Said I'd get a discount if I put down some information, and I had to stop him once he got to my SSN. Second time: Some lady yelled at me cause I went into an (open) area that was near a construction zone. Was super unfriendly and when I said I was looking for a bathroom she answered with tons of attitude saying there's no bathrooms open. I cannot recommend shopping here. It's poor service and you'd be better off just finding their stuff for cheaper on Amazon.

I went to explore the new Jax recently, to see if her quote held true. My first impression was that they really did a nice job with the conversion. The only trace of the building's past is the old floor tiles, but that is nitpicking. Everything else is fresh and new, if you didn't look down you would never know. I didn't see a firearms counter, so it is either well hidden or they haven't got one. The cafe area is not open yet, but looks really nice. And I have never seen such a variety of candy in my life (apart from that one time that reclusive candy maker hid a ticket inside my candy bar and I got to tour his factory, watch some weird musical numbers, and eventually took over the factory from him). I want to especially call out Ilyssa, who was the Department Manager for the Work and Western Wear area. The very moment I stepped into her domain, she was there to offer assistance. She immediately pointed out their special Labor Day sales, and darn it if I didn't leave her section feeling like I wanted some Work and/or Western Wear. All around a super fun place, so get there already! A supreme court justice can't be wrong! OK I made that quote up myself. But seriously, go to the new Jax.

I bought boots from Whitesides in Greeley and I wore them twice. I noticed a big glob of glue in…read more two places on each boot at the seam of the sole and barely touched it and it came off exposing where the seam of the sole was coming apart from the the boot. I wear these for dancing so I knew they would not last well. I took them back to the store and I was immediately told that because I wore them I could not return them or exchange them. I had brought my receipt, the box, and everything for the boots. The employees were extremely rude and the manager took one of the boots back to a male employee who tried to tell me the boots were fine and it didn't matter because it looked like I had wore them alot and since I wore them outside they would not take them back. I told him I would make sure that people were aware of their purchases there and how even when they sold defective boots they could not be returned. He was extremely rude and condescending, and his hands were shaking like a little chihuahua as he put the cardboard back in the boots. He obviously knew that the boots were defective and he didn't like being called out. These were only one of many boots I had purchased through my life and it completely baffles me that a store would not return a boot they sold that was obviously defective, and on top of that treat a customer so rude. I would stick to Boot Barn or somewhere else before I would ever purchase anything from this store again. They obviously sold a boot they knew was defective by the big glob of glue they put on it to hide the defect and then refused to exchange it. I have never had a problem returning a boot that I had a problem with before worn or not. You're definitely better off staying away from this store if you don't want to waste your money. I would never trust these people to stand behind their product which makes me wonder about their products.

This is my fist Yelp review ever, but felt compelled to share my disappointment after shopping there yesterday afternoon, walking around the store with an arm full of clothes, no other customers in the store yet I was never asked if I needed a dressing room. Took it upon myself to get my own dressing room, tried on 10 items, walked out and 2 employees were standing in the doorway to the dressing rooms talking and didn't acknowledge me. In todays world stores are closing daily due to more internet shopping. I personally committed myself to do my Christmas shopping in Fort Collins this year, but will share with my husband to buy any Athleta items online instead of from the Fort Collins Athleta.

Most of the girls are really wonderful--there is one that is WAY pushy (She's foreign...reminds me a lot of the vendors in the market in Djibouti, Africa, actually) and if she's there, I will often skip stopping in and come back another time. But in general...cute clothes (think 20-something), good value. Get the credit card (but don't carry a balance on it, steep interest!) for the coupons...they're worth it. ;) Love when stuff like this happens (true story!): Went in and spent $11. The haul? Two pairs of jeans, a cute dress, bolero, and a cute pair of heels. How? Take $10 card (you get $10 off for filling up a punch card, you get one punch for every $10 you spend), a coupon (20% off) and an awesome clearance sale (take an additional 40% off marked prices). Only problem I've had so far? Occasionally they forget the anti-theft devices. But if you bring it back in, they take it off and give you a generous coupon to use on your next purchase. ...okay, one other problem. I tend to have to double check and make sure I don't already own various articles of clothing...my husband makes me shop "The Peter Store" (as in, the spare bedroom closet!) before I can go shopping... :) Worth the stop in the dying Twin Peaks Mall.
