I've had my eye on this place for the longest time since last year, and all I knew was that it was a sister location to the Healing Hedge Witch. As you can imagine, I've been anticipating it for a while.
As of this Spring? It appears to have finally opened!
The servers were very patient with newcomers and affable as well, and I never doubted this place for a second on that matter. The environment is very clean and it has a modern feel with a sort of victorian twist to it, and it maintains a very chill ambiance with alot of lofi in the background which is a stellar choice for a tea lounge. Couches, chairs, even little tables further back into the restaurant, there's no shortage of seating anywhere! Heck, they even have a little counter with seating, which is always my go-to spot at any place when I'm alone.
So the store has various coffees and teas, as well as pastries. As it was my first time, and I have a natural affinity for Summer, I ordered the seasonal Summer Solstice. It was properly steeped, flavorful, and it had a nice citrusy aftertaste as I expected. It felt like the candle of the same name from its sister location, but one you could *drink* this time.
Outside of pastries and refreshments, they sell various teas you can brew at home, syrups and honeys, and other ceramic goods meant to hold your tea or tea supplies, which was a nice touch.
The store is still in its infancy stages so I encourage patience with it. After all, at "The Potionary", you gotta let a potion brew to be at full potency much like you do with tea, and I see this store becoming yet another gem in Tarpon Springs' ring. I look forward to seeing this place thrive and evolve! read more
