This is a very nice, comfortable and tastefully decorated spot. It's got a Japanese style bonsai plant and a few decorations. But the room is pink with a black and white tile floor which does not say Japanese to me. The drinks are also not Japanese but they are good. The coffee is from a local roaster. They informed they hoped to start roasting in house soon. My wife enjoyed her Tiramisu latte! The service is friendly and they hold fun events on some weekends so keep a look out! The events are also announced on instagram. Life is good with a local unique coffee shop that holds events!

So impressed with our first visit here! Our Barista Ean was welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable. After explaining my dietary needs he made a special Matcha-Ube Latte just for me and it was delicious. He then showed Clyde their Kyoto cold brew tower and gave us samples to try (yum!). Clyde's hazelnut latte was really (really!) good as well. Bonsai is a Clearwater coffee roaster and their coffee is available at other cafes throughout the area. We don't live in the neighborhood but we will definitely be making the drive up to spend time here again. Recommend!!

Super cute ambiance. Plants make it super calming. Service was quick enough with only 1 employee. Coffee was yummy.

Cute little spot. It wasn't is a plaza I expected. It looked like an old diner. Service was pretty good and they also made the drinks pretty quickly. We were going to try the food but it's just the standard breakfast sandwich you can get at Costco. It's super cute with all the plants too!

We tried Bonsai earlier today. The season's first cold front came through, so it was time for a hot pumpkin spice latte. Upon entering Bonsai, I immediately thought I was in the wrong store. I thought perhaps we'd entered an ice cream parlor. The walls were pink, there was a black & white tiled floor, & there were swivel stools up at the counter. We ordered the small Pumpkin Spice Lattes (PSL). The cups were small, & the price of about $6 was very much on the high end. The PSL tasted good, but nothing stood out about it. I wish them well, as I didn't see too many customers.

One thing I enjoy is trying different coffee roasters. Came to Bonzai Beverage Co off the 19 and was pleasantly surprised. Ian was cordial and very nice. The decor is beautiful and peaceful and being a remote worker I will be coming here often. The coffee bar and nostalgic with a mix of Asian art and 50's. I definitely recommend enjoying a cup and conversation with Ian. He is very knowledgeable too.

Cute seating area with merch - and coffee table terrarium!

Super delicious coffee and chill atmosphere! I love the decoration and attention to detail they put into Bonsai. Their coffee is delicious - so far I've tried their rose iced latte, their Kyoto cold brew (YUM) and their whipped coffee. Even my husband who is not a coffee drinker likes their stuff! What's nice is that the coffee is strong without being bitter. Will be back :)

Upon walking in during my initial visit, I immediately saw a bag of Coffee & Whiskey whole beans and I knew this place was right up my alley. Henceforth, my Sunday routine will be yoga, then coffee! So far, my go to drink is the Old Fashioned Latte. It's creamy perfection! I enjoyed every sip!

I'm drinking their Old St. Pete and after sipping a bit of it black, over ice, I can't get the taste of smooth coffee enhanced with rich whiskey notes out of my system. This coffee is so refined, balanced, and straight (no bitterness) my hairs jumped on my arm. So the coffee is good, yeah? Yes. It's incredible. Those old spice commercials from the 2010's about who, what, where, why and how ("on the back of a horse on the beach") is the quintessential idea behind what you're tasting here. The price for this bag was $40 and it's steep for sure, I however I'm not regretting every little sip I take. 10 out of 10 coffee. Unforgettable experience, unique taste, distinct flavors, and drinking it black will put hair on my chest from the euphoria of sipping on it. One last thing, on a separate note, the hours and lack of communication hurt this business deeply. I was only able to get a bag of coffee as I happened upon someone inside working. For a "micro roastery" the coffee speaks for itself, I only wish the business spoke as much as their coffee.

In fact, the staff couldn't be nicer, and they were quite patient as I spent some time ogling the bakery case making my decisions. My selections were all sweets today. Blueberry croissant - a first for me and utterly delicious (couldn't wait to get home and had to have a bite in my car!). An almond and chocolate croissant - the gold standards. I topped off my order with the classically French tarte au pomme and a fresh berry tart with cream filling. Just divine, each and every one! Jerome's does not disappoint!

To call this French is an insult to France! I was born and…read moreraised in France, getting my bakery goods in the mornings from bakery down the street. The ambience was nice and so was service, but that's where the good things end. This was a disaster and shameful that it's called French. Serving croissants and eclairs and putting French names to menu items does not make something French. We ordered a turkey omelette with eggs on top, an eclair, a chocolate croissant, a croissant with ham and cheese and tomato and lettuce, and a cream filled beignet. Let's start with the bakery goods. All bakery goods should be made fresh that same morning. The croissants, and pastries all should be flaky and taste fresh. These were hard as if they were all yesterday's leftovers. The filling on the beignet was obviously a Jell-O pudding mix, and definitely not homemade. The eclair for some reason had some kind of supposed chantilly cream and raspberry instead of the traditional filling, and both of those fillings were also all store-bought. The eclair was also stale and tasted like it had been in the fridge since yesterday. The omelette was an absolute joke. If you look at the picture I posted, my index finger was actually taller than the entire omelette which is supposed to be filled with ham and cheese as you can see from the post photo. The ham and cheese were also packaged meat and cheese as you can tell since they all were sliced exactly in the same way and same size and tasted processed, and the cheese wasn't even melted completely. The omelette was just incredibly dry and bland. The croissant suffered from the same disease. It was hard, not flaky, and tasted stale as if it had been made yesterday, and all of the meat and cheese was obviously packaged meat and cheese which tasted processed. This tastes nothing like anything you would find at any French bakery in France. In France. Everything is made the same day, and the moment it starts going stale and stops being flaky, is thrown away. This is an absolute insult to French bakeries. Even if you compare it to other American bakeries and breakfast places, nothing tasted good and for that price, it should. Definitely avoid this place. I know I will.
