When we started working together the workouts were awesome but I wasn't seeing the results I wanted because my diet and lifestyle was not changing.

I didn't enjoy it and never felt like got any benefits from it. I was a little skeptical about Starting Strength because of my previous experience gyms. That changed after working out there for a couple of months. I felt stronger, my back pain was getting better and I was having fun. The coaches are fantastic. They are watching to ensure you are lifting properly and making sure that you progress in your weight lifting. The coaches are there to make sure you are successful. Being somewhat of an introvert I was skeptical of the class atmosphere but I have found that to be a benefit. You can learn from the members who have been doing this a while and it is fun to watch the new members come in and start out and progress. Between the coaches and the other members and the success I have had with my training it encourages me to make every session even on the days when I am dog ass tired, which is one of the keys to succeeding in weight training, to be consistent. I would encourage anyone who is looking to get stronger no matter your age to check out Starting Strength. It is well worth the money. The only person who can get you stronger is you but you need help. You need a coach to help you through the process and I have found there is no better place for this than Starting Strength.

When I dropped in Mark Rippetoe was even there, told me I have scoliosis (was unaware...) and helped correct my squat form to compensate for that. The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. You're not intimated but you're also motivated. Personal tip: If Lateef doesn't immediately respond to your email just email again. He's an actual owner hustler as he teaches so many of his classes and does a lot of personal training and he doesn't have an assistant so he juggles it all on his own. Fit Austin is totally worth it so don't get upset just send a follow up and he will respond. It's worth it!!!!

I have an unlimited membership for $150 a month where I can go every day to the gym. They have different packages and price points though. Some people have told me my package is expensive and if you are one of those people, rearrange your budget so that you can come to Fit Austin. Seriously, I love this place and you get your money's worth! The classes are 45 minutes with a warm up and cool down and they are intense (in a good way). They are small and the trainers are great! The classes are always different and work different parts of your body. You will never get bored with the classes here! It really is almost like personal training without the high budget. Although from the reviews here and what I have heard, Lateef and the rest of the trainers are amazing at personal training. I have to give a shout out to Lane LeBlanc who is currently a trainer there. She is super great, friendly, very encouraging and knowledgeable. I always look forward to any class with her! You have many time options every day for the classes and everyone there is friendly. They have bathrooms, a water bottle fill up station and showers if needed and a new sauna! If you are looking for a gym, don't look any further. Whether you need personal training or want to go to classes, this is the place for you!

Despite having already paid for a class, I was abruptly asked to leave. I was told I should seek a "Hispanic Pilates class" instead, implying I didn't belong there due to perceived race or ethnicity. This comment was not only unprofessional, but also deeply troubling. Regardless of anyone's cultural background, fitness spaces should be inclusive, welcoming, and respectful. It's especially disheartening that such outdated, discriminatory attitudes are still present today. What should have been a positive, health-centered experience quickly turned into one that left me questioning the values upheld by this establishment. I believe in treating others with dignity and fairness, and I hope this review encourages B Pilates to reflect on how they engage with and treat all clients--especially when it comes to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.

I did manage to injure the muscles around my hip while on the reformer which lasted a few weeks. I didn't seek medical consult but imagine it was hyperextended. One observation is that there is frequent communication when this business is trying to sell classes via phone, email, text etc. However, there is zero communication when it comes to reminding customers of upcoming booked classes. I missed two 1:1 sessions (~$200). I wish there was a reminder system like ClassPass has, a less rigid cancelation policy, or at least a courtesy text with the same effort they make as when they're texting to sell.
