I found the interaction inappropriate, presumptuous, and inconsistent with the level of professionalism I would expect from a customer-facing employee. Upon entering the store, the sales associate greeted me by saying, "Hey Mama." I was taken aback by this and asked her directly why she was referring to me as "Mama." Rather than acknowledging that the comment was inappropriate or simply apologizing, she responded, "I assume you were a mama." I left your store immediately. I find this response particularly concerning. The sales associate did not know me, had no personal information about me, and had no basis for making an assumption about my personal circumstances. Regardless of what she may have intended, referring to a customer as "Mama" based on an assumption about their appearance, pregnancy, or parental status is presumptuous and crosses an appropriate professional boundary.

I don't have kids, so what the heck do I know about buying gifts for them? Answer - nothing! And…read morethat's why a store like Little Peeps is great. I go in, explain the age and gender of the child I'm buying for, give a few adjectives about the parents, provide a budget, and BOOM they bring out a bunch of stuff to choose from. The store itself is really cute. The people who work there are pleasant, and they sell some fair-trade and environmentally friendly toy and clothing options. Worth a gander if you're in the neighbourhood.

I could not get over the huge inventory in the store, and also the superior organization of all those baby clothes. Everything is hanging there, filed from new baby to over two or three years and it really made it easy for me to select some cute items. I had no idea if would be so inexpensive, but apparently the clothes are donated by caregivers . They are somewhat used, perhaps, but still in excellent condition. It appeared to me that they might have been overstocked items in popular Canadian clothing stores. I bought six items and it cost me $12.00. Wow!! In this day and age, that's quite a saving. The woman who sucks is the brunette Caucasian girl. I was the only person in the store and she didn't even help me at all. The other girl, of darker complexion, was way better once she came off break, but I was already too aggravated to want to buy anything. This has happened THREE TIMES NOW. I sort of want to ask them when the white girl works so I can just avoid her altogether. Besides being overpriced, I've seen a number of pieces of clothing from nightwear to baby wear that has stains on it. The first thing I chocked up as a one time item stain, but now it's been enough that I don't understand what's going on (although looks like an oil stain). Anyway, customer service is awful and everything is overpriced. If I didn't HAVE MONEY THERE TO SPEND, I wouldn't go back.

I hadn't ever been in before and was the only customer in the store. What drew me in was the mid-season sale advertised in the window. I tried on a dress that looked gorgeous on the hanger, but just wasn't quite right. The staff paid no attention to me in the dressing room. No questions about fit or if they could help find something different. I left without purchasing anything. Selection looked quite extensive and they carry some nice lines, but ZERO customer service.

I'm a big fan of vintage and consignment shopping and so, I was very happy when I found this store. If you are familiar with the Kingsway area of Toronto, it is probably one of the wealthiest in the city, and I assume that the locals are the consignors. What does this mean? Great name brands at great prices! I think I came during the seasonal inventory change because I saw some great finds for $20 or less. I wish I had more time, I only picked up a suede skirt for $10! I WILL go back. Maybe today! I saw a pair of shoes that I didn't buy, but dreamt about last night. It's a small place, but if you have time and patience, you just may find a fantastic deal. p.s.
