    Board games plus shuffleboard!
    Jamie M.

Dined alone on a Tuesday work night and was stunned at the quality and value of this quaint location just steps away from my hotel. Easy to sit at the bar/plenty of space, attentive server, with mixed clientele older friends sharing a pizza and must-show-your-ID college crowd coming in for the pitchers at such a great price. I would hang out with friends here if I were local, especially for the shuffleboard. I will be back if working in the area to further explore their inspired menu options.

Pros - Overall prices aren't bad, a bit pricy for some things, but they have great deals and a not-too-bad rewards program, when it works. - Specialty pizza- some of their specialty pizzas are good (Girl Next Door, Porky the Pie, HotBox...) - Consistent quality overall Cons - Can sometimes be very slow for delivery, or not offer it at all (might be because of shortage, but who knows) - Forgotten items (have ordered a few times, and driver has forgotten one item or another. Overall could be worse, and a solid option if you don't want a "big box" pizza like Dominos or Papa Johns.

The cashier also took time to explain pizza ingredients to people new to the United States who appeared to have never eaten pizza. The cashier's friendliness and patience was noted. The pizza is good for college town eating. I tried the new thin crust and it was hot and tasty. The takeaway drink cup is reusable, and they commission new designs and colors every so often. HotBox is good for a quick lunch, dinner, or late night pie.

You have to wind through residential areas to get there. The parking lot is long and thin. A bit difficult getting in and out. Bruno's shares the lot with the brewery. Finding the Bruno's door is a bit difficult. Do I come in the front or the back? Once inside I was shocked at how small the seating area was. There were about 8 tables that would seat 40 people. Dinning in could be a challenge on a busy night. The seating was comfortable and relaxing. There was only one large wall of nostalgia to enjoy - just not the same. The food was just like you remember. The Bruno dough was a bit tough on this occasion. It was hard to bit and chew. The Deluxe pizza was excellent. The sweet sauce is my favorite. The cheese was piked high and thick - delicious!! The crust is thin and cooked with a slight crisp.

Pros - Even though it was a packed place, with a ton of to-go orders, we (group of four) were in and out in an hour and a half, even with two apps, two pizzas, and a stromboli. - Plentiful toppings on our pizza. Tons of good meat and flavor. - Service was good for a packed Friday night crowd, with our waiter checking on us, and refilling drinks before it was needed. Con (kind of) - Price is a bit high, but for a local spot with a HUGE cult following, it could have been worse.

I ordered the Mac and Beer Cheese burger that came with seasoned fries. The burger had a freshly made patty with a brioche bun. Bacon, tomato, red onion, and lettuce came on the burger as well. The mac and beer cheese came grilled on it and seemed to soak up some of the cheese. The one complaint I bad about the burger was that it wasn't cheesy enough. The fries were fantastic! They had some kind of seasoning and went well with the parmesan garlic aioli that came with it. I love sauce and I asked the waitress for a Kickin Bourbon BBQ sauce on the side. That would be the first sauce I put on wings with its sweet but spicy Bourbon kick. The service was good for a Saturday afternoon and the stools are pretty comfy. Plus, I love the TVs every where. I would try the Tap again as the burger was good overall.

Overall, the pizza was good and I would order it again, but, being from Chicago, it's not quite on par with legit Chicago pizza. It is very nice to have a different style of pizza available in town. The location: We dined in the restaurant. Nice, big location on Main St. They could use some ambiance with some decor. Being all about Chicago, adding some Chicago art would be great! Hire a graffiti artist to tag some Chicago murals on those white walls! That would be fire! The service: Our server was ok. I noticed other servers seemed to be more attentive and informative. It was our first time there. We didn't notice the bar from where we were seated. When we gave our order, looking at the menu, we didn't see any alcohol so we thought they didn't have any. While she was taking our order we even mentioned that, shoot, we really wanted a beer and she didn't say anything. After our waitress took our order we noticed the bar. We flagged our waitress down and told her we didn't realize they had alcohol and we'd like to order if she could bring us a drinks menu. She said it was on the table. It was, but we didn't notice because it was on one of those small stand up table menus and the side facing us was weekly specials. The alcohol was listed on the other side. The print is so small and the color is weird so we could barely read it. We could see the dry erase boards posted at the bar for what was on tap from our table, but it was just names with no explanation of what kind of beer. They need to have a bigger, more clear drinks menu that's made available when you sit down, and there needs to be more explanation on their beers, at least telling if it's an IPA or what. Our waitress never came back until our pizza was ready so we never got to order our beer.
