I've heard great things about this place so I made my fiancé try this today and the first thing I want to say is the owner is SO NICE. Omg he made me smile and is just so genuine and thankful for any support of his business he can get. He gave us complimentary nachos and baklava and wrote on the food boxes, "Thank you for your support!" He even met us outside by our car because he gave us the complimentary nachos, and forgot to give us our flaming hot cheetos bags. The process to order online is so easy and the pickup is easy, as well. You order and pay online and then you can sign up for text or email notifications to let you know when the food is ready. I ordered the Clucker Po Boy, which is a sandwich with chicken tenders. My fiancé ordered the Rage Po Boy which is a buffalo chicken sandwich, and then we ordered fried mac and cheese. I do wish the mac and cheese bites had actual noodles inside because it's more mushy of a texture inside, but they were good nonetheless. The sandwiches were wonderful and fresh! The place inside is cute and clean, and there is a good amount of parking in front of the place, though it can get pretty busy because it is within a strip mall. Overall, we will definitely be back and support this business because it was very good. With the pandemic hurting small businesses, I am happy to support this one! It was my first time here at Boon Cafe and it was the best Cafe I've ever been to. They have huge vegan options and lots of their food is popular. Their Vegan Mac Burger is really great, tasty, and serving is big. I also tried their Crispy Coconut Shrimp with a dip sauce on the side. Everything I got was unique and delicious. Worth trying and fair. Their place is wide, clean, bright, and decent. They have enough tables and chairs for all the customers they have daily. I have been surprised while visiting Chicago how few vegan friendly restaurants there are. I stumbled upon this actually looking for Mediterranean food since that is my favorite. I took one look at the menu and went straight there. While I'm not vegan, I can't eat dairy and eggs which makes a place like this even more attractive. I got the resh kabob and substituted falafel bites in in place of a salad or fries. The vegan sauce is fantastic too. I was very pleased, and food came very quickly. The owner is very kind as well. I stopped before I went to O'Hare and plan to come back in the future next time I'm in town and close to O'Hare. I'm not vegan but ended up trying some of their selection. It's better than any place we've had vegan food in the city and my sister, visiting from LA, said this was her favorite. The selection is expansive. Any craving you have any be conquered by the menu. Hannah recommended we try the Chaan Chaat and it was unbelievable and will definitely live rent free in my head as I return to Kansas City. Our family (which includes 2 teenagers) stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. We were in Rosemont and wanted to try something new and step out of our comfort zone. We were immediately greeted by the owners. They were so friendly and welcoming. We told her we were 4 white folks looking for new flavors and had no idea where to start. She very gladly walked us through the different flavor profiles and helped us all choose something different. The food was just as outstanding as our hosts. We all took turns sampling each others' entrees: dunkt chicken, gulf fries, a shrimp po boy, and mjadara. We had the falafel and samoosa with Boon sauce for appetizers. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The home-brewed iced tea was amazing. It's a small mom and pop that is bursting with flavor and passion. The pride the owners take in their food and their service truly shows. We live 90 minutes away in a good day and we are already taking about when we can come back. I was there yesterday evening for dinner with some friends. The atmosphere was cute and clean. Everything is served in paper trays. There is plastic forks and knives as your utensils. This is not fine dining. I ordered a variety of starters and to my amazement, they were great!!! The felafel is to die for, the coconut shrimp has their true taste and crunch, their fried vegan pastries were crunchy and delicious and their calamari rings has their crunch BUT needed more for the price. They make their own unsweetened tea that was so flavorful I just wanted more. Their food came in nice portions but in paper trays. I had their fried chicken and it left me addicted. It was crispy and had its own flavoring. If you ever get fried foods and it keeps their crunch when it hits your table, they are good! The chef, Hannah is a gem! The owner, Medil came out to greet us and was very friendly and grateful. The service was good, simple and quick. My negative is that they need to stay open an extra hour. I had a dentist appointment across the street from this place and thought I would stop by to grab lunch for my mom and I. Immediately when you walk in you are greeted with smiling faces! The workers were super nice and welcoming. After I ordered my food, I sat down to wait and they gave me a complimentary vegan lentil soup to try to past the time. It was warm and delicious, perfect for the weather outside. I also got a complimentary iced tea on my way out. My mom and I LOVED the food. The portions are HUGE in regards to the prices. It's so great to find a restaurant with vegan options in Norridge. My first time there, I wasn't blown away by the food. It turned out I just ordered the wrong items, because the next time knocked my socks off. The mezza plate is AMAZING. This is like a catered vegetable platter for so cheap ($16 for what would be $30 somewhere else). The channa chaat is a real standout. The loaded hummus is so yummy. Also, I loved their lentils with rice. Basically, the more Palestinian or South Asian dishes are the winners, in my opinion. The prices are also super reasonable. This was one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had. I would've taken a picture if I hadn't wolfed it down so quickly! Me and a friend ordered this for delivery to our hotel from Uber Eats. We both got the vegan cheesy burger with grilled mushrooms and onions and got an order of the vegan Mac and cheese. Holy shit- the burger was perfection. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The burger came wrapped in foil so it was still super hot and toasty which is always a nice touch when getting delivery. If you're vegan and looking for a bomb ass burger, do yourself a favor and check this place out.
