If it were possible I would give a -5. I purchased a puppy from here on 1 June. I had to put the puppy down on 17 June. The place is terrible. I have wanted a mini rat terrier for years. I was excited that one was relatively close. I should have turned around when I saw the house. I should have turned around when I saw the "kennels". I should have turned around!!! The kennels are dirt floor with no way to disinfect them. They are merely chain link pens. When I was on the way to Augusta my daughter said the puppy was only 6 weeks old. It is against the law to sell a puppy before 8 weeks in GA. I was told she had her first 2 shots. My vet would not give her shots until she was 8 weeks old. We took her to the vet as soon as we got home. She weighed 15 Oz. We came back to the vet on 17 June. The puppy was having seizures. The vet asked if the mom had her shots. No, I was told by Bonnie that a dog only needs the first year vaccines and no more. When I asked her, more than once, for her vet info she never gave it to me. I'm not sure if her dogs or puppies ever see vets. Because the mom did not have distemper shots my puppy never got the antibodies. The "shots" the puppy was given were from a retailer not a vet. $500 for a puppy that had no vet care EVER, from a mom who had not had vet care after her first year. This is a back yard breeder who only cares about the $$ in her pocket not the health of her dogs. NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE! She blamed the illness on my vet, me, anything but her. She never took responsibility. She would not refund but offered me another puppy. Why would I do that after learning she doesn't take care of her dogs. read more
