They sell sofas, coffee tables, etc. and it's actually pretty nice stuff (not being cruel or anything, but County Road tends to be known for cheap, crappy shops.) If you're looking for something nice for your living room but you can't afford to go to one of the big name stores, this place offers some decent stuff at decent prices. They also sell a small amount of home décor items such as vases and decorative bowls.

I have bought several pieces of furniture from there and the prices are reasonable in comparison to some of the big stores in town. I think the furniture and mirrors are totally funky and bang up to date. My last buy was a red glass dining table that looks amazing. The two guys that run it are real gentlemen aswell and totally helpfull. I give it overall 10/10.

They sell a good range of styles and have a good range of prices to match. I've bought a few things from HPJ and they've always been OK for the price but not lasted very long. If you want an item to match an outfit then this is a good place, but don't expect to purchase a family heirloom here.

I think the shop caters well for most, if not all occasions including, as Megan C. pointed out, religious occasions such as christenings and communions, this is a great advantage as there are very few stores offering this, especially in Bootle where card shops themselves are limited to Clinton's and Marks and Spencer's. What I found kind of strange were the number of Catholic items. Perhaps it's a strongly Catholic area of town? It's not a strictly religious card shop, but there were a great number of little Catholic medallions/tokens and figurines. All the same, if you need a card, not a bad little place to nip in.
