This is a nice Vision Express location, located on the lower level of the Trafford Centre, I have…read morevisited this store a couple of times over the years, and more recently I actually visited this store and returned to becoming a customer with Vision Express, down to their in-store environment and glasses selection. The store has been refurbished within the past year or two, meeting the new Vision Express branding, the new logo and interior of the store look much more sleek and modern overall. One thing I like about this store, is they have a fantastic selection of designer frames, including brands such as Gucci, Tom Ford, Hugo Boss and Burberry, without locking them down behind a key, this makes the in-store experience much simpler and interactive, as you can try on glasses in your own time, without having a staff member standing over you and chatting, it's much more relaxing, independent and peaceful - This is a huge advantage over my local Vision Express at Manchester Arndale, which seems to lock them all away. My biggest criticism with the selection of eyewear overall would be the need to move towards frames, that have thick temple tips, I'm not sure if this is the way fashion is going, but I find them to be really uncomfortable, and the selection with the thinner rims is much less. The staff here seemed friendly and knowledgeable, and I also appreciate Vision Express' return policy, I was originally unhappy with the discomfort of my original glasses, caused by the thick temple tips and weight, and I was able to swap my glasses over, paying just the difference in the cost of the frame, no questions asked. The prices for designer frames are also competitive compared to high-street rivals, I actually found them cheaper compared to Boots nearby, and buying direct with some manufacturers such as Oakley (The cost of buying lenses directly from Oakley is insane!) 4* - Overall, this Vision Express selection has good service, competitive pricing and a good returns policy, a few minor flaws, but they've helped won my custom over, and I hope it will continue.

It was so refreshing to sit and be presented with beautiful glasses chosen to suit my face, personality and profession rather than stand alone staring at a wall of homogenous frames without guidance. I'm not going to say it was easy, because deciding between the exquisite frames was far from it. To say that I'm happy with my new spex is an understatement. The staff are friendly and attentive and do a fantastic job. Being only a small independent place there isn't room to have thousands of frames like the major chains, but the frames they do have are very reasonably priced and are good quality. They even have designer frames. Also, standard lenses are included in the price of the frames. Highly recommended.

I walked into Seeworld and was ignored, not even a friendly smile was directed at me as I entered. I began to look round at the frames available, trying a few on as you do. After about 10 minutes I was greeted with an almost accusatory "Can I help you?" I explained that I was looking for frames and that I had been elsewhere for an eye test and I was treated like some sort of traitor for not coming to them for an eye test. I was then left to browse further. The range of frames on offer was a little limited. There was nothing that stood out and everything seemed quite cheap looking and overpriced. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I have never and will never go back.

They often have some good sales on the frames & also some good offers on eye tests. The staff are very knowledgeable. Once ordered the glasses take about a week to arrive which I have found is average for opticians. I've never had any problems with the glasses & they fit them well when you go to collect them. They always give you a case & some spare cloths. They offer a good range of frames from the basic NHS frames to high end designer frames. You can be assured if you go here you will get good service & a pair of glasses you are more than happy with. I have found the optician to be especially good with children & is very patient.
