Last night at Boomers Garden was incredibly disappointing.
We had two $55 VIP tickets and were directed onto the deck. For nearly three hours, no employee, server, or staff member ever told us we were in the wrong seats or explained that certain tables required separate $600 reservations.
About 10 minutes before the headliner, the owner's father approached my boyfriend, a disabled combat veteran with a service-related back injury, and demanded to see our tickets before telling him to move. Instead of handling the situation with kindness or professionalism, he spoke to us in a way that was embarrassing and degrading in front of other guests.
When I respectfully tried to understand the situation, he pointed his finger in my face and toward the dark end of the deck as if we didn't deserve an explanation.
We never argued. We never demanded the table. Had someone simply explained the seating when we arrived--or even at any point during the previous three hours--we would have gladly moved.
Instead, a veteran who sacrificed his health serving this country ended up sitting on wet ground through the main performance because there were no other reasonable seating options. No one should be treated that way.
This isn't about a table. It's about respect, communication, and basic human decency. The owner's father was not a good representative of Boomers Garden, and his behavior overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable evening.
I truly hope this is addressed so no one else leaves feeling the way we did. read more
