I am a big juice fan. I watched the documentary 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead' and went out and bought a juicer the very next day! (I'd like to add it still gets used, although it does get relegated to the back of the cupboard sometimes, it's such a pain in the @ss to clean!!)
On days when I'm in town and I need a bit of a boost, I'll head to the juice bar. It's not something I buy too often as they are quite pricey (around £5 a juice) but I guess it is convenient, because making your own juices can be a pretty laborious task.
I usually opt for anything with pineapple, passionfuit and orange, and get an extra shot of wheatgrass for 50p. The servings are pretty large so that's a plus side.
You can actually see the juices being made so you can be sure there's no junk going in there - I've seen some places in town cheat by putting OJ in with the juices which kind of defeats the object of being healthy as it's full of added sugar? You can be sure you're getting 100% whole pieces of fruit being juiced in to your drink. read more
