The woman who let me into the dressing room, Emily, was super friendly and helpful. I asked her opinion on a couple things and she ended up searching for a different jacket for me (4 options). I selected the one I liked best. Then I had haute cash, so I saved a bunch of money and was super happy. I was really impressed with Emily and the staff at Torrid. There were four employees there and each one of them talked to me at some point while I was in the store. It was a really good experience.

When you first enter, you're welcomed into a nice open space that is continued down the expansive hall. It has almost a library feel to it with its sectioned areas, dark wood shelving, and well planned "book" and "bulb" displays. The aesthetic is beautiful, and is what I've come to expect from the brand. Like I mentioned in my tip, the store has twice the selection and twice the amount of product. It's already, in my opinion, better than the mall location, but I say that only because there's more and more. The people stayed the same, and they're still just as helpful. The pricing is the norm for the brand, but there are always sales upon sales at the store (if you didn't know already). Anywho, not much more to say really. A nice new location, and this location is up there with many of its bigger sister stores. It's now located in the great open outdoor mall at Uptown. A perfect fit for the brand, and now a great fit for Albuquerque.

The pricing was pretty fair too as far as compared to other retail stores. My problem with this store is definitely concerning it's customer service, or lack their of. Upon entering the store, the cashier greeted us while looking at her phone. After I returned the greeting, she didn't make any indication she heard me and continued to scroll through her mobile device. I should mention also that she didn't have any customers she was waiting on at her register, so it's not as if she was busy. As I was leaving the store, I said goodbye to the young lady and wished her a good day, and she didn't say anything. Rather, she just looked at the ground pretending not to hear me. I think the management might need to train the new employees a little better on their customer service skills, but their shoe selection really is top notch. So if your looking for quality shoes, but don't care much about being catered to, definitely come by the Shoe Department at Coronado.
