and I was never contacted to say it needed to be picked up by a certain date. They had both a valid phone number and email address to contact me.  When I contacted them to pick it up not only do I find out that they don't have the flooring any more but that they can no longer get the product in. It was a pallet worth (over 1000 sq ft) of flooring that I had paid for.  Without contacting me, they then sold that same product a 2nd time to someone else.   When their error was discovered they offered me a different product that was not as nice nor was the quality as good as what I had originally bought. I considered other options they had (and I would have been willing to pay the difference for a product if there was something else I like) but nothing worked for what I was needing as I had purchased other things based on my initial purchase with them. I spoke to both the owner and accountant at Trademark and they refused to give me back all of the money I'd paid (holding back over $200.  The owner initially said some BS about it being for taxes. Yes they would have paid taxes on it last year but this year it would show as a loss and so it would be a tax credit.  So I said no way. The owner then said I would have to talk to the accountant the following week.  When I spoke to her she blamed me for waiting so long to pick it up then said they were holding back money for the credit card charges.  Crappy customer service!!  They should have returned my money in full and compensated me for the hassle their lack of organization causes me. It should be the responsibility of the company to control their inventory. Hello?!?!  They sold it twice!  Making profit on it twice!  Master Card isn't able to do anything since the company has given me a partial refund and it's been over a year now. Be warned.  This company wants sales but has no accountability and will resell your product out from under you!

Great 8 was one of the construction companies that I contacted regarding completing previously…read morestarted renovations at my Dad's acreage. I was upfront and mentioned that Dad had dementia but had home care as well as myself caring for him. I was told that they were booking 6 weeks out so they could not accommodate me. They didn't even offer to come give an estimate of the work. That was fine until a week later I saw them bidding on Facebook asks groups for renovation work. This led me to think that it was my Dad's condition not the job that was the issue. I'd contacted a few other contractors who were at least upfront with me. They said that unfortunately they couldn't accommodate a client like my Dad. Great 8 are just flat out liars. Thankfully, I was able to find another local company that agreed to take on the job. They've been awesome with Dad - he loved them. He'd call me asking when they were coming out so he could have things ready for them. The team even helped celebrate Dad's 80th birthday. Sadly, a month later Dad had to go into long term care. The renos are almost done. Unfortunately, Dad won't see the result. Since then, when people on Asking FB pages want referrals for renos, I give them Sherwood Construction. Great 8 and their followers have taken exception and have attacked both my husband and I when we post a referral. They've even taken to personal attacks on Messenger. Despite blocking, we are unable to get them to stop. They have even managed to get us kicked out of FB groups when we've done nothing wrong, aside from not referring Great 8. They are a company to TOTALLY avoid unless you fancy being harassed and threatened. Legal action is pending.

During the Covid pandemic, I called a number of roofers to reshingle a small garage, noting that…read moreconstruction was considered an essential service. They all, with one exception, assured me that they would look at the job "next week". Of course, I'm still waiting for those roofers. The exception was A2Z Roofing, who looked at the job the same week and provided a written estimate the next week. To help us decide, they provided pictures of the shingles as well as the manufacturer so we were able to see the colour and quality of their work. Within a week of accepting the estimate, A2Z finished the job and cleaned up in an afternoon. They gave plenty of warning so we could get the car out of the garage. They even cleaned inside the garage to ensure that there weren't any nails for my tires to roll over when I put my car back in the garage. I appreciate A2Z responding when others didn't and I appreciated the personal care they gave us on our small renovation.

They listened to our concerns and since their visit we have not seen the problems that we were experiencing before in the seasons directly following the installation. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience I could encounter with my investment!! I had gotten 5…read morequotes and chose the middle quote. Oh my goodness!! The unprofessionalism displayed throughout!! On Wednesday, when RBM started, with 3 guys mostly hanging around their vehicles and the main one man crew. On the Friday, Bobby invoiced me so I left a cheque in the mailbox...before getting the mess inspected . They then started my next door neighbor's house using my power for their generator. Bobby offered a $50 reimbursement...which was never honoured. On Sunday, I noticed 7 bundles on top of my roof, garbage on my UNFINISHED front veranda and one of my exterior cameras pointed downward...why? When I questioned Bobby, he brought it to his one man crew's attention. Monday morning, one man crew claimed he finished it...yes...by putting brand new shingles onto old shingles. At that point, I was concerned how the rest of my house was completed if I, myself can see issues. That day, I got another roofing company to go up to see UNBELIEVABLE workmanship!! Nails all over the roof, filled eavestroughs with debris, exposed nails that allow for future leakage, rips and cuts in shingles, missing ice/water barrier, missing drip edge, 2 spots where worn shingles should NOT have been used (manufacturer would have replaced them), incorrect valleys that the manufacturer will not warranty the product if future leakage, 2 sides completely shingled wrongly...why? After bringing these few issues to Bobby's attention, strangely enough, his one man crew got back onto my roof at 1:30pm THAT day...no notice given to me...and replaced the worn shingles he "just happened" to know where they were...WITH MY NEIGHBOUR'S SHINGLES...A DIFFERENT COLOUR!!!!...creating a patchwork quilt!! That evening, while Bobby was attempting to fix the patchwork quilt with the correct colour of shingles, another professional roofer picked apart more difficiencies to Bobby's face. He got Bobby to admit how badly the roof was done and Bobby offered to replace my ENTIRE roof. He asked for my email so he could etransfer an INCONVENIENCE reimbursement. HOWEVER, after Bobby portrayed he is NOT a man of his word multiple times by not following through with promises made in text messages, I finally requested a full refund so I can hire a reputable company to redo my roof PLUS a monetary request for my inconvenience. We depend on roofers to protect our investment...not to have our investment depreciated. Whenever I see their signage displayed, I advise those customers to get an inspection and I share what I experienced. We as customers trust contractors...I hope Bobby will do what is right by my roof!! I can only advise folks to find reputable roofers who are part of the Alberta Roof Contractors Association and where they are held accountable. RBM Roofing is not a part of this association.

Dave Rheaume gave me an estimate to replace the shingles…read moreon our 2006 house in MacEwan... he was friendly and explained everything to my satisfaction... price was reasonable compared to other estimates from two other companies. Raj and the crew came early in the morning and worked diligently... the crew was friendly and I was impressed with their clean-up at the end of the day. Chelsea came by after the work was done and was helpful and I gave her some neighbourhood referrals and told her that I was ok for Roofing RBM to place their sign on my front yard. Bobby called me afterwards about completing the work project. And thanks Dave Charette for doing the downspout extensions. They are good people and wishing them continued success!
