Been to Bonefish a few times in the past and it's always a decent meal. But this time was really just mediocre and has left me feeling like I have no desire to return. Our waitress was very friendly, and the restaurant was nice and clean. But the food really was nothing too impressive. Caesar Salad: 2/5, hard to mess up a Caesar but this one was really lacking. Barley any dressing and it was oil based so the salad was basically just romaine with 2 croutons on a plate. Left 3/4 of it. Bang Bang Shrimp: 4/5, this is the reason I come to bonefish to begin with. The bang bang shrimp is always very good. This was a nice portion as well. (Only $7 on Wednesday) Thai Coconut Shrimp: 3/5, these were VERY well done, basically blackened. So if that's how you like your shrimp then great..if not then these wouldn't be a great choice. Good flavor but a little over cooked. Spicy Tuna Bowl: 2/5, I really wanted some sesame seared tuna but this really turned me off. Luke warm tuna with a fishy taste just was not appetizing and felt like a chore to eat. The plain white rice, avocado, & mango salsa were all alright but the main part of this dish (tuna) really made me feel uneasy. Wouldn't get again. Overall, I might come back here for some appetizers and soup. But the entrees, and salads I'll probably skip. No plans to come back anytime soon but who knows. read more

The corn and crab chowder was the only good part. House salad and Ahi Poke bowl had a lot of brown lettuce. the crab cakes were not cooked. I requested mashed potatoes with butter when I sent my salad back. I was brought a cup of melted butter to pour over them. the place had no other customers at this time. Kind of your run of the mill, olive garden for seafood. Nothing horrible about it but nothing great. Service is average, food is a little below par, but I do really like the atmosphere. Their bang bang shrimp used to be their big selling item, but its just shrimp in a creamy, almost mayonnaise hot sauce. Good shrimp shouldn't have a mayo dressing on it. I like this chain restaurant because they have great specials. I don't get to go to the bone fish a lot but every time I got I find a dish on the house special menu that totally satisfy my pallet. Each piece of fish comes with two sides. Portions of fish are good size but feel like the sides could be 25-30% bigger to better accompany the main dish. Good selection of wine and liquor. I alway sit at the bar and the bartenders are very pleasant and don't mind chatting with customers whenever they get a short break from making drinks. read more

Here for dinner I been to many of Bonefish and always like them. My meal was okay not the greatest. My husband had the sea bass it looks good he loved it. I had the shrimps and scallops on a pasta it was okay. I was disappointed they used small shrimps and baby scallops so it was over cooked and hard. I was hopping it would a large size one. read more

