This is a wonderful little corner bookstore on the west side of Central Park. For such a small…read morelocation they have an incredible amount of inventory. In addition to books there are magazines, comic books, calendars, and puzzles. The owner is very nice and he's almost always the person working there. Like myself, he's a big history fan, and has given me several good suggestions when I've been looking for a new book. I would expect him to know a lot about books, but when I mention a title, he speaks about it like he's read it. He probably has. I've been buying books here for years. Typically I use Amazon to research titles and reviews, and then go to this store to buy it. It's rare that there isn't a copy on hand, and if not they will have it there quickly. These small bookstores are need to be supported.

I started going there as a child in the late 1980s. The owner is a friendly, knowledgable guy who is there most of the time and the other staff are helpful, too. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman (I wish I'd gotten his name!) who immediately made us feel welcome. He was friendly, clearly passionate about books, and incredibly knowledgeable. He asked if it was our first time visiting, and when we said yes, he surprised us with an amazing gesture....a free book, each, tailored to our favorite genres. We were blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness. The store itself is a treasure. Books galore, neatly organized by genre, and the place is not super larger, but makes you just want to look at it all. They also have a great selection of puzzles throughout. It's obvious that this place is loved -- both by the people who work there and those who visit. I purchased one book and I felt the price was reasonable. I can't wait to come back to Red Wing and when I do, I think another stop at this charming bookstore is on the list. Highly recommend to any fellow book lovers!

Victoria is a cute little town and Chapter One is a lovely addition. There is a large section for younger readers and the adult section has many of the newest popular reads.
