I walked in and was greeted and 2 gentleman helped me as I was going to order 4 pounds of brisket and then after telling them what I wanted to do they recommended a chuck roast and that was exactly correct! I definitely mixed up the meat I needed to get but they helped. The prices were fantastic and they had such an assortment of meats to get their selection looked great! They were even spitting at this innocent individual. As a liberal who marched for civil rights and against the war in Vietnam during the 1960s and 1970s, I was horrified. Blaming Clancy's is ignorant, and an integral part of how this country is dismantling. They also have a variety of items such as canned goods, pasta, eggs, etc. on the shelves opposite the meat counter. The entire place is quite sunny, pleasant, and cozy. On the other side is the eat-in, take-out deli sandwiches, that are made to order. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The bread is freshly made (crispy baguette type) and you have a choice of Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Tuna Salad, Smoked Ham, or Corned Beef. All sandwiches are $16.50 each (including tax) and come with a choice of mayonnaise, spicy stone ground mustard, red leaf lettuce, thin sliced red onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, raw grated horseradish, pickled jalapeno, and roasted bell pepper. The default includes all toppings so if you don't want everything, be sure to specify what you do NOT want. Surprisingly, they do not carry any diet soda, nor do they stock any national brands (only local pop). There is a large menu on the wall, and you order at the counter and pick up the order (no table service). The food was attractively presented, and very, very good. My only gripe (besides the lack of diet pop) is that it's on the expensive side for lunch. Two sandwiches, a couple of bags of chips, and a couple of cans of pop will easily top $40, although I'd say the quality is top-notch.

We didnt know that the water cost money until someone later asked if we wanted another bottle or just tap water and the bottle was on the bill. They usually bring over bread and mashed potatoes and after being there a while, I had to ask for this and the bread wasnt fresh. The salad bar was closing shortly after we got there and staff made an announcement "the salad bar will be closing in 5 minutes so if you want something, go get it". I understood, but it just came off rude. They did come over with the meat very quickly, like almost lining up at our table and thats when I checked to see what time they closed.
