We live a the lake and have been to Boot Jack just about every week since they have opened and we love it. The food is great, the service is always really good and it is just a wonderful atmosphere. The place is nice, however, the service is less than desirable and the options and pricing could use a slight improvement. After my experiences and exchanging experiences with other locals, you will not see me at this place. It's rather unfortunate that many locals have not had a good experience here considering the locals may be the ones keeping this joint afloat. Many have experienced severely under cooked or over cooked food, and after complaint still finding it on the bill with no desire to remove it from waitress/management. Never in my life have I heard of a restaurant charging a customer for (literally ice cold) under cooked chicken wings on top of the ones they replaced the under cooked ones with! read more

Great food!!! We stopped by here after driving around the lake. We heard that they have chicken livers. I am dying to some livers. We ordered fried livers ND fried cheese curds. OMG!!! You must try. Then we ordered Pulled chicken sandwich, corn chowder, and chilli and a side of Onion Rings. Wow.... so delicious. Not to mention if you love beers, they have plenty for you to try too. read more

Do not bother! Very noisy...small menu and when you ask for an entree, they "dont have it today"!! Water tastes like lake water! Didnt have the draft beers they had on drink menu...crowd of people standing near our table talking so loudly, couldn't hear ourselves! Food portions small, service slow! read more

Had Bootjack burger and fries the burger was excellent with the bacon jam did not need to put anything else on it. One drawback my son ordered his medium rare and both came well done. Fries were excellent and cooked perfectly. Domestic Draft beer is priced too high would have had two if cheaper. I will return though. read more

This is a regular stop for us. We enjoy the atmosphere and the people. Food is good. Menu has changed and it is for the better. Not a lot of options in this area so this is my top pick. read more

We went to Boot Jacks for a family dinner last night and was very disappointed. One member ordered two appetizers and only received one he place an order for. RED FLAG #1 We asked for some ice water as well. Totally gross, their tap water tasted like "lake or hose" water. RED FLAG #2 The waitress took our dinner orders then we waited and waited. Another group came in after us and was served their food first, rather frustrated at this point. RED FLAG #3 Once we finally got our food, my husband's chicken sandwich was missing the chicken! We told the waitress and she went to check with someone. She came back, apologize for the error and offered him a free beer. WTH..his meal should have been free and/or at least discounted!! RED FLAG #4 Another member ordered their "creamy" mac-n-cheese with bacon..let's just say it was overcooked, burnt, stuck to the iron skillet and dry as a bone. She took it home to feed the dog. RED FLAG #5 Which she should have been compensated as well...but nothing. Another example of unproperly trained cooks. To the owner and manager...you'd better get your business in order, as you just lost eight customers and more will follow. With poor food, beverages and customer service, your business could possibly close the doors faster than you opened! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!! read more

Potentially one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had!! Went on a Tuesday with a group of 6 adults and 4 kids. They only had 2 people working the floor which I guess we should have known it wasn't going to be good. We counted 5 groups come in behind us and get their food well before we did. We sat for at least an hour an a half before getting our food, and within that hour and a half the waitress never came to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything. The perch dinner was terrible; undercooked, greasy, must DO NOT ORDER IT!! The lumberjack sandwich was also terrible. It was supposed to have herb mayo which it didn't, it was so dry that it must have been sitting for a long time. The chicken breast on it was completely breading. Our 6th meal never came and when we asked about it they said it was on its way.. After waiting another 20+ minutes we told them to cancel that meal, then talking with the lady behind the bar she said the meal was never entered to be made. Overall a pathetic experience, we will not be going back. read more

Finally tried Boot Jack Tavern today. Absolutely loved it! Will be back whenever in the area. My wife and I shared the Lumberjack sandwich and each of us ordered our own cup of chili. Great! Loved the onion rings as well as the fried pickle chips...Service is amazing as well. read more

Wife and I stopped here on Saturday just looking for someplace to go to get out of the house. We were very pleased with our choice. We got seated just in time to see the running of the Kentucky Derby (BONUS) Sat at the bar and had a couple of beers and some appetizers. We were very comfortable and well taken care of. Staff and other patrons were very nice. we ordered some onion rings that were very tasty and then some cheese curds and they were awesome. We got to talking to some other folks sitting at the bar and the food they ordered all looked great. We decided that we would have to come back soon for dinner soon. read more

Awesome food and decent prices. We are from Ohio and visiting family at Wamplers and wanted something new. This place looked great and had a good selection of drafts so we came to check it out and it didn't disappoint. Good selection of drafts and the food was amazing. Get the fried cheese curls. They are beer battered and delicious. I got the Reuben and my BF the pulled pork sandwich. Both of which were super tasty and came with fries that were nice and crispy. Our server was nice and attentive too. We came between lunch and dinner so it was kind of slow and quiet but that's okay. We would totally recommend to our family and friends! read more

The Bootjack Burger was fabulous. The bacon jam really adds great flavor. Paired wth an ice cold Oberon, this was a very enjoyable meal. Everyone else at my table was very happy with their food and their craft brews. Service was prompt. read more
