I think this bar has created an idea that might spread around the globe. Pouring your own beer and paying by volume you can decide how much of a taste you want, not what is dictated to you by a server. There are catches. You pay for what you pour, including varieties you don't like. You will pay for this. Your CC activates a 2nd card that is used to activate the spout. You can learn more about by visiting. read more

love this neighborhood bar. so friendly, and the food and drinks are TO DIE FOR. they have cheap strong cocktails, and a self serve beer wall with 7 beers and one cider on tap. they have a huge comfy patio to hang out with friends. their new mexican style food has a huge history in denver. their new chef is from a famous family who had three jack n grill restaurants. they were featured on a famous tv show like diners, drive ins, and dives. it's my favorite green and red chile in colorado. he has been operating a food truck for a while and now has a brick and mortar place (Oct 2024). they have enchiladas, burritos, burgers, quesadillas, sopapillas, all the good native new mexican dishes. please support them because we need them to be successful :-) !! read more

I arrived just before 8pm. I ordered food and opted for the pour your own beer card that tracks by ounces poured. At about 8:25pm I went to pour another beer to wash down the rest of my meal. I was told they were closed. I could not have another beer, but I could stay and finish my food. Food was mediocre. Service terrible to treat a customer this way. I was one of 3 patrons. Maybe the service treatment is why. Yelp shows 10pm closing. Google an 11pm closing. Overpriced beer and food. read more

Yikes...I've never been so uncomfortable in an establishment before. The layout is awkward and unwelcoming. The staff weirdly lingered when taking our order. The food tasted greasy. The drink selection is lacking; they were out of several mixers and cans from the menu, and many of the self-serve beers weren't working. When we got the check, it was split into one for drinks and one for food which is inconvenient. The ceiling fans have black gunk on every blade. I love dive bars, but this whole experience was really unpleasant. read more

So sad the taps weren't working but our server was happy to accommodate us. Went with some of their shots (cucumber and lemon drop) from their machine but the highlight of our trip was our snack of fried zucchini made by their sister food truck, Rockabobbie's. read more

As my wife said, "a great little find." Small spot, limited menu but the food is really good. Family run place. They have a lot of beers on tap and a full bar but only one tequila. read more

Went for trivia last week, and was immediately confused by every choice they made. It's a jumble of long tables for large parties, and small tables smashed up against the large tables for maximum weird seating. While there is plenty of room, it is apparently impossible to utilize it correctly, so I hope you enjoy having a drunken goofball bumping his chair against yours if it's busy! If you want your burger overcooked, and your fries undercooked, this is the place for you! The self pour beer walls are typically for showcasing various breweries, but instead looks like it's curated by the twenty one year old guy who still shows up to high school parties. Want to pour your own Dos Equis while wondering what broken taps once dispensed? Yeah, me either. TL;DR it feels like a movie set of a bar slapped together in an hour with $100 and a visit to goodwill. The food tastes like it was made by a well meaning toddler or a drunk roommate at 3am. read more

Great new place in Denver! The breakfast burritos are luscious and they have nitro cold brew (and lots more brew of the hoppy persuasion) on self-service tap, which is cool! The place has a welcoming, laidback vibe and the employees are down-to -earth and downright friendly. The menu is simple for now but I'm assured they're just getting started and great things are in store. I'll be back for sure! Edit: This used to be Ari's Tavern which has closed. The place has been revamped from head to toe and is under new ownership. read more

Boombox Brew Bar - Cool bar area adorned by a local artist - Brewpubs Near Me - Denver, Colorado

The food is fantastic! I ordered the red chili bowl and one beef taco. Both items were deliciously good-plenty of pork and seasoned perfectly that we ordered a "to go" of the chili for later! Hubby had a burger that he enjoyed very much. His amber beer was also a big hit! The staff were really friendly and immediately made you feel comfortable and welcomed. We will definitely be back-happy to have found this place! read more

Menu needs improvement. No spice options. Service needs improvement. Ambiance was good but T.V needed sound while watching a basketball game. They had no subtitles either. We had no clue what they were saying. Music was only on one side of the bar. Paintings were nice. Atmosphere was clean. Everything was over priced and had only few options. No jalapeños or any type of spicy peppers. Margaritas came with no salt or sugar around the rim. Menu was super small and the food should've been better and food was super crappy. This is Colorado and not New Mexico. Salsa was good and chips were fresh out of the fryer. Beer was good too. What a wonderful experience! We walked to this new neighborhood spot with our toddler in hope's to grab some coffees and food for these tired mama's! We ordered two iced lattes, two burritos (one bacon, one chorizo), and an order of churros! The food was soooo delicious! I'll say the burritos do have a kick, so if you prefer easy on the heat, I'd mention that! Atop of the delicious food, the service was exceptional. Our tiny terrorist of a toddler had a mind of her own that morning and while simultaneously trying to keep her from drinking our caramel dipping sauce from our churros and not from eating firepit rocks, she spilled my nearly full coffee... tired mama, almost to tears. The server kindly brought me a brand new coffee, which was totally unexpected but so appreciated!! Welcome to the neighborhood, glad to have you here! These moms will be back! read more

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to try it out. I was not disappointed at all in the breakfast burrito. Portions are big and the prices are a great value. The place is really cute with a back patio and a fire pit. The inside has a fun decor including garage doors that open up an actual old-school boom boxes. It was too early to drink but I was asking the owner about one of the wines on top so he gave me a sample of it and it was delicious. I'm looking forward to coming back again during the evening and bringing some friends. I hope they do well. It's a great place to come with a group. read more

A hidden gem in our neighborhood. The staff, the food and the drinks. My only negative reviews are the hours, would love it to be a late night spot and I wish they had a better liquor selection but I'm sure all these things will happen over time. I can not say enough about the excellent food ( I highly recommend everything on the menu!! ) green chili is bomb AF and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Keep it up. Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone.
