Doctor Boone is a very caring doctor, listens to your ailments, is very understanding and does an outstanding job. However, his staff is another story. He had an implant appointment this morning at 9. The dental office coordinated the day of the surgery requirements with Dr. Boone's office. A blood draw was needed before surgery. Dr. Boone's office said that the request for the blood draw was sent. The request was not at the lab. We called Dr Boone's office to send the request. They said it would take 30 minutes before they can do this. So, we called the dentist. The dental Office was able to do this, it, it took another 45 minutes. So, we were an hour late to the implant surgery. Both the dentist and anesthesiologist were waiting for him. This is not the first time that Dr. Boone's office was lacking in the follow through of requested paperwork. Before this, we asked Dr. Boone's.office to fill out paperwork. I was told by them that it was done. Yet, I needed to follow up again because it was not done. The office staff is inefficient and unorganized. Maybe they need proper training or hire more staff. I wish I could leave two reviews. One for Dr. Boone (Five star - super knowledgeable cool guy), and another (ZERO STAR) for his Wildly sub-par office staff!! So I call in the middle of the day (around 3:30PM) and I try booking an appointment, but the woman on the other end says she's "just the answering service". She suggested I call them back since it's the middle of the day. I did and the same thing happened. Apparently, the office staff "weren't in the mood" to do any work (you know, BOOK APPOINTMENTS!?!) and so just let the phone roll over cause "who gives a F##**". Dr. Boone, if you read this PLEASE fire your office staff!! Both you AND your patients deserve better!!!! read more

I had no issues with the staff like others are saying. I had an issue with the cleanliness of this place. Everything is old, dusty and rusty. They didn't even use the paper on the table. The room was full of supplies and clutter. I was praying none of those instruments would be used on me. How is that even legal to be dirty? The Doc himself probably needs to retire. I don't think he can offer any modern day medical advice and it looks like he doesn't really care anymore. read more

Came here from a recommendation and he is the nicest doctor. The office itself could use some updating, but the staff and Dr. Boone were friendly. He also didn't seem to want to rush me out of there and took his time and addressed my questions. Even giving me some helpful suggestions for healthy living. It's a hit or miss place for scheduling an appointment. He's still very old school, so I would avoid if you have a muscle or tendon issue simply because he isn't an advocate for physical therapy. He'll tell you that all muscle or tendon issues can be fixed with rest and ice. He will not consider the fact that you may have severely hurt yourself/torn something. He won't provide any advice on how to get back to full strength. So, expect reinjury to occur. read more

He will not consider prescribing ivermectin and dismissed it as a unproven treatment for Covid-19 nor will he allow a blood test to confirm Covid-19 antibody levels in your blood. Other medical services were professional; staff is very efficient. read more

