It is still a bit far (35min), but doable. I also wasnt sure if i would be able to eat something because wheat noodles, but the staff were awesome enough to allow my substitution of wheat noodles for glass noodles in the dish i had chosen. I had originally made the nice lady very nervous with my request and she tried to convince me to try the dish that was advertised with the glass noodles, but i assured her that it would be fine as i normally eat noodles without soup. I ordered the 3 oil noodles with ground pork. It was very tasty. Especially after i added vinegar and the house chili oil. Definitely coming back.

One of the highlights is the handmade noodles, which you can customize in thickness, from delicate angel hair to something as hearty as fettuccine. The menu has plenty of variety beyond soups, including dumplings, spring rolls, stir-fried noodles, and oil-tossed noodle dishes. I also tried the braised intestines on the side; while they were well-prepared, the texture wasn't quite for me--I'd probably enjoy them more if they were fried. Ordering is convenient, whether you prefer doing it in person, through the app, or at the kiosk. The space has a good number of tables for dining in, and there's even a piano if you know how to play. Overall, it's been a consistently enjoyable spot for lunch.

It was our first time visiting, and it definitely won't be our last. The customer service was just okay--not rude, but nothing memorable. There's plenty of seating, which is a plus. I'm new to the Catonsville area and was looking forward to trying this Korean food hall…read more Unfortunately, my experience left a very BAD and NEGATIVE impression. Most of the vendors didnt appear friendly when I walked around but Inignore that. I selected the stall second from the door on the left. The woman and man working there were noticeably unfriendly from the start. The interaction felt cold and unwelcoming, and the looks and tone throughout the transaction were negative enough that it made me uncomfortable. I was also charged extra for rice to go with my general tso chicken and then charged $1 for a take-out box, even though I originally said I was eating there as I did but had significant left overs . It felt unnecessary and petty. The situation got worse when I bought a 12-oz Diet Coke from another vendor next to the pastry shop on the right when you walk in. I handed the cashier a $20 bill. The register clearly showed $18.41, yet he gave me $13.41 in change and walked away. When I called him back and showed him the numbers, he initially hesitated and spoke in another language rather than addressing the issue. Only after I showed him the cash that I left on the counter did he reopen the register and give me the $5 he had not returned. Mistakes can happen, but the combination of the horrible attitudes, the way I was treated, and the hesitation to correct the change left me questioning whether I was being treated differently. As a Black customer, that concern is real and cannot be ignored. First impressions matter, especially when someone new to the area is trying to support local businesses. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel unwelcome. I won't be returning and will spend my money elsewhere.

I had driven past this location many times but never had a chance to go in to try them…read more Pho is my go to nourishment when I start feeling a little under the weather. Since the location I typically grab my broth from crushed my heart when they told me they no longer sold broth when I tried to pick some up on my way home Friday, I had to find an alternative. Not being able to leave the house today, I was fortunate my mother wanted to bring me something to help me feel better. I instantly remembered Man Vs Pho and ran to Yelp first to look at recommendations as well as pictures. I then went to their website to check out the menu and was pleased to find they offered the broth by itself in a 32 oz container of either beef, chicken or vegetable and I quickly added it to my list. I was expecting my mother to call me when she got there but the next thing I knew, she was telling me to open the door. I love she didn't have a problem with ordering and she informed me that it was nice inside and she jokingly rubbed the Buddhas belly and head for good luck. She did say they didn't have any takeout menus at the counter to take with her since she was curious about the food and wanted to try some also. They also didn't put one in the bag either. The broth definitely did is job. I almost passed out after drinking about 75% of it. Steaming hot and burnt my tongue just as wonderful as I could have asked for. It was a little bit on the salty side so I did have to hydrate myself throughout and also why I couldn't finish all of it. The death of the flavor wasn't as intense as others I've tried but I would have to try their beef broth to actually compare it to others. They really came through in the clutch and I'm so glad for that. There's definitely on my list to try again so that I can see if I have a new Pho spot.

Came here for some Chinese food takeout for lunch…read more The restaurant is located in Route 40 West, the same shopping area as the H Mart. There is plenty of parking available in the area outside the store. The ambiance was cool, with folks coming in and out and there is also seating to enjoy your food onsite. If you've been ordering Chinese food as long as I have, you know the best time to purchase is during their "lunchtime" special for a great price on a smaller portion of your favorite item. It's usually accompanied by a basic fried rice, white rice, or noodles. I ordered the shrimp egg foo yung lunch special with fried rice; pork yak; and shrimp egg rolls. I like China Chef because they have an open kitchen just behind the counter and can see them preparing orders. We placed our order with a pleasant lady at the counter, paid in advance, and did some shopping at the local grocery store and came back to pick it up. We came back to pick up our order and it was waiting for us. We opened the bag to check that it was correct, grabbed assorted condiments (soy ,duck, and hot sauce packets) and cutlery and were on our way. The pork yat was good, not overly oily and drenched in soy sauce. There were fried yellow onions and a boiled egg included. The shrimp egg foo yung lunch special consisted of two patties made with egg, shrimp, and onions with fried rice and a small container of gravy. It was just ok, lacking a fair amount of shrimp. The gravy was light-skinned, lol, but ok as well. The egg rolls were a nice, hefty size deep fried and not greasy at all. It was a decent egg roll with shrimp scattered about, but not as good as I wanted it to be. All in all, a nice place to grab some traditional Chinese takeout.

Overall: small spot inside of Lotte, okay food, high prices for the quality…read more The hours on Yelp for this did not match our experience. We tried to go at 9 and 10 on weekends but they were closed. This weekend we got there at 11 on Sunday and they seemed to be just opening. I've been stoked to try this place because I love Burmese food, but it didn't hit for us. Our donuts were soggy. They tasted underdone. The green curry was watery, but spicy. It was a big portion, but almost no chicken. I was most excited for the tea leaf salad, but I think there must have been something that got lost in translation because what we got was most definitely not a tea leaf salad. I was so sad when I opened the take out in the car. It was also slow. We ordered, grocery shopped, and when we came back it still wasn't ready yet.

If there was a 3.5 star option, I feel like that would be the most accurate representation here. The place itself is located on the wall of the Lotte in Catonsville and it looks like a small family-run establishment. Service was kind, but admittedly a bit of a language barrier which may have affected some of the ordering process. In total, we ordered the tea leaf salad, a curry dish, seafood noodles, and the asian doughnuts. While I was hoping for fresh, vibrant dishes, my expectations fell a bit short where some of the proteins felt a bit tough and other ingredients felt a bit soggy. The flavor profile was good (one of those places where spicy means spicy), but it did lean a bit on the seafoody/fishy side. I still think it warrants checking out because it's not often that there's Burmese cuisine available.
