This adorable little book store is one of the saving graces of this sad little mall. For such a…read moresmall store they have a very good selection of books from a wide range of genres. Their children/youth section is particularly impressive with high quality picture books and a solid selection of chapter books. The only downside is the prices are higher than what you'd find at a big box store. I for one will continue to shop at small, locally owned business when I can.

As I am not familiar with the types of books to buy, a kind lady assisted and spent a good amount of time with me to in finding a variety of books. She was so friendly and very helpful and made it a special experience for me. I am excited to give these books to my mom for Christmas. I've had the experience several times here asking for a book and getting very little help. They have young workers here who don't seem to have any literature experience, no interest, limited desire to offer service.... Chapter's and Bookland staff are more helpful.

I discovered they'd recently moved their pregnancy section to the very bottom shelf, in a very cramped walkway. Being 7.5 months pregnant and hardly able to tie my own shoes on a good day, I was a bit confused how I am supposed to get down on the ground to read the titles and browse the books I specifically came to find ! When I mentioned it to the store clerks, they shrugged and replied "Yes it seems a bit inconvenient", without offering any help. I walked out empty handed for obvious reasons ! I understand it was shortly before closing time, but I felt very dismissed when I pointed out the issue. Hopefully one of their workers has enough pride in their job to address this with their manager. I'm sure it was just an oversight and can be easily resolved !

I always enjoy going to Chapters. I love browsing the bestsellers and their different tables of…read morebooks, including "not just for teens" and "guaranteed reads". I also find that Heather's picks (their Oprah equivalent) are pretty solid reads. As for this Chapters location, I find that it is much more organized than other locations I've been too. It has a nice open feel, and it's really easy to find the different sections, including Well Being (no longer called Self Help) and Fitness. I find they also have more stock than at other locations. There's also a Starbucks inside the store so you can get your coffee and free Wi-Fi fix. As for the staff, there was a few wandering around the store in case you had any questions or wanted book suggestions. There's also plenty of parking outside the store, which is really convenient. Books at Chapters may be more expensive than at Costco, but the selection can't be beat. In terms of Chapters, this is one of the better one's I've been to.
