I got 5 custom made shirts here with details on the collar and cuff and we needed a few tries to get the sizing right since they are just starting off making women's shirts but success! Sayyad is the owner/operator in Austin and has been an excellent clothing consultant. I have been using his service for almost two years and ordered everything from business casual sport coats and slack, to business suits and even my wedding tux. Update 2/22: No response to my call or text. The order is now 11 weeks late and I have no idea what is going on. I am writing this in hopes I get a response and can resolve my issues. Will update if that happens... My measurement appointment with Sayyed was on 12/7 for 2 shirts and 1 pair of pants. I was told by Sayyed that the turn around is typically 4 weeks but due to the holiday it might take an extra week ( I'm willing to add in 2 weeks to be fair). I did not hear anything back from Sayyed until I reached out to him on 1/22, a little over 6 weeks from the order date - he assured me there were no issues and he would check on things. Sayyed then texted me on 1/29 letting me know my stuff was coming in and if I could come by to try on that Saturday 2/2, 8 weeks after the order. At this point I'm not concerned and am just chalking it up to the holiday. I then went over to try on everything and the pants weren't there and Sayyed didnt have an answer for when they were coming - it was like he didn't remember I had pants too. We tried shirts and they required alterations - no big deal, these things happen. He told me he would contact me in two weeks so he could come by my house with the pants and newly altered shirts so i could try on (this is not more convenient for me as I really dont want to have to schedule someone coming by my home). I sent a text last night asking for an escalation contact since I had not been contacted as promised. As of today 2/16 (10 weeks after the order), I have received no response. For those of you considering this business just know that the communication is not great and they seem to be VERY lax with timelines. read more

Had an order placed last week of February 2017 for a suit that I told them I will need for a wedding this April. 3/25/17, received an e-mail saying my part of the order is ready for fitting. Got to try the pants and a shirt 3/28/17. I was working with the manager Brittany, on that day I asked her if the suit jacket and the other shirt that I order will be ready before April 12, 2017. The manager informed me that it will be ready long before that day. 2 weeks passed and did not get an update. I sent Brittany a text message 4/7/17 and did not get a reply over the weekend. Called and left messages as well as sent text messages to Brittany on 4/10/17. No replies at all. Went by their show room around 5pm on 4/10/17 and no one was there even if the posted open hours were 12 noon to 6pm. Sent an inquiry to their head office and does not have a reply yet. I scheduled a pick up for today 4/11/17 to pick up what ever was ready and to see if the other items came as promised. Got to the appointment and was let in by somebody from another business they share their showroom with. 10 minutes after, the attendant came and was surprised that I had an appointment for pick up and was asking me if I received an e-mail from them. I told him I did not but I need to know if I can pick up my whole order. I was then informed that it was not there. The guy that was there also said that he has been calling Brittany but she is not answering her phone. I asked him what happened and he said, he does not know, and my order will "probably" arrive on 4/24/17. I informed him that I was promised it will be ready by today 4/11 for the wedding I am attending this weekend. I also informed him that by 4/24/17 I would not need the suit anymore. I asked if they have a corporate number and was told that they do, but corporate would not be able to help me at all. Well that sums it up. I felt I got scammed. I paid more than $800 for a suit jacket, suit pants, and 2 shirts and I got the pants and the 1 shirt. I asked the attendant to have Brittany call me once she comes in but I will probably not hear from her. I will see if I even get my other items from them. I might try to contest their charge with my credit card company for non-delivery but I will wait a little bit to see what they will do. I thought this kind of screw up will not happen since the Austin branch has good reviews, but it still occurred. I will not be doing business with these people again. They are unprofessional. They will promise you a lot of things but in the end, they really can't deliver and will leave you hanging. read more

This place has ruined me forever. As in, I never want to buy anything but custom clothes ever again. They do custom men's clothes and suits. I am a 5'1" 102lb woman, but Sayyed agreed to make me a custom suit to my measurements and, damn, I never felt so "dapper". Everything fit perfect, which I have apparently never experienced. As a woman, I never really even considered custom made pants, jackets, or shirts. I thought Express or other off-the-rack stores were my only option and that there would not even be much of a difference until I put my BookATailor clothes on. Since then, I have had four more shirts made and each one looks better than I ever imagined. I get to choose every detail on the shirt, and they actually fit my chest and waist perfect because its made just for my body. I will be going back for more pants because this is the first time I've ever fit so well in a pair of pants. And best part is, I never have to visit the alterations place again to get pants hemmed! It all costs the same as the off-the-rack stores and is far above the quality and fit plus, like I said, no extra alteration costs. Perfect for any shorty like me. Both Brittany and Sayyed who I dealt with were very sweet and awesome to work with. I even got to sip on some scotch while I picked out my material choices. Its a painless and fun process. Measuring is quick and easy and other than getting to pick out everything you desire, that's about it. I've recommended this to both my male and female friends and they have also had amazing experiences. Several of my lady friends have ordered from them as well and have been very happy. I can't wait till their women's line comes to Austin! All the guys I've seen in the suits look amazing and men should only wear custom suits from now on ;).
