People walking around shirtless, dripping sweat, stinking, in bare feet, only socks, crocs, and Teva sandles. Nasty. Old dilapidated and low quality dumbbells, only 2 old treadmills and a few of the manual treadmills, no fixed weight barbells, a bathroom falling apart with the toilet bowl cover hanging on by one hinge. No air conditioning. Hot and smelly. Humid atmosphere. Couldn't draw up a worse gym in my imagination. To me it's 1 star but I guess to cross fit cultists this is what they like. Only a few smoothie choices and no chicken wraps or anything in their nutrition bar or whatever it's called. If you know how to work out and don't need or want a trainer or group then this place is definitely not for you. They do an incredible job on marketing and must edit photos or take superb angles like a catfish on tinder. Almost thinking they pay influencers to hype this place up. Either way I'd prefer the most basic Planet Fitness or Crunch 100x over this. In fact I'd rather get chubby and not work out over having to work out in an environment like this again.

My list: **Music is WAY WAY too loud: I try to listen to the news in my ear pods and can't even hear it. I give up. Not sure about other times of the day but if you go at 5am before work, beware! For safety reasons, we should not have to wear huge headphones to block out noise. What if there was an emergency? Half the people wouldn't hear it. Maybe they are wearing full headphones because they like them, but I'd really tend to think it's due to drowning out the morning music level. I am SO glad to see another review here about the ridiculous music level!!! **Leg Extension/Leg Crunch Machines: Certainly not enough of these (only one each as far as I know) and people are always, always waiting for them. One is actually down right now, going on a week. **For the size of the gym, the stretching area was designed way too small. This gym is pretty darn big and holds a lot of folks. This area is just too small. I've had to wait for it myself, especially in early mornings. **TVs: To quote someone else there are no TVs at the individual machines, so you're forced to watch whatever they have on. Having Direct TV on your phone won't help because you won't be able to hear it. Sigh. Overall. I do like this gym and its location, but based on the above, it's NOT my first choice.

I want to share my experience as a long-time member of this gym. There is a male member who…read morerepeatedly engages in inappropriate behavior -- including rubbing his genitals on equipment and weights, getting uncomfortably close to women while they work out, and making unwanted advances (such as asking for my number and to "hang out"). I, along with other women, have reported this behavior to management on multiple occasions. Despite our complaints, this individual is still allowed to come to the gym. As a woman, this makes me feel unsafe and extremely uncomfortable every time I try to work out here. What's worse is that when I expressed how uncomfortable I was after seeing him there again, the general manager actually got upset with me instead of addressing the problem. It is very disappointing that the management has not taken stronger action to protect their members. A gym should be a safe and respectful environment for everyone, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. Now I'm left having to decide whether to cancel my membership altogether or travel farther every day just to work out somewhere I feel safe -- and even then, I'm forced to be on guard and try to avoid him.

I was visiting Austin for the weekend and didn't have much planned for Saturday morning. When I…read morewoke up and checked Classpass, I saw that there was a CrossFit class nearby, so I said why not and signed up. Showed up 10 minutes before class, and Rob welcomed me to the gym. When I visited, we had a thorough warmup, followed by 25 minutes of partner AMRAP. I do HIIT classes throughout the week at my gym in Dallas, so I was familiar with most of the exercises, but Rob provided modifications for movements I was not comfortable with. Definitely give his class a shot if you're in the area! Lots of fun, and people in the class were really chill and easy to talk to!

I have deemed myself a 'casual crossfitter,' using this to shake up my normal routine, and it's worked really well. There are also some more serious athletes who work out here day in and day out, training for competitions, etc. Each class is what you make it and the staff gives you the tools and encouragement to meet goals. Drop in rates, class packages, and at one time they had a 6 wk challenge that included a nutrition plan. Its nice that the owner is here every day and if you're visiting or just want to do a ~3 or ~6 month pass, he's able to work with you. If you're looking for a new challenge, just starting out, want to make a change, or be an overachiever, I'd encourage you to check this place out.

I received a guest pass for a cycle workout from my Yelp friend Airon Andrews…read more I was impressed with the gym. There are so many amenities...snack shop, free towels, hydro massage chairs, Normatek compression boots, cold therapy chairs, pool, and real massages. The cycle class by dynamic instructor David Garza was quite a workout! It was only 30 minutes long but energy packed! I was familiar with the Soul Cycle type classes, which include push-ups while cycling. But this class introduced dance style moves, such as swaying hips. It was a real dance party! I was exhausted but feeling great afterwards. We partook of the Normatek compression boots, which were good therapy for my recently injured knee. The hydro massage chairs were taken, so we skipped that. All in all, this high end gym was a great experience. I would join, except my insurance does not cover the gym because it is considered "premium."
