Great fun great food great people great prices many different kinds of margaritas. Many different kinds of beers. Also, the food is amazing. They do have a children's menu. I usually get the quesadilla. I get to jambalaya. The salads are fantastic.

Main course delicious

Excellent delicious food. Always our favorite We have been coming here for years. Always high quality and service so quickly. The staff works very hard

I order the Cajun salad from border cafe and recently took a bite of a screw/bolt type thing that was in my salad. The manager refunded my order but this place has gone downhill. A few weeks later I ordered again as it's super close to my house and found two staples in my same salad. Please God for your own safety, stay FAR away!!!!!

Flattened overseasoned salmon on a salad... dressing was supposed to be on the side... Instead, the lettuce is wilted and soaked.

Ordered blackened salmon Caesar salad to go, mango dressing on the side and I also asked for salmon to be placed on the side. My fault, I should've checked it... Got home, this is what I got... Blackened, salmon, flat, and over, seasoned, tasted frozen, Caesar salad, filling about half of the container, drenched in dressing. no mango dressing and the salmon was placed on the salad squished into the to go the container as there were a couple of pieces of grilled greasy bread on top also, squished into the salad. Don't remember seeing the grilled greasy bread on the menu. Anyway, Saturday afternoon, 3:30 PM, called back to speak to manager, and no one has answered so far... Will try again... So disappointed because the salmon was top-notch. Hoping to get some kind of a response from the restaurant as you can see in my reviews, it is rare that I give such a low scoring review.

Found this spot not long after moving to Malden and have been a frequent visitor ever since. Food is authentic to what it is claimed to be, service is good, and the music is even better. Good mix of options on the menu. Recommend!

They change the Tejas chicken. It is now breaded. Please bring back the old Teja's. These are nasty..

Ask the Community - Border Cafe

Have they brought back their pre-covid menu yet? the menu now is horrible.

No I can't answer that. I would call and ask the hosts

When are you getting the quesadillas back?

Never. "Due to COVID" they are gone.

Tl;dr good service, flavor, and quality at a reasonable price…read more Came here for dinner for 3 on a Tuesday night. No wait when we got there but surprisingly pretty busy with multiple large parties. Sits in a large strip mall so there's plenty of parking and is easy to get to. Was our first time here and Sarah was very patient explaining everything to us and was great in general. We ordered the 3lb combo seafood combo which comes with two sides. Seafood orders can be ordered by 1/2 pounds which let us choose everything we wanted to try: head on shrimp, head off shrimp, calamari, scallops, and snow crab which was all super fresh. In general. we got the capt loui sauce at medium spicy. taste was great but A LOT of butter. Medium spice didn't have much of a kick. But even the two sides were great. Fries were super crispy. Try dipping both of them in the capt loui sauce! The 3lbs combo was just enough food for the three of us. Overall, had a great dinner. would definitely come back again!

We arrived around 6:30 PM and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Our waiter mentioned that wait times are typically longer during the summer months. The good news is that there are several shops nearby, so you can easily spend the time browsing while you wait. The service was excellent--our waiter was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. While the food is a bit pricey, the quality and flavor make it well worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back again.

If you stick with the seafood, you're going to have a great meal. That said, keep in mind it is a seafood restaurant. They have chicken wings on the menu, we figured we'd get them to share until the food came out.. They were honestly terrible. The order we received came with six extremely small, overcooked pieces that were so dry and tough looking they weren't even edible. Just looking at them we didn't bother as they weren't at all appetizing. I'm not sure if it was a bad day, a supply issue, or something else entirely, but they were a complete miss. Speaking of, service can be hit or miss as well. This past weekend, we had a wonderful server who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. The visit before that, however, was the exact opposite. Our server--who seemed to be either a manager or assistant manager--spent nearly all of his time chatting up a table of women, clearly trying to get phone numbers. Trying to get his attention for anything felt like a major inconvenience. What motivated me to write this today is that not only was the service good on our latest visit, but we also tried the fried seafood instead of the usual seafood boil--and it was absolutely excellent, and not at all expensive. Both the fried shrimp plate and the fried clam plate were outstanding. If you haven't tried their fried options, or not in the mood to put on gloves and dig into a seafood boil, don't sleep on their fried seafood. It was surprisingly impressive. Overall: great seafood, inconsistent service, avoid the wings entirely, and definitely give the fried dishes a try.

Recently I was craving seafood BIG TIME. As a native Mainer who has lived in the area now for over…read more15 years, it can be tough to find places that serve "traditional" lobster dinners. (Typically consist of steamers, lobster, a baked potato and some corn on the cob if you're lucky). My husband found Turner's while doing a search for a place that would come close to giving me what I was looking for, and they delivered! We started off with the steamers. They're to die for... so tender, no sand in the bellies, and the broth? OOH the broth. It's delectable. It adds flavor that complements the clams perfectly (doesn't overwhelm them at all). My hard shell lobster was incredibly delicious. I'm usually a soft shell gal, but I will take whatever is offered - as long as the meat isn't tough, I'm fine to do the extra work. (It's part of the fun). The tail was split, which is helpful for people who don't know their way around a lobster- for me, I'd prefer it whole, so that's the only (extremely small!) thing I'd change next time. My baked potato and carrots were tasty and the waitress was attentive, kind, and she also had a sense of humor. My husband and I had an awesome evening, and we will be back!

It's your basic Italian seafood place. There is a singular type of clientele inside, which tells you how your experience will go. We got tuna "tacos" (more like crudo) as appetizers. This was the best part of the night. The tuna was delicious. For our mains, I got the New England Bouillabaisse and my friend got a fish dish. The food was on the salty side, it's great to have this down the road instead of having to go down to north end. We ended the night with the flourless cake. Our server was very friendly! But the food was just ok. Drive a little farther and get some Mexico Lindo instead.