After my visit with Dr. Boone today I do not plan to come to him ever again. He's been my primary physician since I was a kid & I'm 25 now. I came in to get an ongoing rash checked out on my hands and the first thing he asked me was if I was vaccinated. Told him I wasn't and then he started explaining how he doesn't understand why people aren't getting vaccinated and that I have a higher chance of getting in an accident in my car than having a negative effect from the vaccine. If i wanted his opinion on an experimental drug that has been giving all kinds of people negative effects I would've asked. He seemed to be annoyed while giving his explanation of it as well which made me uncomfortable. I thought doctors are suppose to make you feel better? After we started to talk about the rash on my hands I let him know that I've seen other doctors & for this and they've been prescribing me ointments with steroids in them and they haven't been working. They've actually been making it worse! Let him know that I seen a dermatologist yesterday and she told me that it's obvious that the ointments aren't working so she was going to try a different treatment. So what does Dr. Boone suggest? To give me an even stronger steroid!! What an intelligent decision of his.. smh. I also asked if it was possible to fill out paper work for me to go on disability from work because I can't use my hands. Both of hands are covered in this rash, my skin is so dry and cracking super deep, they're itching out of my mind, and it's stressing me tf out!! His response was that he doesn't think this is disabling me in any way since I'm still able to breath and walk around fine so he'll call my work and see what they can do. I told him that I'm on LOA right now because my work has nothing for me to do! All I want is some time off of work to let my hands heal. Then he tells me that my hands could be like this for another year so do I expect to just be on disability for that time? Like wtf?!?! If it's bothering me on a daily basis like this then yea I hope so! I'm in pain doc and I need help!! I don't need you to keep prescribing me things that do not work. Very disappointed in my experience today. Asked the ladies at the front desk to give me a copy of everything told to me from Dr. Boone during my visit today and a copy of my medical records. I don't think it's right to be treated the way I did today. If you're looking into trying out this Dr. Boone I do NOT recommend. Rude and don't show any signs of caring what the patients concerns are or willing to help. Can't get prescriptions filled or be seen in a timely manner. I called Boone's office in mid July 2018 because I was between docs. I asked if Dr. Boone was accepting new patients, he was.. we were on the phone about twenty minutes. At the end the receptionist said, "he does not accept patients being treated for ADD, ADHD, Depression, .. (and several other mental health conditions I do not recall)." I said I only need the doctor for annual checkups, internal medicine, and never anything related to mental health. I was shockingly turned away!! What about the Hippocratic Oath, doctor?! I received treatment for a viral infection going around and felt better within days. Dr. Boone's attentiveness, experience and suggestions are what I love most about going to him. Dr. Boone is rocks, staff is cool, he listens to you, it doesn't feel rushed, I haven't had a doctor in a while that I want to go back to until now. I would give a 5, but CVS has been trying to get my allergy medicine refilled and they haven't replied back to them, now I'm allergenic and pissed off so he gets 4 stars. Gary Boone is a god send. for some of the( very few ) negative comments about Dr. Boone's perhaps over worked staff,...well, are you here to see the doctor with short wait, prompt short appointment wait time or are you here to DATE HIS STAFF??? The doctor here is nice but the staff is so rude. When you call they put you on hold forever and they are super rude. The staff acts annoyed when you call to have anything done. Also when you need a prescription refilled its hell to have them fax anything to the pharmacy and back. I have to call them many times to check in to see if they are doing it. They act like you are bothering them. The doctor seems very smart and caring to bad the staff is so rude. The office here is also very out dated and needs new furniture and carpet and when I am paying cash or a lot for insurance I want to be in a nice environment. Dr. Boone is great and I've used him for years. However he recently moved his office. I called this morning to try to be seen today because I'm sick and feeling worse by the moment heading into the weekend. The receptionist informed me there was no availability until next week. I said I thought I needed to see someone today, she said ok, take care and hung up. I used to love going to Dr. Boone because I could always be seen same day for illness but I guess not any more. I drove to his office directly from the bay and he was pretty much stitching me up 10 minutes after I got there. I've been going to Dr. Boone whenever I feel sick or if I need some medical attention. I usually could just walk in and I didn't have to wait for a long time to see him. This morning after down with fever for 2 days, I went to see him. Apparently they changed the system. Now they don't take walk-in anymore. Even when theres no other patients waiting in the lobby. The next available appt would be next week. I don't plan when I'm going to get sick nor I want to get sick. That's why the flexibility of walking in was the reason I went to Dr Boone. I can't believe I haven't written a review for Famly Medical Center sooner. This place is amazing. They are affordable, they see you same day, walk in, whatever! If you don't have insurance this is the most affordable place you can come to see an excellent doctor. Gary has become my primary care physician, I have been going to him for years. I am new to the area and called to schedule an appointment to establish a relationship with a general physician in the area. I was refused as a patient due to having a history of anxiety. I was told that if I have or do suffer from depression, anxiety or ADHD that they would not take me on as a patient. I am looking for a doctor who is sympathetic to my physical and emotional well being, I guess its good to find out they aren't willing to help in these areas now vs down the road. I question their integrity given this type of screening process. Guess this is a great doctor if you are in perfect health. I'd prefer a doctor who cares about aiding in all areas of my well being. read more