Looks like these guys are on the way out. We go to bonefish a couple of times a year, even trough Covid with they're limited menu we supported them. Food continually has gotten worse. Changing the salad ingredients, dressings etc. They use to have my fav salad to add salmon, not any more. Bang shrimp just a over cooked blob of shrimp in Mayo on pile of lettuce. Calamari has went through changes , no longer has peppers. Grilled salmon is always served with to much oil that was flame kissed so it leaves black carbon oil on plate. They have changed Wagyu sliders to reg. Sliders. Makes me wonder we're they Wagyu to begin with. Just a huge let down. We know seafood and would go here as a alternative, we will never go back. They are loosing they're loyal customer base with all these bad changes. Tell cooperate to stop changing and start maintaining.. I'm saying it use to be a reliable chain, now it's a crap shoot & and I work too hard to gamble my money on a shi**ty dinner. Very disappointed. Service was fine. Only maybe 10 people in the restaurant on a monday night, still took almost an hour before we got our food. You could tell the lobster was frozen, and it was room temp. The macncheese had no seasoning, and the asparagus was just bland, better after you salt it yourself. Mid all around, the bread they served was easily the best part. Steak was just alright, but it was cooked perfectly to temperature. The waiter was super nice, we liked him a lot. Decor is very pretty, good music, soft lighting. It was 75 bucks for two plates, 90 after tip, and it was just completely not worth it. My girlfriend got the salmon and didn't finish it. It was mushy and slimey in your mouth, and the seasoning just wasn't very tasty. She did enjoy the jasmine rice, and i finished her whipped potatoes for her. Our dinner tonight at Bonefish was EXCELLENT. We ordered Crab Crusted Cod and tuna entrees. The entrees were delivered exactly as ordered, correct temperature and very speedy! The crab crusted Cod will be a new 'go to' for us after this trip. The meal was only bested by SPECTACULAR SERVICE conducted by Madeline P. She was attentive, she had a great attitude, her appearance shows that she has pride in herself and her job, She was happy to suggest menu items and all points on her service were completed with accuracy and speed. Not the best Bonefish we've been to. The worst actually. This particular location ranks lowest on atmosphere. The air conditioning blows directly on you, and despite repeated requests to our server and another worker, either they pretend to do something about it, or they could care less, we couldn't tell. As a result we ordered less that we would have, ate and ran, and did not get dessert. It was not the pleasant dining experience that the chain purports to be. You will see that other reviewers experienced the same thing, one repeatedly. So, Management know of this and are doing nothing about it, and that should tell you something about what they think of their customers. While our server on the face of it was very friendly and attentive, he couldn't or wouldn't take care of our simple request,and failing that, when returning to our table, acted as if it wasn't an issue. Still kicking myself for tipping him 20% which he didn't deserve. Don't remember his name but he looked a little like a young William Macy. We've been here several times and have always had a good time. Great food/drinks - great service. The last time we were here it was just my husband, son, and myself. We usually are a party of five or more. There was no wait, and the restaurant was not full by any means. The server/hostess ? immediately took us into the bar to seat us. I would have much preferred the other side in the restaurant area, but we were not given the choice, and she left before we could even ask. Kind of off-putting. Reputable restaurants will always ask. The server/hostess/bartender that sat us had little to no personality. I get it that maybe she needed the money and sat herself. First time here and I'm pretty impressed, I got the dinner for 2 and it fed 3 people and probably could have fed a 4th. Our waitress was spot on, she had great suggestions and we never had to look for her she was making her rounds in perfect time. We got the dinner for 2 which was about $50 bucks but well worth it it came with bang bang shrimp , 2 side salads which were huge, 3 sides and 4 different samples. Jesse was our waitress both when we came in on Mother's Day and today - and she remembered us! That was 4 months ago, so I'm impressed. She was wonderful - attentive but not always up your ass interrupting conversations and rushing to turn the table like most waitresses do now. I went with a friend this evening have lived here for years it was not a place I had thought about before. The majority of the dishes are seafood, wood fire grilled, and I noted that most of the items were 'wild' caught. Which is always a plus. Served with chips it was more than enough for two and actually would have made a meal of it had I been alone. Kept thinking how great it would be served over a salad. My friend had the Salmon Salad, with Fennel. It was served with the salmon on the side and asparagus. Honestly this was billed as a salad, but the salmon was a large portion , with a large salad with fresh baby organic mix, fennel, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and a vinegarette dressing, and several crisp not overcooked asparagus. It too was just the right portions and perfectly presented. I had coffee and water, I was drving but my friend had a watermelon martini and a cucumber mint martini. I tasted both the watermelon was just sweet enough and almost sinfully smooth . The cucumber mint was a bit odd, but still not a bad drink, just a different mix,and not something I would want regularly. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, and food was excellent . I took my brothers out to dinner here last night. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server Maya was quick to greet us and she was very sweet and attentive! My brothers ordered soda and I, a coffee. She warned me ahead of time that she would brew some fresh for me so that it would be a small wait! It was brought to me hot and fresh with cream and a selection of sweeteners (A++ from me)! We started with warm bread and pesto (delicious). I had the bang bang shrimp appetizer (my favorite). My brother had the burger with fries because he is picky and he cleaned his plate. My other brother had the bang bang shrimp tacos which was more than he expected (plenty of food). I enjoyed the filet mignon with the crab cake and sides of spinach and jasmine rice (super yummy). We ended with dessert. I had the lava cake and ice cream. My brother had the cheesecake with raspberry (again demolished it and brought another home to my mom) my other brother had the coconut pie and noticed an "alcohol flavor" to it so he didn't enjoy it but I thought it was delicious! Like everyone says, the Bang Bang Shrimp are fantastic! Nice atmosphere too. However, this is not a 5-star restaurant. They have a Kobe beef burger on the menu (and it's one of their star menu items), but it may as well not be. They do not grind their own beef, and it's probably a frozen patty shipped from Texas. Probably why it's so cheap. Therefore, they aren't allowed to cook it rare, and mine wasn't even medium even though I asked for rare. A true Kobe beef burger can be found at Marc's on Market. Bottomline... don't go to Bonefish for beef. And even though Bonefish is kind of a seafood place, you can find fresher, local, more interesting seafood at Hieronymus. read more

My husband and I received some gift cards to chain restaurants over the holidays. While we tend to frequent small Mom and Pop restaurants, chains deserve love, too. Especially our Bonefish Grill in Wilmington. For starters, I have never met a merrier staff. Everyone from the hostess to the server to everyone in between was exceptionally friendly. The menu is quite extensive and showcases everything from appetizers to specialty dishes. My husband ordered the Cod Imperial, stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, mozzarella, Parmesan, and lemon caper butter. He declared that the dish exceeded his expectations. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. They were originally to be served with French fries, but the kind server asked if I wanted a different side. I chose the garlic whipped potatoes. Creamy and decadent, they were the perfect compliment to the crispy, spicy shrimp. Our great experience caused to fondly remember the giver of the gift card.
