This is our second time using Bonfante Collision Center in Gilroy, and once again they completely exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of outstanding. It's honestly hard to find a repair shop these days that delivers this level of quality, communication, and customer service, and Bonfante does all of that and more. Our vehicle was repaired perfectly -- you would never know it had been in an accident. The workmanship was flawless, and the attention to detail really stood out. On top of that, when we picked up our Suburban, it was clean, spotless, and detailed, inside and out. That extra effort means a lot, and it shows how much pride they take in their work. One of the biggest things that stood out to me and my wife was the constant communication throughout the entire repair process. We came here because it was highly recommended after we had issues with Caliber Collision. When we got back our Jeep, we noticed that my daughters' change slots were completely empty, which there was about $10 in quarters in the slots. Not only this but her nice white pocket knife was missing, Yeti stickers, her pepper spray was gone and also a lot of things were moved around. People who know Jeeps know that there is pretty much no room in the back of a 2 door Jeep. But somehow things my daughter had in the very back of the Jeep ended up on the front seat. Her school parking pass that was hanging was now in the center console. The items from the center consul and glove compartment were in the front of the jeep on floor and behind rear seat. Dashcam was unplugged. Things from the center console were in the cup holders. When my daughter went back to the shop and asked about all of it she was told that they didn't go through her stuff Because they "didn't go in the vehicle". For starters... you kind of have to get in the vehicle, to start it, to move it to the shop and drive it around.... miles don't get added for driving 10 feet. The lady in the office is very gruff and was rude to everyone. She refused to talk to my insurance company. That she "would not deal with insurance companies".She said that I would pay and submit the bill to my insurance for reimbursement. As others on here have mentioned this place cost twice as much as other places. I came in with a 1 inch dent on my daughters vehicle and they insisted on doing the whole entire entire panel, removing it and fixing a little ding that had nothing to do with the accident my daughter was in. She said, "Well it's my name on the work, so it has to be done." We could have cared less about the little ding because it was on the top and couldn't be seen unless you look closely. It is pretty sad that you have to worry about a body shop stealing your stuff. My dad gave my daughter a special pocket knife before he passed away last year and it's not an item that's replaceable. But the body shop could care less. If you have valuables make sure you lock them up because they just may go missing here. When we got the vehicle back, the little dent was gone and they also did NOT put the fender on correctly. We couldn't figure out why the hood wouldn't close properly. My daughter would try to slam it shut and it would always pop open. It turned out that this shop installed it 1cm above where it normally goes, so we had to get a spacer put on at out local shop just so my daughter could close her hood. I submitted the bill to my insurance and they refused to pay me. I was told to report it to CA Dept of Insurance, which I did. They couldn't come to an agreement because they said that Bonfante took advantage and added unnecessary things to the bill that could not be justified. So now I have to take USAA to small claims court to try to get my money reimbursed to me. So my advice would be that if a collision center wont speak to insurance when it's an insurance claim, turn and run the other way. It's all about greed. It should have been just the little dent addressed, not excess crap we didn't care about so they can make more money. It's interesting they unplugged the dashcam otherwise we could have shown whoever stole all of my daughters items but according to Dawn, no one ever went into the vehicle. read more

It is LESS than a years since I sent in the review dated 6/16/23 in regards to the concern I had with work done on my vehicle. Well,,,,,,,,, the spots that I talked to them about has started to rust again. One of the main concerns was the the gutters above the doors and now it is going bad !!!!!!! See my [revious review to understand my situation. I did e-mail them to tell them the repairs were now not done correctly and they have totally ignored me. Too bad he wasn't there when I took my vehicle in there BUT, his staff were very pleased to d the job and assured me it would be fixed properly. Everyone we dealt with was extremely pleasant and professional (Mike, Dawn, and Abbey). Our vehicle was returned in beautiful condition. No evidence of the original damage could be found, and the paint matched perfectly. They not only returned the vehicle with a cleaner exterior then when it arrived, but they went above and beyond by vacuuming and cleaning the interior. My truck was rear ended a couple of months back and Bonfante Collision Center was recommended to me by a friend and a professional in the field. Right off the bat Mike was friendly, accommodating and let me know that he would do whatever he could to take care of me and my truck. As soon as I dropped my truck at the shop , Mike had tracked down a rental truck for me and I was good to go. During the process there was a delay in some parts being delivered and the repairs took longer than Mike had quoted me. Mike worked with me to offset some of the cost of the extra rental fees which was surprising and greatly appreciated. My truck came out looking as good as new and I had no complaints. This team was so easy to work with. Bumper replacement - not a huge job but they made it seamless. I took it in for assessment per my appointment, Roger had me in and out in 15 minutes. He scheduled a drop off time, ordered the parts ahead of my drop, they arranged the rental, handled all the insurance paperwork, and were done a day early. We have used this shop twice now, both with AAA insurance claim accidents. Both times we've used them we have had the best experience! Mike, Javier and Jamil really understand how to make their customers experience as smooth as possible even under the most inconvenient circumstances. We took my wife's care in to have them look at some scratches that occurred when the car was hit last week in a parking lot. Jameel took some pictures and then his tech was able to wipe down the section that was hit. What was left was a few small scratches. Jameel asked if we could live we the scratches and we said yes.
