No music, no food service, or anything that shows that tried to create a nice vibe. It's literally just some chairs on the rooftop. The bar has a bartender, not mixologist, who makes drinks that I can make better at home. The little drinks are served un-garnished in tiny plastic cups and cost $15+. Not to mention they will take whatever tip amount they like out if you forget to close your tab. So my basic plastic cup of lemon, sugar, and a splash of vodka (I can't even call it a lemon drop) was $20. I wish I had taken a photo of how tiny the cups are.

Really disappointing experience…read more Vue honestly felt pretty bare bones to me. Yes, I learned some things about the culture and people of New Orleans and I got a few good pictures but I wouldn't recommend this at all. I was hoping to get a picture with my sister as indicated on the website but I didn't see anyone offer that or see it as an option once we made it there. I thought the mini story in the elevator was fun, short of course but they need to restructure this place I honestly was unimpressed. The website suggest it takes an hour and a half to experience the whole place, we walked the whole place, took pictures, watched 2 videos in well under an hour and a half. The employees were very nice and helpful; maybe I expected to much of Vue but I say temper your expectations.

Inside, Tonique was the eye of the storm, dim, tight, buzzing with locals, drunks, vagrants drifting through, and a gaggle of business bros with no concept of anything outside their tiny echo chamber. Desmond was holding it down like an air traffic controller with a lighter and a grudge. Speed, snark, and skill balanced like a pro. I watched him build five classics at a time, clean and fast, no mixology cosplay, no wasted motion. Trinidad Sours landing with that bitter, spicy swagger, and green chartreuse laden libations that tasted like monks invented joy and then hid it in a fucking bottle. That's the magic here. Dive bar soul, serious cocktail execution, and a bartender who can run triage without breaking the spell. Drink here, tip heavy, then step back out into the bacchanal. The streets can have the chaos. Tonique has the craft. We'll be back.

At first glance, the place may look like a dive, but it has a great neighborhood bar vibe, excellent cocktails, and very affordable prices. On both days we visited, the place was packed, yet the crowds never affected the service. The bartenders were incredibly efficient, turning out drink after drink without missing a beat. Everything we tried was spot on. They clearly know what they're doing, and the prices make it even better. it's truly a steal

The atmosphere is the perfect mix of laid-back, lively, and also a lil bit of classy, whether you're stopping in for a casual drink or making a night out of it. The cocktails are crafted really well (definitely try one of the signature drinks). The food doesn't miss either -- everything I've had has been fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. It's one of those places where you can pull up with friends, have a few drinks, and end up staying way longer than you planned. Highly recommend if you're in the city and want a good time without the stress.

The fish was well-seasoned, the eggs came out exactly as ordered (fried hard), and the biscuit was straight. Overall, everything we ordered was decent. The service was okay. Our waitress was friendly, but she didn't check in very often--possibly because we were chatting a lot and they were still setting up for the day. Drink prices were about average for city cocktails. Most drinks have prices listed, except for the mimosa flight and the margarita flight. Just a heads up: the margarita "flight" isn't really a flight. Instead of smaller pours, it comes as four full-size margaritas, so it's more of a margarita combo than a traditional flight. The flavors included regular (lime), strawberry, watermelon, and blueberry. I had the watermelon margarita and really enjoyed it--it wasn't too strong or too sweet. I also had a French 75, which was pretty standard and decent. And lastly, I don't know who needs to hear this, but their grits are creamy. They were good, but I personally prefer non-creamy grits, so I couldn't eat too much. If you love creamy grits, though, you'll definitely enjoy them. I wanna note that this place is a bit hard to find. It's located in a strip of businesses, but there isn't a sign above the building and the door signage is small, so it's easy to miss from a distance. I honestly wasn't sure I was in the right place until I got really close to the building.....and saw the grass runway LOLLLLL Another small note...I definitely think they should reprint the menu--there were quite a few typos. As my favorite YouTuber would say, that was neither here nor there, that was just a side note! Aside from that, the food and vibe was decent.

We grabbed drinks in the lounge area while waiting for seats at the famous spinning carousel bar since seating is first come, first served. Around 11:20 PM, seats finally opened up and it was 100% worth the wait. The carousel bar itself is such a cool experience and something you have to do at least once when visiting New Orleans. Located inside the beautiful Hotel Monteleone, the atmosphere was amazing. Live band playing, classy but fun vibe, great energy, and the staff was attentive even with how busy it was. Every drink we ordered was excellent. This place is iconic for a reason and we'd absolutely come back again.

It had the perfect mix of sweet heat and flavor. Both drinks were so good we ended up ordering two rounds while sitting at the rotating bar listening to a live jazz band. Watching the bartenders work while slowly moving around the bar made the whole experience unique and entertaining. Definitely a must-visit spot in New Orleans.

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!
