We discovered the Bitter Monk through a friend who lives locally. At his recommendation, we visited for the first time about a year ago. This weekend was the third time we've returned. This weekend they were hosting the Wonderland Brew Fest. Live music, at least 30 different brews to chose from, wonderful local pretzel vendor, and a food truck! Absolute heaven! McMinnville is a little piece of heaven just south of Portland... The Bitter Monk makes it just a little more perfect! If you're ever nearby, stop in and enjoy a lovely brew. We sat for quite a while while waiting I observed others get their pizza and salads and their waitstaff asked them if they needed plates or anything else which then the waitstaff brought to them. Our food came and a different younger staffer said inside at the end of the bar you can get silverware and plates if you need them. As we were leaving I said it would have been nice to know we had to grab our own dinnerware while we had all that downtime before the food came. How did we get so lucky that we got to go in and get our supplies but everyone else it was brought to them. They had a place to put dishes outside to but one of the older (not teen) servers offered to take them. I will probably eat there again but it will be to go.
