If you want to spend most of your time in Beavers Bend State Park, it is not too convenient for that. And, don't expect to get a cell phone signal. Wifi is not dependable. So, GREAT place if you want to be "removed," and very pretty. Since there isn't much information, I'll say: there are 8 cabins and they are down an 8-mile long road (Game Preserve Road/Sherman Road) from a point that is about 12 miles north of the state parks. There is a swimming pool, and there is a boat ramp very close by. The "lakefront" is a stretch. You can walk down a trail (gets very steep at the end) to the cove of the lake.

There is a steep grade climb up to the cabins, no issues for a car or truck. All of the cabins have a view. We stayed at the honeymooners cabin number three in the view from the screened in porch was amazing. The porch is where we spent most of our time. We used the Jacuzzi tub in the living room for a good hour of soak time before bed. The queen bed was comfortable for two people. Cabin was clean and spacious enough for us, And had everything we needed including a small refrigerator microwave toaster oven sink. Good size shower in the bathroom. We stayed in cabin 3, Honeymooners. The interior of the cabin is all wood but in really good condition and there was no smell of smoke. We have stayed many places & we usually stay at Petit Jean but we decided to check out Riverview Cabins & Canoes & it turned out to be the best trip to the Arkansas mountains we have ever had. We rented the small cabin for 2 with the hot tub. It was so adorable! The bed was super comfy & the hot tub was amazballs. It was perfect for 2, very romantic & had everything we needed. The first night it rained & we hung out & made veal meatballs. So yummy! We loved the little gas stove & the giant shower. There was also a cute little fireplace & bear rug! So adorable. The hiking in the woods was cool, the canoeing & river was beautiful & the riding stables were well kept. The whole property was very nice. All the Cabins were picture perfect. There are a couple different canoeing trips you can take & you can hike & ride the trails. There is a little town near by you can go have lunch too, we checked that out, it was very cool with some very cool old buildings & a couple fun lunch spots. It is out in BFE, Walmart, grocery stores & liquor stores are like an hours drive away so bring everything you need b4 you get there. The lady that works the check in was very sweet & very kind to us. The clocks sprang forward (daylight saving time) & we overslept the last day bc our bed was that comfy! I called her & she was very cool about it & gave us an extra hour to check out. That was almost 3 months ago & we are still talking about what a great time we had there :)) We can't wait to go back! We went to the beautiful Steinmore. This cabin is very impressive and has plenty of space for everyone. The rooms are decorated nicely, and all the amenities were thought of. My biggest letdown was the beds in the 2 master rooms downstairs. The beds are not of the highest quality and do not have box springs. The beds sit VERY low for the group and make it very difficult to get in and out of. I am 6ft, 230 lbs., and felt like I was sinking into the bed and rolling back toward the headboard. My daughter and her husband slept in the master closet to the kitchen, and they too did not sleep well. The mattresses were not the issue, it was the fact that the mattresses are sitting on planks. Other things that were bothersome are small details and have to do with expectations. * Dusty blinds * Smears on walls * Trashcan was not empty upon arrival * The walls behind the trashcans were dirty * The trash bin drawer was filthy around the lip of the can * Comforters and throw pillows in bedrooms were stained * Only two trash bags were left for a family of 15 for the whole weekend * Christmas plates and décor on the table were dusty- Probably pulled from the storage and set right onto the table * Glasses were greasy and many needed to be rewashed before using These are all small details that will make this cabin more awesome than it was. When you pay almost $3k for a weekend you would expect perfection.
